[Appearance Information]Alphonse might only have a single eye left, but it's red hue is so bright it almost seems to glow. His silvery hair is kept long enough to almost obscure the eyepatch he wears to cover up the scarred remains of his right eye. Given the scars that peek out from underneath it, the wound beneath is certainly not pretty even after healing up.
He stands at a modest 5'9 and has a physique that's on the leaner and spry side of things. Despite lots of time spent outdoors and on physical work, he remains fair-skinned and does not burn easily. His uniform hasn't been modified in any fashion, but he tends to wear a set of gloves and carry around a sling bag with an assortment of tools and other such knick knacks that may come in handy.
[Personality]Confident and eager to learn, Alphonse does not hesitate to seek out new experiences to practice and hone his abilities. He's never quite content to just spend an afternoon relaxing in the sun and doing nothing. Even if it's something as mundane as helping to sort through documents, grooming the Pegasi, or experimenting in the kitchen, Alphonse has an urge to constantly be doing
something. To that end, he does his best to have his week planned out to make time for the various practices needed to keep his skill set polished.
While he's learned how to put on a professional demeanour and air, Alphonse would much rather keep things casual and friendly. In an ideal world he'd eventually work under someone he could consider a friend who can take a bit of sarcasm. Hopefully his time in the Academy might just allow him to make the connections necessary for that.
[Personal History]Rescued during a mission to clear out some cultists, Alphonse was 11 when he was adopted into House Croix. A minor house serving as vassals to House Ravaleth, they provide some of the finest cavalry to the Brotherhood and attendants to other nobility.
A fascination with the various animals that served as mounts and allies to his new family made it easier for Alphonse to open up and integrate into his new family. Not that he was given too much free time to spend among his family's stables. As a new child to the family, Alphonse was put through the paces to see just where his future might lay. He may have been content working to care for the prized Wyverns and Pegasi, but he was quickly bounced between various teachers within the House.
His studies were quite generalized as an unexpected addition to the family. With no position for him to fill and a voracious desire to learn, Alphonse took everything the House could teach him in stride. Between his aptitude for magic and natural talent in a saddle, setting him on the path to join the Brotherhood would have made sense. It was a path many others in the family had taken after all.
With the sort of freedom Alphonse was afforded though, he wished to continue his education instead of simply feeding into House Ravaleth's ambitions. Their house may not have been one of the major players in Galbia, but his surrogate parent had the coin to pay for his tuition. Housing his friend Curga would have to wait until later as a sort of probationary period, so he won't be able to take the sights in from even higher up just yet. Fortunately, the presence of a
smaller companion seems to be just acceptable, so Alphonse is not without someone to take care of.
