Bio

Hi, I'm new here and to role playing games in general. I've dabbled a bit in the past, but haven't for a long time. Lately I've been seeing a lot of interest in it which has made me want to try. I'm not really picky as far as game genre goes, I just look forward to some awesome rp and hopefully some new friends

So here's what I would like to do. I will build the world, and narrate the story. But the community will decide what directions and decisions the main character makes. I will post the IC and characters, and decisions will be made in OOC. The way everyone votes on this quiz will decide what our character, Soren, is like. The most popular answers are what get written into the story. I'll check back in a day or two, and will start working on the story then, or when the voting dies down. After that, voting is locked. Feel free to jump in or out, since I'll be the only one posting IC.
Note: I've moved this to the General Interest Checks.

I'm always down for a zombie rp. Count me in!
Hello, I am curious and interested. I don't have much experience with MxM but I'm willing to give it a shot. I usually try to write at an advanced level, but sometimes might be casual, depends on things, I'm sure you know how it goes. I am particularly interested in the post-apocalyptic rebels scenario. I can try something else if you like, but that genre has always struck my fancy.
I'm still here, was waiting on some more people to post before I posted again.
@Lucius Cypher Not much, we're still in the beginning of things. So far only me, Azazaa, and Darcs have shown up, and nothing's really happened. Just don't forget your lantern!
I've been wanting to do a 1x1 Supernatural Rp, romance optional. I see that it's crossed out, though, is it off the table? If so, that's fine, I'm still interested.
A solemn nod and unbreaking eye contact were Joe's only response to Sky's threat, before she returned to her game. She made a valid point, anyone planning an excursion like this had to have serious resources backing them up. But... China? He shared the other's interest in this point. He was no history buff, and in fact, was almost totally lost in this conversation. So he decided to just stay quiet and learn what he can.

Then, the next member of their little "party" showed up. Another Asian woman, accompanied by some kind of Mr. Handy variant. They didn't really look like mercs, scientists, or anyone he expected to show up. They almost looked like they were raised in a vault. His skin bristled, this thought unsettled him. The guy who took out his crew was from a vault. She didn't seem like a threat, but neither did that lone wanderer. Great, another one to watch. What the fuck kind of expedition is this going to be?

As the others spoke, he let out a sigh. He'd been around eggheads before, and could recognize where this conversation was going. Whatever. I don't need the details. Just tell me what to shoot, and it's dead, he thought. Doesn't matter what their endgame was, only thing that matters is getting paid and getting home.

He rummaged in his rucksack and pulled out his bottle of whiskey. He'd found it a long time ago, and had yet to open it. It was rare to find a bottle of anything in such good condition, so he'd been saving it for a special occasion. Special occasions were also rare in this world, so Joe figured this could count. He twisted it open and took a swig.
Joe couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the woman named Shin-mu's offer. That... was a lot of caps. But the gold bar was even more tempting. Easier to carry, easier to hide for a rainy day. Harder to spend, though. Plus, whatever he could get his hands on over there.

Joe followed the Courser inside, and leaned against the back wall, facing the door. He'd never met so much as a Gen-3 synth, well, that he could tell anyway, much less a Courser. The stories were enough, though.

Have to keep an eye on that one. Looks like the only credible threat so far, but something's off about the other three. Wait and see.

"The offer's acceptable." he nodded at Shin-mu, "But keep in mind, you better be good for it. If I find out I'm wasting my time, I'm taking my pay one way or another."

Joe had learned the hard way not to threaten someone who could be hiding something, but he had to test the waters here. These three were obviously up to something. He had been in the merc business a long time, and no one throws a net that wide, accepting whatever strolls through the door.

Then the Courser asked about the job, taking the words out of Joe's mouth, so he leaned back and listened intently.
The faint smell of saltwater brushed Joe's nostrils as he traveled seaward. He was getting closer, but had yet to find a lantern. Wonder what'll happen if I skip the lantern? Might end up in a fight. Might get some new loot. Joe's thoughts were cut short by a faint light bobbing in the distance. Though, I don't want to start off on the wrong foot with my new employers.

Joe sighed as the man cowered before him. Just some wanderer, probably a straggling caravaneer. But he had what Joe needed. Otherwise, Joe wouldn't even have bothered with him. Tough luck.

"But, it's too dark! If I give you my lantern, it'll be a death sentence for m-" he was cut off by the sound of Joe's pistol cocking.

"If you don't give it to me, it'll be a death sentence for you. Now, either put it on the ground, or I'll pry it off your corpse." Joe demanded.

The man's face contorted, faced with certain death or probable death. Just as the tears were beginning to form, his expression changed. Fear was replaced with anger, and his once trembling hands now clutched the lantern with white knuckles.

"Fine! Take it!" he screamed, and threw the lantern at Joe's feet. The lantern broke, spreading fire and causing Joe to fall back. Joe trained his crosshairs on the man's fading back, but holstered his weapon instead of firing. Waste of a bullet. he thought, Besides, he's got guts. Oughta make the mirelurks happy.

Joe sauntered past the sentry, who seemed to pay him no mind. Nonetheless, he was tense. This wasn't like any of the other jobs. There were two men speaking in the doorway, and what looked like two women in the house. One of the men was holding a bloody lantern, and looked severely out of place, compared to the others. Joe didn't think clothes that nice even existed anymore.

Joe tossed his broken, burnt lantern at the men's feet, announcing his presence.

"So, what's the pay?"
