Name: Eva
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 20
_____________Appearance: Eva is a woman standing 5’ tall with black hair tied in high pigtails adorned with a red ribbon. Her eyes are the hue of a beautiful deep red that would often catch the glances of others, be it negative or positive. Some would even come close to saying she has a doll-like appearance with her pale skin and dark hair. Although not having much, Eva does prefer a more elegant aesthetic much like the clothing one would suspect the nobles would wear. Her attire consists of black laced blouse, a skirt, a hooded cape, and a plushie backpack which has the appearance of a white bear. Her clothing are actually basic clothing she found and done what she can to tailor it to be more suited to her own tastes.
Personality: Most would look at Eva and be quick to assume by glance that she’s just some shy, elegant girl who doesn’t talk much. None of that is true. It’s a persona she created for herself for a few various reasons. She always dreamt of nobility and would do what she can to mimic their behavior as she imagined they would be. She would walk with poise and would talk kindly to whoever would approach her. This persona helps to boost her own self esteem and allow her to walk with more confidence in herself.
However, this persona does break sometimes. Eva finds it quite embarrassing when her character breaks in front of people she doesn’t know. She finds that her short temper isn’t lady-like and can ruin things for her in the long run. Doing her best to hide it, it had helped her get around much easier.
Though she does tend to loosen up among friends and partners she’s close with. She feels much comfortable when she isn’t around people who would judge based on first impressions and is okay to be her true self which is a girl who’s kind with a little bit of toughness packed in her.
Element: Wind
_____________Equipment:❣ Scythe: The scythe was given to Eva from her mentor, Yorik, just before leaving for Lowick. It’s very important to her and is the one thing she brings with her that would remind her of home.
❣ Plush Backpack: Something she kept on her since she was little. Acting as a backpack for convenience and just being a small doll she grew an attachment with as a child made it very difficult to part with. During her training with her mentor, she learned how to make the plush dance about with wind magic and eventually got into ventriloquism as an act and a fun pass time.
❣ Sewing Kit: Something she carries around to fix any tears on her clothing.
_____________Skills: ❣ Ventriloquism: Aside from using her wind for offensive uses, Eva uses it for fun and one of those uses would be ventriloquism. Making her plush doll dance around much like a puppet and begin able to make it speak without moving her own mouth is a talent she takes pride in. She would often use this as a means of performance in order to make some kind of money own her own.
❣ Haggling: Eva is always out for a bargain. Having had seen many people get scammed where she is from, Eva picked up the ability to make deals to get price cuts. She would often attempt to charm her target and if that would fail she would take a more direct approach with negotiating.
❣ Sewing/Tailoring: A skill she picked up when she was younger. She would often mess with whatever close she had to make them into something nice or anything to resemble the nobility. It also comes in handy whenever clothing tear, break, or needs to be renewed and styled a different way. She's not perfect at it, but proud how far she came with it.
_____________Abilities: ❣ Windblade: A simple spell that’s used with a swing of scythe and sends a sharp blade of wind to her enemy.
❣ Gust: A strong burst of wind summoned around her to knockback whatever comes her way.
❣ Acrobatic Agility: With her ability to use wind magic, Eva is able to use it to enhance her acrobatic skills in and out of combat allowing her to become more agile and nimble.
_____________History: Eva was the middle child of three siblings. She had an older brother named Risto and a younger sister named Ayla. Together the three spent most of their childhood in Zephry and not to say it was a good one. Trying to live a simple and peaceful life in Zephry wasn’t easy or some would even just claim it to be impossible with the nature of things here. From land that seems so dull from life and crime being around the siblings left and right, there was no doubt these three had probably struggled.
The three lived in a very small and cramped home their parents had left behind for them while they went out to travel to look for work to send money back their way. If it even gets to them at least. It was very rare for them to see their parents given they’ll be gone for a few months at a time. The three were used to this and didn’t pay too much mind to their absence since they mostly had to focus on themselves. Despite it not being a peaceful way of living compared to the rest of the world, the three of them were fine with how things were. This life was their normal and they made the best of it together.
Except Eva may have had a different view of their situation compared to her brother and sister. She resented it. Not so much her siblings, but this way of living. Eva knew of the rich that surrounds the poor in Zephry and she also knew of the nobility life that’s outside of it. She dreamed of this lifestyle for her and her family. Living comfortably in a large home, the need to worry over money and food is gone, and less to worry of the mist of doom that looms over their heads on occasion. She envied them. Wanted to be them. But how? How does someone even go about obtaining this fortune?
Should she resort to the path of thievery and crime like everyone else? No. It wasn’t worth it. Yet… that wasn’t to say she considered it. Eva would walk the streets time and again with the thought in her mind. Were she to spot any valuables she would contemplate starting life as a criminal.
Then came the day, much like the other as she wandered about and on the ledge of a window she spotted a box that looked like it had some value. Up to this point, Eva had enough. The days as of late grew difficult and she was tired of faking it to her siblings as if it was okay. She was tired of them pretending it was okay. Could she make a decent fortune were she to swipe this box? It was tempting. Very tempting. It drew her closer and closer as her arms reached out for it. She didn’t care anymore, if this can help, then it was all worth it. She checked her surroundings to be sure no one was looking until a hand rested upon her shoulders.
A taller man standing behind her pulled her back an inch away from the window and shook his head. Yorik was his name and he was watching her contemplating over this decision from a distance and decided to intervene once she made her choice. He asked her if this was the path she really wanted to take along with offering an alternate. One that might benefit her greatly. Yorik was a follower of Minnow and explained her objective for the people of Zephry along with the opportunities it may offer Eva long term.
Interested, Eva took Yorik up on his offer and became a follower of Minnow as well. She already figured nobility is out of her reach, but working to make things better for the place she called home didn’t sound like a bad idea. Yorik then became a sort of a mentor for her. He taught her better use of her magic and to train using a scythe in means to keep herself safe.
A few years passed since then and Eva had kept up with this training and doing what she could for Zephry. That was when she heard of the attacks going about and a hunt for the witches who were to be the cause of it. The reward drew her in and so did many around her. A lot can be done with the wealth that can be gained from the reward itself. From helping out themselves and even Zephry itself.
Eva then let her siblings know of her next goal and began to head off to Lowick alongside a few others out in seek of a witch.
