Sixteen going on thirty, he can seem so much older than he is one moment and the next almost seem like any other kid his age. Most of the time he projects an older demeanor around strangers, only letting his guard down around those he trusts.
He has a temper, especially when he doesn’t think anyone is taking him seriously or when people act like he is just some dumb kid. He can be smart mouthed, cranky and broody. At the same time he can be goofy, fun and easily distracted. To those that know him he can seem like he wears his heart on his sleeve, to those that don’t he can be wary and suspicious. He isn’t afraid to lash out at those trying to grind him down, but loyal and endearing to those who win him to their side.
His IQ is 170, this hyper intelligence puts him at odds with those more typically unable to think as fast or in as much detail as him. He’s frank and honest, which can irritate people and he doesn’t bother to try softening his words. He refuses to tell people what they want to hear and doesn’t give two cents if people don’t like it.
Having an eidetic memory serves him well when it comes to collecting and copying down information. It also helps immensely when it comes to his job as a bike messenger.
He used to get a lot of grief, taunts and the like, about his name and his eyes. However this eventually stopped, but he gets really irritated even angry if it crops up. He usually retaliates with words, but isn't shy about punching someone in the face if it keeps up.
He doesn’t sleep well most times because of the nightmares from his parents violent deaths. He’s also somewhat paranoid and his need to explore and secure his living space borders on obsessive.

Much like his father he likes to collect and read books. He’ll pretty much read whatever comes to hand, just to feed his mind and keep from getting bored.
Just to tweak his teacher’s nose he likes to steal things from her, taking it as a challenge to lift things from around her or off her person just for the love of the challenge.
If he is really bored he’ll find a way to annoy, either by mundane means or by Other, but usually gives up before the point of true temper.
Tends to pick up or get distracted by shiny things, from a person’s jewelry or even for a brief moment some flotsam rubbish on the street, finds lost money often as a result.
Likes to do tricks with his talents, like playing with coins by making them stand up on his palm.
Plays an old beat up guitar.

Born to a somewhat normal family, his father was a collector and seller of rare books, but also the owner of a small bookstore named Crossroads. The store dealt with all kinds of books, used, new and even the occult. His mother was a computer scientist for a major software company named Altari. While he wasn’t a ‘rich kid’ he wasn’t poor either for neither of his parents just randomly threw away their money for frivolous things.
He went to a private school due to his high intelligence finishing middle and high school early on. He had good friends, led basically a normal life for the first eleven years. It was his eleventh birthday and they were celebrating at the store when someone came in under the guise of being a patron.
His father went to turn the man away for the store was closed, but the man insisted on wanting to purchase some book. To get rid of him faster his father went to fetch the leather bound tome, but just as soon as it was in hand, things went freaky. One moment a man, the next something else, attacking his father and brutally killing him. His mother and him tried to run, but she too was the next to die.
He managed to survive, suffering a set of slash wounds on his back that later turned into long scars across it. He was put under state services, bouncing around from home to home for almost a year and a half due to how he was and his constant running off, till he got fed up and stayed away.
He learned fast, developing skills he needed to survive the many dangers, but also the added problems of creatures non-human. He learned to make allies as best he could, even learning a goodly bit of Spanish because of the gangs around. He did have a decent enough inheritance, but he didn’t try to touch it. Instead he lived on the streets, turning thirteen amid the alleys and dark spaces any street kid calls home.
Later on he meets a woman that takes him in and trains him to help her kill the very beings that stalk the night. He winds up face to face with the creature who killed his family and gets his long waited for revenge at fifteen. He stayed on with her after that because he had no better plans, plus he simply liked being her 'apprentice'. Out on a job a year after that he gets sucked into a portal that leads to another reality. Good thing he isn't some floundering innocent, his goal is to survive till he finds his way home again.

How did they gain their powers, where did they originate and end up where they are now?:
Fenris was born with psy talents that later on manifested at a point when his life was in danger. Later on due to magics gone awry, he ended up dumped into a neighboring reality that had its own set of rules and changed him accordingly. This change resulted in another talent awakening, shape shifting. Need/instinct causes him to change forms, but later on he'll learn to simply will himself to the form rather than it being random.
What experiences do they have and events in life turned them into the people they are today?:
The loss of his parents due to a creature of his world sent him on a path for retribution. Later, after having achieved it, he turned to trying his best to keep those same monsters from doing it to others. He has a strong sense of right and wrong, even if he can/will ignore it. He still misses his family bitterly.
Hero Type: Hybrid (Psychic/Shifter)
Power Level: B - City Level
Powers:
Eidetic Memory:
Shapeshifting:
He has one primary form that he can shift to without needing a piece (or totem) of the animal. He doesn't know if he can do this because of magic or just natural ability, but changing form is a fluid almost unnoticeable thing to him. Constant shifting from form to form tires him out and he has to eat a lot after to build back the energy he lost.
Resources: Minimal to Average.

