DORMS

*Note: Students and teachers sometimes share the same dorms.

Uhm. I wanted to host a Vampire Academy-inspired roleplay, but I need guidance. In other words, I need a co-gamemaster. I've already made a rough output on my idea, and I could send it to you via PM. Thank you :)
Keath woke up in the middle of the night, starving and home-sick. She unzipped one of her bags and took out a few snacks. If only I could bring my home inside my bag like this, then I wouldn't be as lonely as I am now, she thought to herself. But, then again, there isn't much to miss back home. Horacio, whom she had come to call "Uncle Horace" was seldom at home. But whenever he was, he devoted all his time to keeping her company. One time, when Keath was only twelve, she noticed her Uncle Horace coming home late from work, dead-tired and down. She clung to him, gave him a sloppy welcome-home kiss, and urged him to play house with her. He had agreed without hesitating or having second thoughts. He had come to love her that much. He never raised his voice at her, but was always strict. He'd buy her presents, toys and take her shopping.

On the Eve of her sixteenth birthday, Uncle Horace brought home a girl who looked like her except this girl was older by three years and more mature. She was Jane, Keath's older sister. Uncle Horace, who had been a friend of their father since before either child had been born, knew about the first child. Their father and mother couldn't cope with Jane. What with their lack of a permanent home and job, they had no way to support their child. So they sent her away to her grandmother until they've saved enough for a house. Three years after that, they had Keath. By then, they could cope with a child, but only A child for they couldn't yet support two. So they waited patiently for the right time to take Jane back. On the day of the car crash, their father was promoted and their mother was a published novelist, and they were ready to take in Jane.

"Everything has a price to pay," she quoted. Mother and father wanted to tell me then, but I was only seven at that time. Maybe they thought I was too sensitive to be told the truth. And then they died. They died when they were ready to tell me.

Although Keath grew up with her Uncle Horace's selfless love around her, her experience with her biological uncle and his two sons turned her heart to stone and her tongue free of sensitivity. She was frank, insensitive, and cold. This facade only lifted when she was around the people she loved, the people she cared about.

She opened the window to her room and looked at the sky, her arms leaning on the window sill. The stars were twinkling brightly and the moon was full and sweet. It reminded her of... she shook her head. She mustn't think of any of these memories, or she'll be sucked into them and possibly change her choices. She made a promise to her sister. She promised not to use her ability, considering how powerful it is and could easily be corrupted, under any circumstances. Because going back to change the past will not only change the future, it could also worsen the problem.
Panting hard, she dropped dead on her bed. Her luggages were already in the room. As far as she knew, she was the only one staying in Dorm Room 2-C. The principal hadn't mentioned a roommate so far. Rolling on her back so she lay facing the white ceiling, she thought of what she should do for the rest of the day. According to her schedule, her first class was in the afternoon, but she didn't know if this day was her first day. After all, she was already late. Should she still bother attending with only a few hours to unpack?

Rolling on her side, she let the thought pass. She felt like sleeping right now. Attending classes didn't seem to be worth it right now. In a matter of seconds, she fell into a shallow sleep.
BTW, whose turn it is to post in the IC now?

I can second that interest, what would she play/do in the band?

She plays the piano and violin pretty well. She can also sing.
"Who are you, little girl?" demanded a rather bossy guard outside the gates of the Academy.

"I am Keath Ross, a student of this learning facility."

"Rather late, aren't we?"

"I--" she stopped short. She was late? "I'm late?" she echoed.

"The gates are closed, aren't they?"

Keath, swearing silently to herself, took out her school identification card and student application form. "But I really am a student and I really didn't mean to be late on the first day of classes."

The guard looked behind her. "And where are your bags?"

"They're already inside." At the guard's confused expression, she added, "A gentleman by the name of Mr. Horacio Ross delivered them here earlier this week."

She watched as the guard took out a clipboard. He flipped some pages and, with her help, located the gentleman's name. "Alright," he said in a gruff voice. "You may go in."

Bowing her head slightly in his direction as thanks, she ran up the rest of the way to the school. Crowded corridors greeted her wherever she went. She had decided not to attract too much attention to herself this year and she felt that decision slowly slipping from her grasp. Quiet suddenly, she remembered not having to ask the principal for her dorm room assignment. She groaned. Not only does she have to walk from one building to another---from the dorms to the principal’s office, and back---but she also has to carry the heavy messenger bag slung on one shoulder the whole way. She gave a grunt and hurriedly made her way. The sooner she gets going, the sooner it’ll be over.

((OOC: My way of reminding you, dear game master, that I don’t have a room yet :D ))

i like itjust to clarify thoughis she supposed to be a returning student?because for the advanced classes you have to have taken the basic classes, which she would have, as a returning studenti have no problem with that, i just want to make sureand who's her sister?you mention her in the personality but never before thatjust wonderingother then that, accepted :)

Returning student... yeah, I guess so since she's already a junior.

Oh, her sister's just a minor character. But Keath here writes to her and Mr. Horacio often.
