@Keksalot I feel like there would be crimes in any society, even a vampire one. Even if the crimes are as small as thievery someone needs to prevent it.

Helena realized her question might not have been the best to ask. This must've been the girl Neric spoke of earlier. The friend they lost was very important to them. She internally cursed herself for bringing up a bad topic. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that," she said. Helena thought for a moment and added, "Well, having Neric out like this seemed to be your uncomfortable zone, right? I think she would be very proud seeing you two out in the open like this." She didn't know the girl they lost personally and couldn't know if her words held any truth, but it seemed like they could. If the girl was so close to these two to make them react this way when mentioned, she would have to be proud of their newfound openness.

@Cat I feel like Sasha and Helena would get along well since they're both the tomboys in the family. Like they have their daily sparring sessions or something. XD
@KimmiNinja I don't think Alice and Helena would get along too well because of Alice's narcissism and maybe Helena is always trying to get her to calm it down or something. I just see them clashing a lot. XD

"Times should get better, especially after spending the summer in this camp." At his question directed to her, she answered, "Yeah, my family cares about me, but my parents are separated. It happened when I was little, so not a big deal." The young woman picked up her food again and began to eat. When her mouth was clear of food, she went on, "Actually, I got my powers from my parents. They're scientists and they thought they had a 'cure-all' medicine. I had a very low immune system, always getting sick, so they gave me the medicine. It worked, I rarely get sick now, but now I transform." She continued to eat her food, now realizing how hungry she truly was. A question popping in her head, she asked, "Is this one of your first times being in a... non-hostile, safe environment?"

It wasn't clear how or why he disconnected with them, but she didn't want to open up a can of worms by asking questions.
