Medieval is a bit of a broad topic, so I'll just toss down what comes to mind here. Pretty much all of these could also have fantasy if you want.
Royalty/Nobles of same or seperate kingdoms. Could be at peace or war. Knights/soldiers in a war, could be fighting side by side or against eachother, may lead to one being prisoner or a third group being a larger threat. Royalty or Knight sent on a quest, partners up with an adventurer, mercenary or other such character. Civilians caught up in whatever mess is going down at the time. Pair of Hero style character on a quest, or even Hero and Villain.
I have a few more settings more thought out, but that would probably be better put in a pm.
Welcome to my interest check! There probably won't be much here, to begin with, but hopefully, there's something that catches your attention. Before that though, let's just toss rules and expectation up before anything else, so no one wastes their time reading just to be stopped there.
Rules!
1. Site rules obviously apply, no exceptions. This also includes the usual rules about god-modding and controlling other people's characters. 2. IC and OOC are separate things. Your character can be the biggest ass ever, but as long as it stays IC, it's fine. 3. I am 25 and have no issues with swearing and 18+ themes, but playing out people's 18+ fantasy isn't why I write. If those scenes do arise, I'll RP them with you, but I write for a good story above all else. 4. First come first serve, if you like a plot and you want to give it a go, I'll mark it off the list as taken, helps me not get things mixed up between stories. If there are different characters with the same general premise (see Mercenaries) I'll mark off whatever character is taken.
I'll add more if I think the need arises, but that's about it. Now as for the expectations, they aren't much. I myself work 40 hours plus overtime shifts when I can, so I probably won't be that fast. Anything over 1 post every few days is nice. As for length, as long as it has enough detail to be interesting, it doesn't really matter how long it is. If you can get everything done and your point across in 2 paragraphs, awesome. If you wanna fluff it out to 5 paragraphs, go right ahead. I'll probably be around the 1 to 3 paragraphs, depending on what's happening.
Now that the annoying things are out of the way, and if you haven't hit the back button, here are some random plots to consider! Wait crap, forgot something about characters. I highly prefer OC characters, and only use cannon ones as supporting roles. The only exception for this is characters you can customize, such as the Arisen from Dragons Dogma, or Corrin and Robin from Fire Emblem.
Set after Adventures, this tale revolves around two souls that get into all sorts of messes. The first is a mercenary captain piloting a very advanced stealth cruiser by the name of Vala. Little is known about this individual, other than their price is high, but well worth it if the mission absolutely must be completed. This captain's clients range from lofty individuals, businesses with dirty work to have done and even the Cornerian government, though that is only out of necessity, as they themselves have felt Vala's bite before. The strange thing about this mercenary is that the first appearance was over 80 years ago, and every once in a while would vanish without a trace for several years before resurfacing. The most recent time was around 3 years prior to the start of the story. As for the second soul, well, that's up to you. Are you a fellow merc in need of a partner? A hunter after the fabled Vala's head? Or someone in need of help that normal means can't assist? Any of those, or any other reason you can think of, would make for a starting point.
This one is pretty open. We can run around for a while doing our own thing until the Assault storyline happens, maybe even eventually lead into the Command story, but change that abomination. I have ideas for 'Vala' being either male or female, with separate stories for each one. I'd definitely be willing to do one for each of them if there's interest. Brownie points if you know where the base premise of Vala comes from. A little hint, Buttercup.
This one I totally stole from a friend.
Based in the Fates world, Corrin has chosen to side with neither Hoshido or Nohr, opting to flee instead of trying to fight both forces at once. Without the faithful Butler and Azura, he/she were forced to try to find allies from another realm. In the search, Corrin comes across Robin after the sacrifice ending of Awakening, bringing Robin back with them to help in the coming conflicts. Acting as the tactician and helping teach Corrin to fight better as well as deal with the currently aggressive family, the two will have a lot of work to do if they wish to bring about the happy ending that they both desperately wish for.
