So, Ollum and I along with others occasionally have been talking about our first planned job with Fallenmuse in IRC. Chinaworth offers as much as 500gp for high risk cargo runs and we felt that was the best first job if we can get something along those lines.

We have yet to agree on our next job but basically we either do 2-3 Chinaworth jobs and get 1.5-2k GP to outfit for serious combat, or we take our 500gp outfit enough for our current level and do a job for Ashur who will pay about 200gp for pirates with a ship similar to ours, pay for repairs, and we get the pirate ship we take with all cargo onboard. If we capture a ship of the same size as our own they cost barebones new 7,000 GP so we can be assured like 3,000 GP if we make our 2nd job an Ashur one with free repairs.

What does everyone else think?

I vote for a couple of chineworth deliveries and then go pirate huntin for Ashur and get tons of money if we're lucky.

Hmm, I'm cool with either, though I can't really decide between whether to vote high risk high reward, or go for the more reliable work with Chinatown, or go for the big bucks with Ashur. My only thoughts about the latter are logistics, mainly, but I would be happy to work with either.

The high risk high reward thing is with Chineworth.

That was more intended that the high risk, high reward job would be risking steady, albeit still dangerous, work running Chinaworth cargo, versus running the risk of not making a good profit off the pirate hunting, for whatever reason, even with free repairs thrown in.

well for pirate hunting we need a larger crew. We are about 7 hands short of that. and we could use a better arsenal for these crew. ANd more ammunition for our mounted weapons. all in all to go after a pirate vessel we will undoubtedly need more fund than we have. And a high risk cargo run is just the thing to get us that.

if you get ont he IRC Me or someone can help you buy those smaller items and get you rolling.

Actually most of them you may be able to get about with purchasing in the IC as part of the game. Because that would let you jump in sooner and solve that problem. Were going to be in port anyway for a bit just ask Fallenmuse.

Shurikai. I knew nothing of D&D and filled out the whole sheet in a couple hours, while also understanding stuff, thanks to the assistance on the IRC.

Edit: While in battle, how do we know who's where? Isn't it going to be hard to see if someone is covered from range attacks, or how far they are from the enemy and so on? We need something like a board that everyone can edit. Maybe something like googledocs with multiple pictures. One being our current ship, one being the enemy ship and all the others the characters and NPCs.
Just a thought.

Well the captain seems to have already said a big no to Slavery I think we have some pretty decent morals all around in this group. Me and you Omega probably have the most morally flexible characters in the group. And neither of us is evil.
