I take it Rika stopped Satoko so that she wouldn't start causing a ruckus in the hospital (thanks to what Oner said to her, which wasn't meant to be an insult or him calling her weak by the way).

Which makes sense to make sure the rowdy one doesn't go disturbing hospital patients XD

Pretty much. Though I'm sure dropping the entire building on Ascots head would be a hit more then disturbing the patients. Just a bit though.

Although an entire building may be a bit too much for anyone. The whole moving an object weighing maybe a few hundred tons or so putting alot of stress on the body kind of thing.

Ascot is the source of her frstraction. Also the more determined she gets the stronger she gets. If the building doesn't move right away she'll keep at it until it dies. Also she's very stubborn.

What are the reasons Ascot frustrates her, besides the various cultural differences?

Quite frankly he acts like he's better then her. Both girls feel like they're being looked down upon.

Just because Rika hasn't seen any humans break Satoko's strings, doesn't mean that they can't.

No human can break her strings. Avoid yes. Break, only if they seriously discourage her, which is really hard.
