This thing was supposed to be a challenge...

Although to be fair, its alot harder soloing it as when you solo it you have to also try and constantly stay out of its reach while avoiding either giant boulders or its punches, but with its attention divided between people it actually makes it harder.

Open mouth? Throw a coin in there! hahaaha, I've done it to a friend when I was in highschool, super rude, and more dangerous than I thought at the time, but the reaction, I hope the zombie will give a similar one. Posted Lucian doing that and a mana surge because I don't see coin toss taking the whole time a regular move would.

I was thinking about that actually when I saw your post, performing two Skills in a single turn. It slipped my mine (as it is a thing in table tops, including D&D even with performing multiple attacks in a single turn), and since all you have to do to use a skill is speak (and perhaps aim or focus depending upon the skill)... well if a character is quick enough then they could

I have decided that for every 12 points in Dex, one can perform an additional action (like using another skill, using another item, attacking twice, and etcetera). At a penalty on all rolls involving their next action of course.

However... ill make a roll, see if Lucian is quick enough to do both within the few seconds of a round (given that indeed Coin Flick is a skill that doesn't require as much focus or concentration).

If you get a... really good roll... ill give ya something good. Otherwise, no beans, no cigar (and the second action will be used on your next turn).

Nope, no cigar, sorry Ominal XD

Anyway, now its Mike's post. The beast still has its attention on Lucian.

Actually Mike is right, the voice should have aggroed it... well...

We will say the reason it didn't is because of what Lucian did as Mike was shouting, which was throwing a coin into its mouth, the nasty, metallic taste of it being enough to anger it.

I would be pissed off if someone threw a coin in my mouth to, those things taste nasty (something I remember from when I was younger)

Mike isn't all that fast, he is probably about slightly above average in terms of speed, but he's no track star with just a Dex of 10.

Still, running beneath it could work, gimme a sec.

Well Mike bought Lucian time to get up now, but now someone has to get Mike out of the small crater he is in before the Zombie's next turn (as that was a free strike, if that hadn't been a free strike then Mike would be dead, just saying, it got the worst possible roll on its damage roll with that, and its normal Str is 50, so that attack did 100 damage minus Mike's resilience).

If it had did 17 more damage, which it well could have done even without a max damage roll, then Mike would be dead.

So yea Card, you got super lucky and a level in Physical Endurance (which is saying something as it was at level 6 with 25 EXP, and that Skill takes a while to level, but enduring that gave you a level in it ^^)

I should just point out now while I still remember, that I find the fact the the first person who got the stat ailment resist passive was the person who used to be crippled by illness really ironic.

Also, I find myself satisfied with how that turned out

And the boss fight is over.

Now the RP is stuck until Bio posts (I may skip his turn though if he doesn't post soon).

And it'll be a long while before Ren touches that book.

Crap, forgot to add getting titles.

Yea, titles are not gonna be given out too often, mainly for awesome achievements like slaying Boss Mobs, getting to high ranks in rare talents or max in the common ones, and etcetera.

also you two better be thankful. Had to use an Epic Point for Ren to finish the thing off (got a bloody 93 on the die, 63 on the roll. I still hit, but the damage wasn't high enough. Had to reroll so I would be able to get low enough to get Max damage)

Wow, sounds like we cut it real close

Okay, as for my level up;

VIT + 2

WIS + 3

Senshin no Ken + 2

Focus + 2

First Aid + 1

Observation + 1

Knowledge + 1

Yea, real close. If Ren hadn't finished it off then he would have had to use one of his MP potions... -_-

Wow, just realized that I could have used a potion, spared an Epic Point... wouldn't have gotten the extra EXP for Giga Spiral Bolt for killing a powerful enemy with it... but it would have kept me an Epic Point (and I am not going to self reward Ren epic Points like I will to you guys, he only gets Epic Points when his Luck goes up by 10 just like everyone else)

goddammit...

Well, too late now. Oh well.

I thought for sure I would end up using an epic point to not be punted again or stepped on. I had that sinking feeling of, "Your character is going to DIE!"

Well, we live to game another day. =)
...
Or do we?

And level ups stuff is as follows.
+2 Dex, +1 Luck, +2 Int
+1 Focus, +1 knowledge, +1 Natural Force.

Remember for those who have 15 or higher in any Talent. You can now only increase it once every other level or you get three crits to increase it. At Rank 10-15 it takes two crits to increase it, or you can increase it with one Talent Point.

Also, Ominal, when Lucian reached Rank 5 in the Talent he would feel as though he had the knowledge needed for obtaining a slightly stronger ritual, something above the basics, however to do so he would have to spend time meditating and focusing in a natural area somewhere (or even in that Pseudospace Saito has, but he feels a naturally occurring area like that would work a little better, but finding one in the city would be quite difficult).
