Naevys half-listened to the human and half-stewed in a concoction of anger and annoyance at the idiocy spewing from the mouth of the other Iskar. The man couldn't read people to save his life, and she absolutely hated the fact that he came here and began to embarrass her in front of people she just met and was about to own a ship with. He was ridiculous. She turned and looked at the human who began to speak, listening to what he had to say and barely nodding in agreement before turning around again and attempting to punch Valeas.

She missed. Horribly. He must have moved when she wasn't looking, because her fist hit air and she stumbled forward slightly, barely keeping her balance and sighing angrily. This man was incredibly frustrating.

"Valeas, I didn't want you to come find me."
Valeas is the worst oh my god
She knew that voice. If it were up to her luck for a ship to cross the ocean, it would sink a day after leaving port and everyone on it would drown. It was so incredibly typical that he would find her now. Fucking Valeas. She left the Iskar because of him - something she didn't like talking about, simply because it was so idiotic that she left because of another person rather than of any real reason. Naevys quickly spun around, facing Valeas, who was barely covered, as per usual.

"Why are you here?" The annoyance was obvious in her voice, and one of her hands formed into a fist as she barely contained her urge to punch him in the face. Captain Ragbeard hadn't wanted a brawl over who the new captain was going to be, and he probably didn't want one over old news either. Still, it was nice that someone had come looking for her, even if it were Valeas of all people. It was actually almost surprising that he came looking for her.
Hello c:
Naevys had been quiet so far, sitting pretty at the table while the group of people talking - mostly half-orcs, at this point, discussed who should be the captain. The careful wording made it seem like they all wanted to be captain, honestly, but her favor was leaning towards the human, perhaps at the slight suspicion she felt concerning half-orcs. She knew the old captain from long ago, maybe 15 years, when she had first left the Iskar. Before she was even considered an adult in her homeland she had left and found a job on his ship, and was almost immediately set to work the rigging because of her light weight and small stature. Naevys eventually left, but she still knew the dhow, Lilian's Tear.

Sensing a lull, she stood up, one hand on the table and the other pointing at the human who had previously spoke.

    "I vote him."
Name: Anais
Race: Human
Appearance:

Text of whatever: Anais crept quietly over the roof shingles in the middle class district of Gward Haeth, alone with her thoughts and the obscenely bright night stars and moon that didn't believe in being shrouded by the smog of the city. The sky was clear and the distant groans of a drunk in a nearby alley as he collapsed and fell asleep were all to familiar to the human girl. She had been smothered in mundane her entire life, nothing extraordinary happening in her life or in the lives of those around her. She had no skills obvious to her to speak of, despite the fact that she had trained in swords with her father from a young age simply because he didn't believe that his daughter should live the same boring life as everyone around them. He kept that ideology past her mother's death, when it was suddenly almost too difficult for him to be around the laughing, living reminder of his wife and convinced Anais to pack her bags and live the life she was meant to live. And she left her village and somehow made her way to the giant city of Gward Haeth with nothing to do and nowhere to go - and it was almost sad until she realized that she had finally broken the mold.
I'm interested <3
Alright, I've read the first two Eragon books but that was forever ago so it slipped my mind. That makes sense, this looks fun. Thanks.
Are dragons themselves playable or are they strictly npcs?
I'm interested.
