Yes. Talismans are useful regardless of what you do (well, maybe not regardless, but for spiritual powers like Lucians or just magic, Talismans carry a variety of uses and are different wherever you use them).

Like for spiritual powers, think the sutras that Miroku from Inuyasha throws (that depend upon the spiritual powers you have. Lucian would find usefulness with them, but he already has alot to focus on.

For magic, its more like creating symbolic items that contain special magical powers (that are usually one shot affects that vary upon what type of magic you use). Still useful nonetheless.

And remember on your first purchase you get a 25% discount as long as all of your Items in the purchase are of D rank or lower (although none of us can afford anything above E Rank yet, so it all works out XD)

Then, I'll buy the arcane and talisman books. Also, I think I'll purchase armor that's about 80k yen. Something that doesn't hamper speed- cloth or leather armor will do. Any ideas?

I'm assuming 148k yen is the amount Sasha has.

Yep. She has 148,500 Yen

You could probably get a pretty nice Chain Shirt for 80 K Yen. Only hampers speed a very small bit, but it provides a good armor, a bit more than Leather and Cloth do.

ATM Card for the Abyss costs 5,000 Yen, but its highly convient to have (this doesn't factor into the purchase) and prevents the extra 10% charge on all cash purchases.

Quick instant delivery is 5,000 Yen. (also not part of discount)

Total will be 142,500 for purchase, 156,550 if you use cash. Two additional charges will add it all to 166,550 (ATM Card, quick delivery).

So you are a bit short on cash. I will allow you to either A: Sell something to either Saito or Genji, B: Ask your parents for money (Negotiation Roll), or C: Try and hope to fight a Mob Boss.

Hmm... that thing will probably sell for about 150,000 - 175,000 Yen (its a Magic Item so its pretty valuable). So yea, if you sold it you would definitely have enough XD

Until Erica meets the Clan Head, she will be grinding. If possible would it be ok for her to stay at the dojo for the week?

For the first day, I'd like for her to spend her morning practicing with Genji to level up her passive skills (Cestus Mastery, Ginga, and Essential Capoeria Technique). Then she will break for lunch with the Ban members and try to learn about the family as a whole from them.

For the Afternoon phase, I'd like for her to fight with the Kobolds again for the first two actions. She should use her Observe skill on the Kobolds she is planning to fight before she engages. Once done, equip her cestus, and focus on leveling Cestus Mastery and all Capoeria Skills (N'Golo should be used once per battle if possible). For the last action, she should attempt to create a skill called Capoeria Evasion be practicing a variety of flips, body twists, and controlled drops to the ground. If created successfully, the skill is a passive one that increases Erica's ability to parry and dodge, and adds a damage bonus to the next attack. To add the bonus, the attack must be done in the same movement (I.e. She flips to the left to dodge a stab. But instead of a full flip, she shifts her momentum with the flip on her hands to swing both of her legs at the opponent's head.) The damage bonus does not stack with itself. Constant evading also does not stack the damage bonuns.

For the Evening actions, she just eats and reads a manuscript of the Ban Family's Fighting Style for research, then goes to bed.

Is that ok?

Umm, I see no reason why Genji wouldn't let Erica stay, since they are part of the same clan. It would just be basic sparring for practice.

Note that using Observe really only gives XP the first time you use it on something. Using it on one Kobold, then another won't really give you EXP the second time until you level it up through some other means and use it again to learn something a bit new (since every time you level up Observe, you gain the ability to get more information with it). She could use it once on them yea, but after that, it would be pointless.

as for creating that Skill... umm... I don't really know how she would TRY to create a specific skill that has a specific affect. I mean, I feel as if what you are aiming for would just be made accidentally during practice or something. (like she just practices dodging with the movements of Capoeria essentially, and boom, new Skill). I could see that happening rather then "Oh, I am going to try and create a Skill that can do this and this and this and has these specific affects" (im not ragging on ya, I am just saying that having someone trying to knowingly create something in a specific way doesn't make a whole lotta sense when they have no idea how Gaia makes these Skills for them). It can still be possible, but it may not come out in the way you hope depending upon how you roll.

So yea, she would just be trying to practice her dodging and evasion a bit (since not getting hit is very important, much more important than hitting someone in my personal opinion) and boom, she does well enough she manages to create new Skill. That is much more plausible.

As for the evening one... she could probably just get a Skill Book and learn it. I mean, if she wants a book on the Ban Family's basic fighting style, Genji would be more than happy to give it to her. (He would probably be even willing to impart the more secretive techniques once she is much more experienced since she is a member of the clan, of course that would be based upon the clan head's decision)

But yea, those plans work. Just basic grinding. Alright, ill start writing up the results for everything. wanna see if Sasha plans on heading there to though in the afternoon/morning first. I know Silas wasn't going to go to the Ban Dojo tomorrow (or in this case, today)

Ok.

The skill description was more for OOC knowledge. IC, she'd just be dodging and whatnot.

Everything else is up to your interpretation. :3

By the way, you guys don't have to wait for everyone to plan their individual day. If you don't think that you are going to hang with others, feel free to plan either all of your days in a row (after hearing the result of each one) or all of your days at once (cause currently Val and Bio are the only ones who need to give me their plans).

Sweet! For my next day; I'll have Mike use the Skill Scroll he has first before doing anything else. Then he'll go to school, then kendo club. Then he'll grind on Zombies for awhile using his new skill (also while in Zandaka). For his last action of the day, I'll have him go home and try to create a skill that lets him summon a katana made out of solid mana.

IC justification: He's already made a list of skills from video games to try and learn (Meditate was on that list) and the 'Summon Weapons' from Skyrim is on that list

There is a problem with that last thing. Mike has no MP control skills nor any sort of energy bending skills

Not for this purpose. That is a flow skill, but for creating a mass of energy and bending and manipulating its shape it does not count. I mean, unless you plan on doing something like Kuwabara can do, but you'll have to come up with an explanation on how you accomplish this.

But right now, accomplishing this will be next to impossible for Mike unless you can come up with a really good explanation on how Mike would accomplish this with the Skills he currently has. If you can come up with it, ill allow it.

...I got nothing. I'm just going to have him try and learn a mana manipulating skill again, AS HIS LAST ACTION OF THE DAY! I'm not making the same mistake again.

Mike finally sort of succeeded (you would have had to get a -10 to get what you exactly wanted, spoiler alert, since Mike doesn't actually have any explicit Mana abilities). Many of the Skills you get also depend upon your character's build. Mike got a more spirit based version of mana manipulation. While it may not let him make fancily shaped mana projectiles (as Spirit Energy, even though it is technically Mana for the gamers, isn't very malleable and this is a Spirit Energy controlling technique), it should still allow him to do several of the things he wants to (including making a spirit sword kinda like Kuwabara's from Yu Yu Hakusho) and it will provide some nice buffs to his spirit techniques (as Mike's current skillset is more based upon Spirit Energy (even though for the Gamers its all MP).

Mike is using Spirit Energy

Ren is using Mana.

Lucian is using both Spirit Energy and Mana.

Sasha is using Mana and Ki

Erica seems to be using just Spirit Energy for now (and even then she seems to be barely using that, just going for physical techniques, which there is nothing wrong with as there are plenty of people in the Abyss who don't really use any form of Energy, like that Armored hunter from before, he didn't use any form of Energy).

and Silas is using just Ki.

while the Gamer power turns it all into Mana, there are still differences in how the Skills work.