This one is a lot simpler, and both Robin and Corrin can be changed however we like, as long as the end goal stays the same. Genders can be whatever we want and I have a few ideas for both Corrin and Robin, though I admit I do prefer my Robin idea the most. I'm a monster.
In the year 2040, mankind hit a golden age. Sustainable energy sources became easier to get ahold of and new technologies were being dreamed up and made a reality every other week. During this time, plans to expand off of Earth became a close reality. The first destination was the closest, the Moon. It took several years of planning, but with self-contained agriculture, it became almost a trivial matter to keep a colony supplied. From there it was Mars, and then onwards, mankind claiming several of both Jupiter's and Neptune's moons. There was even a small base placed on Pluto, however, it was only manned by a few dozen. The Mars colony quickly expanded and plans for terraforming the planet to be truly habitable outside of the newly constructed dome cities, more of which were constantly being built.
In 2072, however, something arrived that would tell the end of the golden age of man. A few dozen creatures, entirely biological, came hurtling into Earths atmosphere. Teams were sent out to investigate but were immediately attacked and slaughtered by the creatures. They ejected bursts of green energy, later called bio-plasma, that tore through even the toughest metals in moments and flesh even quicker. A horrifying discovery was also made that the creatures would ingest any form of biological material to strengthen itself, mutate into a different form or even split into another creature. What little military force that was still available after so many years of peace was immediately rallied and sent after the creatures, only for it to become apparent that physical projectiles did little to them. High yield missiles were eventually used to destroy the invaders. The remains were taken and studied, revealing that they are vulnerable to energy attacks themselves. Massive amounts of funds were diverted into research and development for weapons, vehicles and shielding that could be used to fight these things should they return. In 2078, everyone's fears were realized. Hundreds of thousands of the creatures, now named Ventis, entered the solar system and made a straight line dash for Earth, hitting it full force. Despite preparations, Earth was overrun and evacuated within a week, most of the population not making it off the planet before the defenses fell. All contact was lost to those few that remained, and humanity was now suddenly nothing more than a handful of colonies and a few dome-cities on Mars. More defenses were raised at these locations to fend off the roaming Ventis, weapons and vehicles produced and pilots trained. A plan to retake Earth was being made, centered around the construction of a massive warship, armed with enough weapons to tear apart the Ventis. It is now 2083, and this is where our story begins, a pair of Pilots that would help protect what was left of their kind.
Both medieval and futuristic, pretty much anything but modern Pokemon! Cus damn I'm a nerd. Fire Emblem, mostly Awakening and Fates Star Fox, again, nerd. Warhammer 40K, I've been binging on this for the last month, no idea why. There's probably a dozen other ones I can't think of now.
I'll probably add more later, but for now, that's it. As for pairings, I go with MxF, as I have 0 experience with MxM and only a few bits of FxF, and those never lasted long. If you have any ideas, don't hesitate to write them down, what's the worst I could do, say no? I will say that slice-of-life is probably the worse Genre for me though, I run out of things to say or do way too fast and lose interest shortly after. Sci-fi and medieval are my bread and butter, with a healthy dose of fantasy jammed in there somewhere.
Message me either here or through PMs if your interested. That's all for now, bye!
I've been wandering around for a while now, but never really had the drive to actually start an account. However, recently writing on my own has gotten rather bland, so a friend of mine suggested I try doing some RPing here to get something new into the mix (namely other people), so I finally made an account.
A little about me I suppose. Guy or girl? Doesn't matter, we're here to RP whatever our hearts desire, so the real world doesn't matter. I will say that I have recently turned 25, so no age worries there. As for posting, I can't really promise a whole lot, I do work 40 hours+ a week on top of transit, but I do try to get writing done on my phone, as well as any time I can get in at home. I'd say I'm around a mid-casual, but depends on a few things like the scene and level of detail I'm trying to reach for the post.
I'll probably toss up a interest check in the next day or so, but there are a few thing I can say will get my attention quickly. Star Fox being one I've had on my mind for a while (Assault or Adventures to be exact), as well as Pokemon, Fire Emblem (SO MANY AU'S) and Dreamkeepers (web comic).
