@71342 I don't think you're late friend, the post deadline is next Wednesday (unless I vastly misunderstood the deadline), so everyone is pretty early.
@ERode My post is done, it's a bit late because I was working frantically yesterday. May I be pmed the HARD DEETS so I can include Minerva's responses in my post and adjust accordingly? Cheers!
P.S.: I also have some 0s in stats because my character isn't much of a gamer so he realistically would not know what is what (he also didn't ask Minerva on how he should spread his stats), but it doesn't mean he has malfunctioning limbs because he has 0 DEX right? D: .
Work in progress, the main content is here but I will make it better looking. I didn't want to spend more time after realizing my post is one day late.
Sword of Light. Meteorite. A disastrous impact. These were the words that came to his mind when he watched those scenes unfold, he watched mesmerized until what looks like a mutant-sized avian stared at him and spoke. He caught his breath… … … …
“Yes, it was. …many thanks, Minerva.” Nivlek said instinctually, waited for a moment, then scrunched his brows at himself: Did he just reciprocate an A.I.? I it might have been his years of isolation that drove him to respond that way. He turned his head virtually and looked around… – not that it matters, no one was here to hear it anyway, to his relief. He could indulge in this rare courtesy of conversation with a robot.
Presented with a far more interactive options menu, he put aside the highly disturbing expressions of the virtual owl for a moment. It was an A.I., it could have been designed this way to unnerve new players anyway…
Username?
Nivlek thought for a long while before he tapped a calloused finger on the holographic screen before him R E D L I G H T N I N G. It was his Chinese name’s meaning, inverted. He scrolled through all of the options curiously, testing each and every one of them and tuning them to suit his goals for even playing this, before long…
“Minerva? I’m done …I think.” In hindsight, he felt like dirty for leaving nudity, vulgarities and clothing damage on. But he did not want to be blinded by these censors, what if something secret was tattooed on the breasticles of some voluptuous monster? Or a code embedded in a slew of foul language? The truth was always better.
“But I’ve got three questions that require your advice.” Nivlek looked at the owl expectantly and gestures to the options panel after brushing his fringe aside out of habit.
“There’s a pain setting here that goes to 100%. If someone experiences extreme pain, their bodily system goes into neurogenic shock and shuts down many functions – including breathing, if severe enough. We’ll be simulating combat in this game, right?” He was clearly well versed in the subject of Biology. “Is there anything to prevent this from happening to us in real life? Any safeguards? Has there been casualties from this before?”
He seemed worried as he spoke, naturally, just the memory of waking up midst surgery because the anaesthesia did not work properly that time was enough to send psychic lashes through his nerves, enough to cause him to physically claw at his chest in an attempt to hold his heart in at times. But to experience all that in a game?
“Secondly: The AGI stat boasts it’s ability to skew a player’s perception of time and even allow them to move at an accelerated rate to match this new perspective. Essentially, Time Dilation. How much of a degree of this are we speaking here?"
If this game truly could do that, imagine how many therapists could benefit from it? Consultations in seconds, biographies in minutes. The possibilities.
“And Thirdly: Will I ever be able to contact you again once I’m out of here? I will have …a lot of questions about this place and I don’t think I’ll ever find a better guide than you, Administrative Function.”

Cannibal Courtesan is a Horogi class. That being said, there are equivalents to nation-specific classes, if you look hard enough, and it's always possible to change your citizenship too.
I see! So we won't start off with classes yet, right?
unless all 6 of those jobs happen to be income-based jobs.
Very Quick Question: So if we start in Horogi, we can't be of classes from other places right? Like a Tithe Collector in Horogi or a Courtesan Cannibal in Alderamin.
I require relevant details on that class or what I will be stuck imaging is a sultry, silk dressed geisha of spender figure wearing a bunned up hairpiece with her maw dripping with blood as she takes another bite out of her neighbour's brains!
@ERode I'm getting the vibe that the starting areas will designate [racial passive] type stuff rather than restricting classes and playstyles- and on the classes topic, since other people have stated their wishes for what direction they wanted to go with that. I was hoping to make a healer that utilized Draining Magic/Debuffs/Condition Damage, with curses and stuff but definitely still a healer. Would something like that be possible- if not I'll cry about it and move on with my life.
I'm just throwing random ideas out here but it sounds like you need ideas linking Nation's style with your character concept. So if you don't mind my short blurb...
If we were to end up in Alderamin, sounds like a 'mad' scientist could do that, discover how to manipulate Vitae, the summarized essence of life, through science and drain it from all in his way with somekind of steampunkish contraption gun + chamber.
Curses being diseases. Conditions ...well, I consider setting someone on fire as giving them a condition. Yeah?
Kind of like what we see in the anime, kingdom of corpses.
@PrinceAlexusYou missed out on the detail that you'd be a new player, and that the game never updated after launch.
@71342 Character concept =/= specific classes. But I'll keep your concept in mind. If you're committed to going full steampunk, you'll wanna vote for Alderamin specifically.
Got it! I guess I'll edit the post to make it more concept like, rather than specific. That good?
I'm not committed to it, afterall, if we are all to start in the same nation then it would be weird if a Deneb starting character had access to high technology. I'm going to go with the flow and see how things fit as we play. :).
