Charles watched the current battle with a raised brow noticing how the new comer was seeming to refuse to take the first move, seeing that instead of simply taking this as a fight Griffin was pretty much testing the new comer. Then he looks over at Nendo seeing how nervous he was and would smile some, walking over and tapping his shoulder "hey need an opponent?" he asks him with a smile being friendly, figuring he should take an initiative like Griffin.

Ava narrowed her eyes, pointing toward Griffin. Cold, frozen ice shards appeared around her. "Him." She spoke, shooting the sharp ice shards toward Griffin. Ava folded her arms, watching Griffin for any attacks.

"Do you always talk to inanimate items?" Griffin asked casually. He wasn't impressed by the ice shard. He knew they would hurt if they hit but he didn't have any intention of allowing them to hit. He waited until the ice shards were within inches of him before he stepped into the shadows.

She shrugged at his sarcasm. She started clapping. "Yes, nice job, so much win." She spoke, sarcastically. Ava was on the west side, facing east. "It's not good to hide in the shadows, my dear boy." Ava spoke, opening her arms out and building a wall of ice behind her. "It's time for you to shine." Ava responded, a harsh tone in her voice. The sun would soon hit her wall of ice just right, and hit Griffin, and limit his ability to hide in the shadows.

Griffin snorted. He thought the girl was trying to be sarcastic. He wasn't impressed by the girl. So far she was all talk and no action. He waited for her reaction to his disappearing act. He nodded when she created a wall of ice. He had expected something like that. It was evening so the sun wasn't as strong as it had been earlier. "Not bad. But your ice will melt eventually. Can you hold the wall and throw things at me?" He asked as the shadows faded around him.

Ava gritted her teeth. Seeing as the Shadow faded, she yelled. "Let's see you attack, idiot!" She raged, her eyes lighting up as she pointed at him. Sharp icicles surrounded her. "You think your clever, don't you? Think you're smart and strong, don't you? Attack me, already! Don't hide! You think you can hide during a real tournament, but you'd be dead!" She stormed, stomping her foot, creating ice on the ground. Sooner or lately it would reach Griffin, hopefully disabling him.

Ava was pissed now. She usually was a calm girl, staying to herself and being pissed. But Griffin pissed her off. From what Ava saw, Griffin could shadow walk. Did he have any actual power? Ava didn't think so. Then again, it was just the first few moves, and this guy still needed to attack. All he was doing was hidding. To Ava, hidding was pointless.

Griffin was trying to frustrated Ava and from the look of her he was succeeding. As long as she was frustrated she wouldn't be thinking clearly. He was well aware that his power wasn't ideal for attacking. But that didn't mean that he couldn't fight. He created several throwing axes. They wouldn't do alot of damage but Ava had no way of knowing that. He threw a doze axes towards her as he moved closer.

Ava watched the axes, and when they were an inch from her, she stepped forward and let then attack her. She stayed there in silence, not talking. She shoved her hands into her pockets. "Nice try." Ava told him through her scarf. She pulled up her sleeves to see scratches. She didn't scream in pain or anything. She shrugged it off. Granted, it was a dozen axes and she'd need some bandages, but she didn't feel a ton of pain and continued on. "Since that didn't work, I'll let you go again."

"Did you think that was my attack?"Griffin asked her. It had been but there was no way for her to know that. He continued towards her ignoring the cold. It was uncomfortable but that was the least of his worries. He had to frustrate her so that she screwed up. The sun was going down but there was still enough sun coming through her melting ice wall that he couldn't make strong shadow weapons.

Ava raged. She clenched her fists, watching him. "Shut up! You're weak!" She raged, spreading her arms out and rebuilding her ice wall. "I still have a little bit of the sunlight left, so don't think you've won just yet, all you left was small scratches." Ava growled, rolling up her sleeves to reveal multiple small cuts. She glared back at him. "But they're weak." She told him, leaving her sleeves up. She stomped the floor again, making the room colder.

"Ah, uh, yeah, alright, that would be appreciated!" Nendo said with a nervous smile. "I'm Nendo, by the way." he says as he makes his way to the magic tournament area. Nendo lets out a relaxed sigh, as he takes off his backpack, and tosses it into a corner. "Well, ready when you are." Nendo says, as he gets into a molding magic position.

He would nod and follow Nendo to a fighting spot "I'm Charles, Charles lockwell" he states and when he sees Nendo get into a fighting position "..you shouldn't be so obivious with your fighting style" he states to Nendo "that stance makes it very obivious at your possible abilities" he states and starts a chant before a majestic Griffon would appear out of thin air beside him and screech at Nendo.

Griffin shrugged uncaring. He knew his attack wasn't that impressive. But most people flinched when a dozen axes flew at them. He wondered why she hadnt? While she had been able to see that they were made of shadows she wouldn't have had any idea what kind of damage they would do. "The sun going down means the shadows are getting deeper and I am getting stranger." which as true just not for long his attack was going to have to could. He summoned two shadow wolves.

She folded her arms. She was calming down now, but was still really pisssed. "Funny I always sun going down meant no shadows." She told him. She looked at him, before moving her arm in a horizontal line. She was trying to a build a box around Griffin. The sun going down also meant it'd take longer for her ice to melt.

"It isn't dark yet." Griffin pointed out grimly. He didnt have much time left though. He wasn't powerless in the dark but he was weakened. But he had a plan. One that hopefully would put the ice princess in her place. He ignored the ice forming around him. He didnt need to move in order to complete his next attack. He just needed to keep her focus on him."Are you so afraid of me that you have to trap me in ice?"

Ava raised a brow at his mark. "I just feel better have you... trapped in the cold." Avatold him. Waiting for him to take a move. She stepped forward. Her ice wall was leaking, but it didn't matter alot anymore. The sunlight would have her new ice trap melt more.

Griffin shrugged. He was completely surrounded by ice. There was enough space that he could move. He could probably break the ice. But it would take time an energy. He didnt think that it was worth the effort. He didnt need to be free to do what he wanted to do. "You do realize that trapping me won't keep me from attacking right? The axes were just a test. My next attack will do real damage."

Ava watched him. "I know it would keep you surrounded, but it helps me." Ava claimed, watching him. "Eventually you will get cold. Too cold." Ava stated, raising a brow. She pointed at him again, making ice shards pop up from the ground. "Are you agile? I want to run some tests of my own."

"Don't worry about my stance, knowing someone's style of magic is an advantage, but it can be easily overcome, here's an example," Nendo said, a big smile on his face, he was starting to feel at ease now, perhaps he could finally relax, and focus, instead of panicking. regardless, a brown magic circle appeared behind him, as he struck his hands forward. "Clay make: Clay Knights!" Several knights, made of clay, appear in front of Nendo, holding various weapons, also made of clay, the knights were about seven feet each, and their weapons were large as well.

"It is should you opponent act before you can" he states "with this many I won't be able to use my normal casting.. so guess it's time for shikigami" he states climbing onto the griffen and pulling out prices of paper with words on them and in shapes of a person, he would take off into the air "come forth my shikigami!" He shouts throwing two of the papers and they become two big knights in armor with big swords and shields. "How can you clay deal with my metal" he says chuckling.
