Name: Chromite
Gem: Chromite
Appearance: In terms of build, facial features and hairstyle, Chromite looks very similar to
Tanith from Fire Emblem. However, Chromite has gray skin and hair, and is always armored from head to toe,
like this.Gem Placement: Just under her left shoulder blade.
Gem Item: A large, Spartan-style shield (summoned) and a long lance (not summoned)
Power:
*Shield Wall: Chromite's shield triples in size, forming a veritable wall between her and whatever is attacking her.
*Indomitable Defense: When she uses this ability, it becomes impossible for anything short of poofing her or shattering her gem to make Chromite fall or stagger. Her body can still be moved, but her stance will not change unless she wants it to.
*Impenetrable: As her ace in the hole, Chromite can temporarily be invulnerable to any single attack as long as it hits her shield. However, doing this is so draining that it will poof her for at least a day, or several days if she uses it in tandem with her shield wall.
*Heavily Armored: Chromite's armored body means that she barely has to worry about sneak attacks, and it takes a significant amount of force to harm her even when she doesn't have her shield out.
*Energy Beam: Chromite's only offensive ability besides her basic attack. Chromite is able to charge her lance for a few seconds and fire bursts of kinetic energy at an opponent.
Backstory: Chromite is a fairly old Homeworld gem, having lived long enough to fight in the war for Earth. She doesn't like to talk about those days and regards Homeworld's loss as a great failure on her part. However, her efforts ultimately got her recognized by Bloodstone, whom she worked for for many centuries after the failure to reclaim the Earth. Eventually she was called away to work on Homeworld, and remained there until very recently, after being told that she was needed by Bloodstone again.
Other: A knight gem. Chromite sees herself as an enforcer of the law. She values honor and duty above anything else and would prefer death over failure to do her job. She always prefers harmony over violence, but won't hesitate to resort to violence if those are her orders.
