He'd be a great doctor. I feel like because of his mother's weak immune system, he probably studied on his own in regards to medicine. Botan would then have a new excuse to dress up as a nurse come one Halloween. Plus I do think it would be more fulfilling for him than being a dull guy with a day job. I thunk Yoko would enjoy any blood and Kurama would enjoy helping people. Win win?

I could see Yoko bringing it up, surely. Though it would need to be brought up in a romantic way, as you said. By that point, she's gained his trust clearly so she's going to be a bit flattered he'd do that for her and that it wasn't just Shuichi who cared but also Yoko.

Totally. But would Yoko have any tact in doing so? He'd rarely appear in his full form, but when he tells Botan he's going to tell her in such a way that she knows she can't refuse him. Yoko will have his ways. I think, all sexiness aside, Botan would feel as vulnerable as she would safe in his presence. So when he says he'll kill someone that brings her to tears, she knows it, and she could feel it, too. Ah, LOVE~

Yoko does have a commanding presence and I doubt Botan would ever fully get used to it. But she'd feel safe around him and trust that he would do anything for her and that she in turn would do anything she could for him, though the need would be unlikely. But I wouldn't mind having him somehow captured or have someone take a bounty on his head and have Botan sort of help somehow. After all, she wants to aid both sides of Kurama as she's grown to love them both. In another life, they'd be on the run together lol

Botan and Yoko would be lovers in hiding but Botan would be a double agent in Spirit World, helping people stay off her and Yoko's trail. XD Though as a heads up, I'll be logging off in about 15, we need our rest. But I am glad we've got posts to work with. I'm hoping I can get to GoT sometime this weekend...But I will have the house to myself coming up soon so hey, I'll have all the privacy in the world. We gotta plan good and bad things for YYH but I think Kurama and Botan will be a hot couple and Shiori can be their biggest fan.

Right now I'm thinking that after the demon, it's okay for them to jump to the next day in the greenhouse so Botan can learn of her gift and also have Kurama use that time to tell her more about combat. We can wait until Friday for the lackey to start eyeing a new target, which could actually be Botan, who Kurama ends up saving like we said?

I think skipping after the demon is dealt with, works for me. I also think by the weekend, she'd have placed an order for her baseball bat and she should get it on Monday for school. I did mention Shiori wanted to take the kids shopping over the weekend. We can do a bit of that or skip over it. And we'll have to pick a student for the lackey to be disguised as, who I suspect we'd have start getting close to Botan as he influences? I'd say the gradual change would need to take time before she'd finally try to kill herself but the influence can surely start on Monday, maybe take till Friday to push her? We could deal with her mood changes and such?

We're giving it an entire week before he moves again? Alright. I'm a little tired right now (as it's midnight) so forgive me if I'm not brimming with genius at the moment. We need an identity of a student the lackey is possessing, but it can't be someone who stands out too much and keeps to themselves like Kurama. I think because Botan is stronger in spiritual energy than the average human it may take a great deal longer for the suicide thoughts to fully emerge, but Kurama and Shiori do start to see her attitude change as Friday approaches. Maybe she's more aggressive or uncharacteristically quieter? Kurama would see the signs though, so there has to be a reason he wouldn't break her out of it earlier than when she's about to kill herself.

We don't need to plot now, you should probably get some rest. Plotting when tired (or upset for me) usually is something I regret and make a mess of. I'd say I can come up with 1-2 possible images for the student's human form. For all we know, he could target her already during the current week since he might sense she's a threat and want to eliminate her quickly. Then by the following Friday, she's finally at the point of killing herself. Then Kurama can sweep in and stop her, but still prompting the danger around them, as it's clearly not over.

It's not so much regret I'm worried about since I trust you to know a good idea from a bad one. It's that I don't want you to feel like you're doing all the work because I'm so sleepy. Botan being popular in her first day does make her a huge target, but I must ask: would neither Goshikuro or the lackey be aware that she's actually a reaper? Goshikuro is strong but he's not the type to acquire intel unless absolutely necessary, so maybe he doesn't know of who she really is, just that apparently she's Kurama's girlfriend, which means she's something he can use to hurt him. I don't think Botan would be seen as a threat as much as something used to cause Yoko pain.

Yes to saving her from herself and snapping her out of her trance, but we must figure out a reason for Kurama not to see it sooner. No one saw the other two students killing themselves coming. Kurama wouldn't expect Botan of all people to be the next target. Without detection equipment, equipment Botan owns, he wouldn't be able to pick up on any residual influence. Maybe in his normal form it's not possible to sniff out the corruption of Botan's energy, but in his Yoko form he could? Should he transform momentarily just as he begins to realize that Botan isn't herself JUST before she's in a position to take her own life?

I would say Goshikuro might be a bit paranoid and want to target her if he can sense her spirit energy. But I can also see him being super arrogant and getting cocky with how he's been able to hurt Yoko thus far, taunting him in a way. So in that case, it could be the lackey who targets her to be safe. So I can see either one of them wanting to tag Botan. But again it could be because she's clearly important to him or that she seems to have some kind of spiritual energy and is seen as a threat sent from say, Spirit World.

I'd say the detection would happen in his human form solely. I don't know if Yoko is too interested in the matters going on but he could be intrigued by them, if anything. I would say it's possible the lackey could be distracting Kurama while Botan is off trying to kill herself and maybe someone mentions having seen her with a knife or something. Maybe Kurama just adds up the fact she's been quiet/a little snappy/distant/etc and is suddenly gone? Or maybe Yoko tries to seek her out and locates her and mentions to Kurama internally that she's been corrupted? Kurama then rushes off to her aid?

Why not a mix of all three: Goshi's arrogance, Botan's energy and closeness to Yoko, and suspicion that she may be someone from Spirit World given how quickly she entered the school after these suicides occurred along with her distinct spiritual energy?

It's just using the Yoko portion to heighten his abilities, since while in the Shuichi base form he's pretty gimped in all things. The lackey could be distracting Kurama, and then tip Kurama off either intentionally or not that Botan is in danger? Botan being snappy and unpleasant is a warning sign since that's clearly not her, but given the stress of the case he may not figure it's much more than concern that they're not making any immediate progress? Could Yoko ever separate from Shuichi and actually warn him of things happening elsewhere?

I don't think they can properly separate from one another. It was shown in the DT that Yoko could take over Shuichi in form but that they couldn't exist outside of the other. And at the end of the series, it was sort of explained how Yoko was content with living within Shuichi and that the arrangement suited them both. So I think it's either one or the other, not both, since I think they both use the same life energy.

Yes. We could make it so that it was the lackey's call to do it, without instruction, so if he fucks up it's entirely on him. And as punishment, I'm sure Goshikuro has enough power to destroy him, or severely torture him even now. It also gives him away too much and Kurama/Yoko figures out who it is, even if they can't believe him to be alive.

I see. So we need to decide on how Kurama figures it out AND saves her. Are we both in favor of the lackey being an idiot and basically gloating to Kurama about how powerless he is, which leads to him revealing that Botan is in danger? Suddenly the mood changes and mannerisms make complete sense. Botan was being influenced and Kurama, in his own arrogance, didn't believe that Botan could be swayed by someone skilled enough to have avoided detection from Kurama thus far. So he saves Botan just in time, confronts that same student later only to find out that he's normal again, and that the lackey had either left his possessed form or jumped to another student to keep them on their toes?

Either way Botan's going to be flustered with how many apologies she'll have to make to Shiori, because that's the future mother-in-law and you don't want to offend her :3
