Partly the marvelously compressed feeling.
Quite a bit is due to that first intake of breath when you take one off.
Partly because I don't have the largest bust.
And I think, personally, that I look sexy as hell in them.

I suppose there's also the fact that I feel sexy as hell in them.

Corsets are amazingly sexifying. Wore a few in some shows I did back in high school, and I had to wear one in a class I took on historical social dance.

Fun fact: Corsets were worn by women long after men ditched them (yes, men wore them, too) because women were "so ill-formed by God that they cannot stand up straight without them"

Corsets can be cool, just so long as they're not taken to extremes. (They can give you some serious health issues if taken too far. They also start looking kind of scary when they're tied too tightly -- no one should have a 16 inch waist. x.x)

Basically my opinion on them, or with anything else. Moderation is the key. I just find it interesting that what's typically looked at as a symbol of female oppression has actually been adopted by some as a way of empowering themselves - of feeling good, rather than repressed. It's a curious wee thing.

Corsets can look very attractive on women. I believe it depends on the style and person wearing them but in general I think they look a dam sight better than a tracksuit top!!

They are not so bad when not taken to extremes like others have said. Plus they make my bust extra busty. You want a custom one though. It's far more flattering when your bust isn't spilling out of your top, but sitting there nicely on display. Proper fit is important after all. : 3
