XP Though it'll be tricky since Shuichi isn't the guy to be too open about his PDA and want things kept private but Botan is the kind of chick who would give zero fucks about whoever is watching them cause she's just happy to have her guy so close to her (after all this time) I do think they'll probably need to hold hands every once in a while though.

I think Kurama will do what he has to do to keep the investigation as stress-free as possible. Botan's move, while bold, did what he was too hesitant to do. He was unaware of Botan's willingness to commit to this plan in the first place. Heck, just yesterday he actually found out what sort of man she was interested in. He didn't know enough to take a kiss from her, but Botan on the other hand was all too willing to help him out (and herself ;3). Kurama is definitely a hand-holder, it's just anything above that, say kissing or... much more intimate forms of "I want you right now." that someone like Yusuke would be way more likely to perform. I'm thinking Genkai can teach him a thing or two ;3

Your post was cool as fuck dude. Nice touch on the music! I can get started shortly, but I need to know the stopping point. Are we finishing the rest of the day and stopping in gym for anything, like Kurama hearing the comments his fellows make about Botan in those shorts and such? I don't know much about Japan's way of gym instruction but in anime boys and girls are mostly separated sooooo I might just zoom past it and not think about it much. Point is, Botan's hot, guys are saying some crazy shit and they're either not respecting that Kurama is her boyfriend or word hasn't gotten to them yet.

If not stopping there, we can get to the greenhouse. Is any information Botan provided going to be relevant after school?

I think hand holding maybe occasional kisses on the cheek would be doable for them, as long as they don't become complacent or anything like that. I think we can do a confession scene or two eventually but I don't see things at school being resolved too quickly since there is a tone of uneasiness and trepidation we could take advantaged of.

In terms of skipping, we may as well just go to after school, assuming there is a garden club already established. I assumed there already is but seldom probably know Kurama's president or something since he's absent from time to time. I think the information Botan is gonna provide is going to be bare bones since we don't want things coming together prematurely. I think the findings would be able to confirm that there is a strong demonic residue of energy but being able to pin point its origin will take more tests and time.

After school it is, then, since I take it the rest of the day is majorly uneventful. Would you want me to jump to a certain point after school, like the final bell ringing, or making it back home to finish some of their work while Kurama tries to tutor Botan on the hard stuff?

There is probably some kind of 'cooling off' period between each suicide. I'd say at least a week or two.

But between then, we can have Botan and Kuram busy themselves with other concerns.

The rest of the day would be uneventful, people have calmed the fuck down by now. I'd say the final bell with them walking home and talking, them cleaning up the greenhouse and talking, or them arriving home, all work for me. They'd probably just talk about the minimal immediate findings, their ruse, other minor demon activity in the neighborhood, etc.

Very sorry for the delay. It didn't come out as well as I wanted, but what I wanted wasn't realistic. You can only talk about a kiss so much before it's redundant and worthy of nothing more than a roll of the eyes. That and I always hate my work, so nothing new there.

I wanted Kurama to think about Botan more than the investigation this time. It's high time he got to know her better. She already has a file on his time as Yoko, after all. The advantage is all hers right now. I also want them to run into Shiori just as she returned home from the store, so she can see that they're holding hands. Let's give Shiori that xD

The delay is fine. I've gotten Star Ocean 5 as a gift from my brother so I've been quite content but your post was well worth the wait. It made me quite giddy and happy, plus for someone to take an interest in Botan...well, she'll be rather tickled as well. :3

As always you're too kind. The interest in Botan was a spur of the moment inclusion. If he is to eventually fall for her, it has to be for her, not just those soft lips of hers. I think my dialogue at the later part of the post could have been better. By what's true in her heart, he means if the lover explanation was true to her, or just her own interpretation of a school girl's ideal man. That also goes for her idea of a first date. The answer seems obvious to us, but for Kurama it just shows that he has a lot of respect for Botan, both as a reaper and a friend, but he didn't know her enough to be sure of anything she told Shiori and the classmates. It's an eye opener for him. And I do hope that Botan finds it nice to be the center of someone's interest for once ;3

I do look forward to Shiori's shipping moments as we progress. The evening before dinner sounds good. Have them finish up some schoolwork together featuring tutor Kurama, and Botan can take the time to bring up (she forgot because Kurama had asked about her maybe?) that Koenma did mention some very minor demon activity in the area. They have time to investigate the location before dinner, and it could be this encounter that has Botan consider learning more about fighting, since she may have seen herself as a liability both at that moment and earlier at the school? Or she can sleep on it.

Your post was very cute, I'm already working on a reply in another tab. And very true, it seemed genuine to me, his inquiry I mean. Which is what we are going for, a gradual getting to know you phase to a genuine connection turning into something intimate. This is different from our other pairs since these two don't know each other nearly as well as say those in Naruto/LoK, which I think is a refreshing change. Botan and Kurama are acquaintances despite having both endured a lot together. They'll get to know one another and develop a sweet loving bond. <3 <3 <3

Yep, all of that is what I had in mind. Botan would get flustered with all the learning cause it's cruel she has to participate in getting good grades but if she's ranked at the bottom of the class (some schools do publicly list students' rankings in class and tests and I assume this one does as well) she'll have a target on her back as being Shuichi's stupid gf. So she wants to do well for him too. She and Kurama pretend to go out for a walk and go deal with a really minor demon, since Kurama is well...Kurama, he could try to let her have a go first, prompting her to need to his help at the end and her wanting to learn more self defense. I will grant her some skills but they'd be unpolished.

Awww, Botan is the bae, and despite Kurama suggesting that he knows she's intelligent and school's all memorization, she'd still wants to be smarter for him <3 as for the demon, yes, Kurama could dispatch it with one strike but Botan could take the time to learn how to defend herself properly, with or without her signature bat. After a struggle, he does eventually finish it for her. And then they spend the next afternoon in the greenhouse to help her discover where her skills would lie in a fight? Kurama gives her a questionnaire of sorts XD I think they'd be more alike in combat than she thinks.

Botan knows she's smart but school smarts is another matter entirely. She probably can't recall the last time she was inside a classroom. Plus we do get the matter of uncovering Botan's past along with who she was before she died so long ago. I do have a few sad plots in mind for her backstory...But yeah, she'll find a bat or use her oar. And then she can get Spirit World to modify a bat for her while she and Kurama study in the greenhouse together to sort things out. I think it would be so cute if there a dying plant and she made it well again. XD

Don't break my heart dude :C Be gentle to my emotions! And aww shit modifying the signature bat. Botan could totally join the women's softball team if she had time! But alas, she must ferry souls, defeat demons, and love her legendary bandit with cuddles. I'm feeling the dying plant saving idea. If Botan can mold personal spirit energy together like the others, she could totally attempt to revitalize it with her own strength. The reason Kurama didn't is because he was maintaining it as a human, rather than cheating, but it's okay for Botan, good practice!

I already have a picture in my head of Kurama pouting over some dying flowers (or roses~) since he's been gone for so long and no one bothers to maintain the greenhouse. Then Botan comes up and studies them, finds it a bit saddening that living things have to suffer just to put a boot up Toguro's ass so she channels some spirit energy into her fingertips and the flower starts to come back to life, thus prompting them to dive into her own spiritual assets. And yes, she'll have her badass baseball bat and during gym, she'll show off her softball/baseball skills and make all the girls super jelly.
