As Lucian took point to use Observe on everything he would gain a few levels in the Skill, which as he gained more Levels in Observe he found that he could see more data on people. When he used Observe on Ren it was Level 4, allowing him to see a little more data on the boy in a window that appeared before him. It didn't seem to give anything secretive yet, as that would probably take higher levels of the Skill, but nonetheless
Name: Ren Hitori
Gender: Male
Lv: 10
Class: The Gamer
HP: 64/64
MP: 115/115
Ren Hitori is a Gamer and with the Gamer power one can literally go in any direction they wish if they possess the means to do so. Right now though Ren seems to be focusing on skills that allow for the concentration and manipulation of Mana that mainly revolve around Int and the Focus Talent that rely on the Skill known as Mana Focus, but he also does seem to be quite good with a knife, a somewhat high Dex score giving him some good agility.
"We mainly want to know about other power users and whether or not they are dangerous. And we only give what is necessary". Ren's plan was simple, see what info they could get and get out in case things got ugly. Sure this 'Saito's' class was only Artificer, but in this world that could be more than just a magic item enchanter, especially if this Saito was Level 15. That was five levels higher than Ren and nearly three times Lucian's level. Naturally they would have to be extra careful when entering this shop and when speaking to Saito. So of course with little else to lose Ren walked in, expecting (and not caring if it didn't happen) Lucian to follow.
As both Ren and Lucian entered they were greeted by a
boy in a white hoodie with two strange cloth pieces hanging down from it. The boy was about to turn, but suddenly a ring on his finger he wore shined a small bit, as unbeknownst to Ren and Lucian, but at the entrance of the store Saito always kept a device that could detect those with power in anyone who entered and it alerted him whenever it did detect someone. He went behind the counter now where the register was, looking at the two Gamers a little warily.
"Look, I don't know who you two work for, but I told everyone else that I don't deal to anyone but the Auction". Saito seemed quite wary of them, despite the fact that the two of them really didn't appear all that intimidating. Still to Ren this was quite the change of pace from before.
"We don't work for anyone" Ren was trying to abate the older boy now, who appeared to be around 19, give or take. "We just want to know more about other Ability Users like you or us as we only recently discovered our own powers..." Ren really didn't know how to be sociable, but figured to give it a shot in this delicate situation.
Ren Negotiation: 89 - 28 = 61
Saito did not look like he was buying it at first, but then grew a little less wary of them. Still wary of them, but looked like he was definitely willing to talk now at least. "You guys don't seem all that tough judging from..." He paused there, shaking his head. "If you only recently discovered your powers then you are probably Natural Ability Users like I am, people who get their powers from Gaia. Essentially we get our powers from God pretty much". He sat back in a chair behind the register, looking at the two of them then at the ring on his finger again.
"I recommend though that you guys ignore your power and go back to your lives. While from the looks of things you have already developed your power past the point where it will go away if ignored, you guys are weak enough to where no one will come after you if you decide to live normally. You guys don't look like your cut out for trekking in the Abyss. This city is pretty much, from behind the shadows thanks to the Interference Law, controlled by four main groups. The Ban family, a clan of martial artists, is not all that dangerous, but I don't know if I can say the same for the other three". The way Saito spoke was like all of what he was saying was common knowledge. Granted it was common knowledge that Ren and Lucian didn't know, but still common knowledge nonetheless.
Ren would give Lucian a chance to speak now, in case he had anything to say as even Ren could tell where his lack of social skills was probably going to screw them up if he kept speaking.
