Group/Partner Finding Thread

Have you ever wanted to find a like-minded RPer or group of like-minded RPers? Did you have more of a specific desire than an actual plot in mind? Have you found yourself constantly playing with the same people and looking for new friends? If you answered yes to any of these questions then like me, hopefully a thread like this could help you.

While this is a rough idea and will likely undergo several edits to get to a completed state the idea for this thread is that you can post basically an ad/resume for yourself stating what type of genres, plots and players you're looking to group up with.

Basically I'm hoping this idea will allow people to streamline the searching progress for RPs if an interest check isn't working out for them or if they're looking to collaborate with other players to create a story line.

WILLING TO GM?:
Not really? I'm not so good at it but I'm always up for helping build it and possibly Co-GM'ing I feel I struggle when in control of things all by my lonesome.

ROLEPLAY INVITATIONS:
I tend to avoid large group RP's as it just expands waht can go wrong. I really really enjoy tight-nit small group RP's and I haven' really done much 1x1 but I would definately be up for it if the right ideas came my way (no romance pls)

WRITING LEVEL:
I drift between Casual and advanced so...high casual/low advanced is perfect. I try to write really high quality stuff but I get bored with writing (and reading) pages of stuff.

IDEAL PARTNERS:
Umm, kind people that aren't all in your face hyper (I'll tolerate that though) and someone whom has real drive definitely, to keep the RP going and to keep it interesting! Someone whom will throw me curveballs but knows how to keep the theme.

POSTING SPEED:
I would probably have no problem posting daily, even multiple times a day.

PLAYING STYLE:
I guess I'm passive? I like the situation to be laid out before me so I can dictate my characters actions. I guess this stems from not wanting to GM. I do however like the plot to actually move, to start an RP and immediately go off on a side-plot can lose the aim.

DESIRED GENRE(S):
Fantasy primarily, I love low fantasy olde Worlde Medieval RP's as I feel comfortable writing in that setting. Modern Day fantasy is cool too I've always liked the idea of a mage-ish gang warfare in London/New york etc. I'll happily go Sci-fi too, love Warhammer 40k. I don't really fandom bar the aforementioned 40k and mayyybe Bleach if I think it can work. I hate RP's set in Schools/colleges/academies.

PLOT CANDIES:
Linear. A plot that everyone is part of, everyone is tied to that has a beginning a middle and an end. Sandbox RP's don't work in my eyes as everyone goes off on their own and does their own thing and it gets boring :(

Quite simply yes, GMing is usually a preference of mine but I have no problem with my partners taking the lead for character driven arcs or even simply rotating the lead role arc by arc. I like to GM and take care of the mechanics of the game but sometimes I just don't have a story to tell so it's nice to have other players who are willing to step up and help out.

Has to be at least two other people for me to consider RPing, preferably three others. I've never been able to commit to a 1x1, for whatever reason I find them dull unless I have a very compelling partner. For this reason I'm looking exclusively for small to large groups.

ᗯᖇITIᑎG ᒪᕮᐯᕮᒪ:

While I am quite flexible in my writing level, I don't write at a level any lower than casual. I can't write a post that doesn't contain more than one paragraph. Most often I write in advanced and high casual RPs but I don't mind if the RP is flexible enough to allow for the occasional short post.

Iᗪᕮᗩᒪ ᑭᗩᖇTᑎᕮᖇᔕ:

As I mentioned above, ideally I'd like to find other aggressive players. Players who don't mind to step up to bat and help out with the GMing aspect of the story line. I like to be invested in my characters and I don't want to be rushing from action to action all the time. Instead I'd like players who don't mind a little slice of life or romance (so long as its not forced) to flesh out our characters and make them three dimensional.

Due to my many commitments both on RPG and outside of it, I can't really promise that I can post more than once a week. That said depending on how invested I get in both a character or RP, I make time to post more often.

As I am used to GMing, I am an aggressive player often pushing for plot and advancement. That's not to say I don't enjoy a slower pace, I definitely do but I tend to know when to nip things in the bud and get the story moving again.

My ideal genre is superhuman, it's the one I enjoy the most especially if it features science fiction and fantasy elements.

My favourite plot candy is a 'Year One' superhero, whether it be one or more characters who start off their careers and eventually come together against a common foe. I've had one RP running for years based on the concept and those involved are my best friends on the Guild. Would love to replicate the experience again.

Currently building an RP at the moment that I'm hoping to have ready sometime in May. Just wanted to put this up to see if I can find any interested players who would be looking for a similar RP as I am.
