The forest was coated in the very essence of night, even the moon to weary to show its face that evening. Izzy walked through the quietness with her eyes closed and ears focused on the sound of movement. She needed to feed and had found large animals such as elk and tiger in the deeper parts of the forest just beyond their castle. The heartbeat of something rather excited and large perked her ears up, her eyes closing as her mouth watered, long canines pushing through the surface of her gums as she growled softly and looked eyes with the predator just in front of her. A smile touching her full red lips as she laughed softly. The large white and burnt orange colored cat before her thought that it was the predator and she the pray.
"No, no kitty, kitty," she whispered and started to run toward it only to be intercepted by a strong arm jerking her back. She spun and slapped at the figure behind her, her father catching her arm and speaking with a tone that caused her breath to catch.
"Izabella... Your brother has been taken and the trail goes cold. I cannot go myself because of my position, but I'd trust no other to go but you," he spoke quickly and quietly, the tiger running from the very scent of masculinity rolling off her father. Her eyes widened as another growl left her lips.
"Who took him, father?"
"I'm afraid it was the humans, my child." He pulled her close and locked her in a cold stronghold, an emotionless kiss upon the top of her head before he whispered, 'Go now, Bella. Bring him home."
She waited not a minute more before pulling from him and running the direction the smell human food came from. She never touched human blood because of the implications, but her mind clouded with revenge and anger, promising retribution to whomever thought to take from her family. "He better be perfectly fine..."