This is a natural gift he'd had since he was a child. He can remember anything he'd seen that was written, typed and drawn. So anything from a short series of numbers to blueprints. He also remembers how things are placed in a room, which comes in handy every so often.

He landed on the asphalt with a thud, the breath driven from his lungs. He only had enough energy at present to roll over and cough, everything else went to pulling air back into his lungs past the pain of filling them up again. He felt like he’d been thrown through a blender before he was unceremoniously forced to kiss the hard gritty blacktop. His golden eyes opened and he stared up at the sky, the pain slowly ebbing. Where in the known hells did I end up? Gods, Tammy is gunna be pissed if I can’t get back to her quickly.
He climbed to his feet wheezing a little. His body complained at him, he’d probably have a collection of bruises come morning. He pulled out his phone, silently giving thanks that the new device hadn’t got crushed. One of the many perks since she became his guardian was a new phone. He pressed one of the apps, a location finder, but it didn't work.
“Oh blessed fuck, she’s gunna kill me!." He searched for her number and called, but was promptly told that the number was currently out of service. “Bull, I just bloody called her this morning! How can my phone not work?” He grit his teeth shoving the device back in his pocket. “Guess till I figure this out I’m kinda fucked… Okay smart one lets go find a place to stay.”
He heard tires squealing and he saw a car barreling towards him. Instinct took over and he flung himself out of the way hitting the wall as the vehicle sped past. For the second time that day he was tasting dirt, but this time he felt even stranger. He hadn’t realized how nasty the alley had smelled till right then. He went to wipe his nose, but found his arm wasn’t working right. He tried to stand, but floundered on the ground instead. He cured, or tried to, the only sound he’d uttered was a snarl. This made him pause, he looked down at himself and saw out from his sleeves peeked big paws.
Oh...no, no! His whole body started shaking with anxiety as his mind worked to process this bizarre situation. He fought to keep down the stupid ‘this is impossible’ thought, because it wasn’t. Suddenly he was a dog. How he got to be this way, he had no idea. He figured it had to do with the magics that had flung him all the way to Maine. Maybe it had given him this strange new ability or maybe he’d be cursed into the form of a dog. He struggled out of his clothes as best he could and then worked to get used to his present form. Survival wouldn’t be too bad now, he immediately thought of the benefits to being a dog.
So all he had to do was find a place to stash his things so that Tammy could use them to find where he landed. Until he could come back as a human to get them. He wouldn’t think about being cursed, he didn’t think he was as there was no one save a car that could have. Granted, maybe the person in the car did it, but again he dismissed that. Odds were good the magics that put him where he was currently mucked with him somehow. Which meant it was either gunna wear off or he’d have to learn to poof back. He had control of it till he found otherwise. He stood on four paws and decided to investigate himself as best he could. He looked over his shoulder and found he had a long brushy tail.
His coat was black, he couldn’t see his eyes, but assumed he had the same eye color since his coat was the same as his hair when he was human. He bent his head and rubbed at his head, long ears that didn’t droop. He was a big dog, his paws said so. He licked his nose, but that only made the alley stink worse. He grimaced baring his teeth. He nosed everything into a bundle and picked it up in his mouth and then moved gingerly, getting a feel for how this new body worked. Once he found a comfortable rhythm he relaxed.
He made it out of the alley and looked around for a signpost. He padded up to it and looked up at it catching the name in memory before heading off. He’d have to bury his things, unless he could find a better option. He eventually found an empty lot and set his stuff down next to one of the trees in it. He remembered all the signs and paths he took, mainly the sign names, so he was pretty confident he’d be able to come back. He set to digging a hole. Once that was done he set his things in it and covered it, then sat back panting.
His belly snarled at him. Food. He wasn’t all that sure he could put all his faith in his nose, though he smelled a ton of different things. It was just that he didn’t really know how to sniff at just one scent. He wasn’t worried about food, he could beg, looking like a dog or not. He licked his nose clearing the dirt, then gave himself a brisk shake. His jaws opened into a goofy dog grin as he smiled, he’d always wanted to know what a dog saw and smelled and now he knew. Lots. Ohh, if this is permanent I’m gunna have lots of fun. There is all sorts of mischief I can get up to this way. You better watch out Tammy... The thought cheered him up further. He loved to drive his ‘master’ nuts when bored. I’m a dog, she’s my Master, oh...gods, when she sees this and I point that out… Her face is gunna be priceless.
It didn’t solve his hunger though. He padded off sniffing the air, but nothing smelled familiar. That was the problem being a dog, everything smelled and the things he smelled smelled odd because his nose was keener. It meant that ‘pizza’ wouldn’t smell the way he was used to smelling it. He had no experience with this sort of thing. His eye sight seemed to be much the same, colors were odd, but not terribly so. It was his ears and nose that had the biggest change. Hearing brought back the fact that he heard, like he smelled, everything.
He winced as a car careened by on the street, the tired grinding against the hard surface, the whine of the wind, the stink that came from it. He’d hated the noise before, but he felt stupid now, he’d truly known nothing at all.
