Audiophile was the first to speak when MindWarp finished her speech and she was glad to know that she was willing to join the cause. "You shall have what you wish." She conceded softly and moved onto the battle craft. Next came Cheshire and MindWarp tilted her head in a slight nod and her lips quirked a smile. "Deal." She said, agreeing to the cat girls request for a lifetime supply of catnip. When Thane, one of the armoured men spoke up, MindWarp felt her eye twitch. Had he not actually listened to her speech at all? When in her whole speech did she ever refer to it as 'her team?'Never. Not once. She had only offered them the chance to join her. Join me, she had said. She breathed in deeply to calm herself.
"Chill." She said simply and the word had her making the illusion of the inside of the craft beginning to freeze. She used the second stage of her illusion and every one would think that the place really was freezing, not even any armour would stop the illusion for it affected peoples very minds and their nervous and pain systems. Her illusions in this method could really be used to kill people, but this was only a little warning. "How about this time you turn on your hearing aid and actually listen?" She asked in a stoic whisper betraying no amusement, no anger, no emotion at all.
"I offered a chance to join a cause. A cause we all have. To be villains. To lay waste to great expanses, to seek revenge, to fulfil darker cravings, to vent, to show people just exactly what and who we are with no remorse. We are what we are." Around them the 'temperature' steadily lowered and lowered and lowered and would continue to do so until she made it cease. "You want to stamp your name onto the pages of history. Make everyone run for their lives when they hear your name? You were halfway there, weren't you, Jacob Oliver Constantine. Betrayal hurts, doesn't it? Especially when it comes from those we think we can trust. Best friends... family... lovers..." She trailed off and glanced at various people around the room. The people that she knew to have face betrayal. She was also letting them see that she was not just a pretty face. She had a calculating brain and she had actually put thought into everything she had done thus far. "You compare me to a fool? But truly, fools are those blinded by impressions and egos. I never said I would be the leader and honestly I only wish to guide and allow the release of full potentials. Each to their own, as they say, we will do what we do best." Yes, she was purposely being vague, since she would only reveal more when knowing that people were true to the cause. However, she still got the point across. Leaders needed followers and she didn't need mindless followers for she had no orders, only benefits.
"As I have said, joining is your choice, as is staying. But to that I say, how far did you get when alone? Cause and effect, lovelies, cause and effect. You say I did nothing and yet, I started an avalanche. By allowing my capture I set gears into motion. I freed Virus, asked her to kindly hack into the systems disable the alarms and such, then the next gear began to turn. The life fuelled power source was placed out of action thus the power went out. Then what happened? Yes, indeed, the next gear turned. Without power, restraints set by electricity could be removed. Audiophile, with out even meaning to freed other whilst she freed herself. Continuously the gears I began to turn right from the beginning have led us all to one place in time. Here and now."
She focused on Abyss. "It is our cause. Our fate. With the cause you hold no debts, but unto yourself may you fulfil them." She said and moved her attention onto the unforeseen addition to her 'turning gears.' "Chill." She repeated to the alien creature as the temperature lowered further. "I have no hold over your actions. Your wish is your command." She told him in deadpan and moved onto Velocity. "Money is theirs if you so desire it to be."
"Now as for the Warden, has it been forgotten that I said 'do with him as you will'? Kill him. Leave him to face consequences. Bring him along for ransom. What you choose to do is inconsequential to the cause."Finally finished, MindWarp removed the illusion, but they would still feel cold until their body heat kicked back into action and their brains registered the lack of cold.
