IC: Parents and Friends the rpg

Ivy looked Diamond over curiously, eyeing her over for a moment, this had to be Diamond, Emerald had described her teammates to both her parents in various emails and phone calls, and this girl fit the bill, except without the hat that Emerald had mentioned she was fond off.
Of course she didn't take too much time analyzing the girl, after all it would be rude just to stare at her silently, she gave Diamond a warm and inviting smile. "I am Ms. Felicia yes. You must be Emerald's roommate, Diamond, she's mentioned you a handful of times in her calls and letters." Every word from Ivy's mouth was sweet and very sincere sounding. Her smile wavered slightly as she gave a look of concern. "I...I heard that you kids got some serious injuries on your last mission. Are you all alright? Is Emerald alright? She told us she was okay but a mother still worries..." Ivy's eyes widened slightly. "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to start bombarding you with questions. Here, have a cookie, I baked enough for everyone." She opened the basket in her hand and pulled out a fresh looking cookie, offering it to Diamond.

Now normally Andrew was one to pay attention to his surroundings, it was a thing you learned to do as a huntsman, it was like instinct. However he had barely noticed the conversation between Diamond and his wife, his eyes were fixed ahead at the older man and middle aged woman having a somewhat intense conversation in front of them. He hadn't recognized her at first, it had been well over twenty years after all, but could it be her? No, don't be ridiculous Andrew, she just looks like her. What are the odds she'd be here of all places? On this very day? He had to admit the odds were ridiculous...but then he saw her glance at him, the panicked expression in her face gave it all way, she recognized him, it had to be her.
The real question was, why was she so distressed and panicked from seeing him after all these years? It wasn't like they'd left on bad terms, it had been a one night thing, before he even met Ivy.
She obviously knew something he didn't, either that or there was some sort of misunderstanding. Either way Andrew reckoned there was no point in just staring, he was gonna figure this out.
And the best way to do that was the straight forward way, just ask. He walked right up to them. "Uh, hello there. Now forgive me if I'm mistaken, but that look on your face tells me you knew me and I knew you once upon a time. Am I right? Or am I just making an ass of myself here, I tend to do that from time to time." He chuckled nervously and scratched the back of his head.
