@SilmarilOnce more, Deena had Helena blushing through flattery. Usually Helena wasn't so confound by flattery. When Nik or Adam told her she looked good, she was happy, but never this giddy. She felt scatterbrained at every little compliment Deena gave. Their moment seemed to be fading and this worried Helena. She wanted to spend as much time with Deena as possible, even if that meant cutting it a bit close to making it to dinner. At Deena's offer, Helena has seconds to think without creating and awkward silence. Should she take the chance to spend time with her now? Should she wait a bit more? Helena didn't want to seem desperate, but she really wanted to spend more time with the woman. Deena seemed happy to help, but was that because that was her job? Helena didn't think that was right, Deena quickly proved to be a kind and friendly person, someone who wanted to help others, not manipulate them. "Actually," Helena said, her cheerfulness meeting Deena's, "I have time tonight if you don't have anything else to do, that is." Helena hit herself on the inside. Of course Deena would have something to do! It was too late now, she already made herself seem inconsiderate and desperate.
