@ADamnFiddle, All right. Want to collab?

Edit: I have a MeetingWords page.

What did you have in mind?
@ADamnFiddle, What is your opinion of Myst joining in either Maria or Chastity's plots?

Well Maria is probably fine, but working with Chastity will not be a good idea for, uh, various reasons.

Maria von Hohenzollern

Royal Capital Lugnica

@liferusher

Another strange individual had appeared before Maria. These last few 24 or some odd hours have definitely shown her there were many foreigners in her city now, and for whatever reason they had appeared without warning. Kidnapped or not, there was clearly an issue with the immigration in this city, or perhaps even the kingdom as a whole.

Someone had allowed another strange person into her station. It was not unheard of. She had given an order to her Knights to be on the lookout for anyone that looked suspicious in the same vein as the other “otherworlders”, though Maria had no understanding of where these people came from or just who they were in general.

“Well, I would not be able to assist you if you do not tell me your home. This is the Kingdom of Lugnica, and I am a Knight. Even if you are not from Lugnica, it is my duty to assist those who have strayed from their flocks.”

Maria was someone who believed in the ethical treatment of all those around her. Unless someone has proven themselves irredeemable in her eyes Maria would at least treat them with the respect they deserve as individuals. Perhaps that is why the Iron Bell Knight’s commander tended to be liked by the people. She had no concept of elitist views that would disrupt the likening of a pretty typical knight.

“There have been several cases of people being displaced from their homes and not being able to identify where they had come from. At the very least the maps of Lugnica held little understanding to where each person had arrived from. Where do you come from, Shiina?”

There were only four nation states that Maria knew of, and none of the dressings or the mannerisms of those she had met matched any description of these other nations. Perhaps there were other lands that no one had ventured to where these people came from? The world was said to end at the Great Waterfall, but even then it was not certain and there was reasonable evidence to suggest the world was round, but this information has been mostly suggested to be the dribblings of scholars who’ve had one too many.

“Though I might be a stranger, I do wish to help those in need. Do not be shy,” Maria said with a smile upon her face. Though she had been defeated as a person only yesterday, she could not ignore the strifes of those around her. Being a rolling stone might mean you don’t accumulate moss, but the world would be boring if everyone avoided creating ties with others. “Humanity” was more kind than that, no?

That was about the time where Maria heard a certain sound. It came out of nowhere, but it was abrupt enough to remind her of herself, if only a moment. There were times that Maria would force herself into working hard that she would collapse from hunger in her trainings. Perhaps she was not the best teacher, but she did try her best as a student to learn the style of swordsmanship her adopted father was proud of and to live her best to match the Hohenzollern name.

With a cough to try and dispel any sort of awkward feelings that might have been lingering from her “outburst”, Maria spoke.

“Eh hem. I am sorry for my outburst. Though I don’t really know what this … ‘Baumkuchen cakie”, was it? Not really sure what sort of meal that might be, but if you want I would be willing to pay for a meal in the city if you are hungry. I am not so heartless to let you starve yourself.”

@Zelosse

“Ah I see you have arrived, friend. Just as I had been told by my Fair Lady, you have arrived. Your ‘love’ must be grand if the Fair Lady wished for you to meet with a Bishop of my calibre.

It could not have been anything less than a simple house in the middle of the city. Something so simple, inconspicuous, and perhaps even dreary. Surely not the sort of place you’d expect to see a Bishop of the Witch. Perhaps that was why it worked out as a hideout.

It was decorated, designed, and constructed as if a layman home. Perhaps some farm that produced local groceries or something akin to that.It was a bit out of the way from most roads in the city, and was a bit difficult to travel to under normal circumstances. One wouldn’t just “pass by” the area unless they strictly had business in this section of the city.

Sitting in the living room table was Chastity. Perhaps he didn’t seem too out of place in the simple area, but his personality was too eccentric to be a workman. Of course, he seemed to carry himself with some sort of dignity, but his crazed obsession would not allow him to be a “simple man”. There must have been a reason why he was chosen as a Bishop over any other individual in the entirety of the world. And that was because …

“Fear not about anyone hearing you. This place is so isolated that it would not be untrue to state this place to be deserted. Not only that, but in the event we were discovered, I have a few of my “friends” around to call out anyone coming, and there are a few paths underground that lead out of the city.”

Chastity was not the sort of man who didn’t plan ahead. Even with his Authority, of which was one to rule all of the world, But he was not the one to sit in the throne. It was decided long ago, when he had made his deal, that “She” would be the one on the throne.

“But enough about me. I want to know more about you. More specifically, why my Fair Lady has gained an interest in you. Perhaps you were made to be like me? But then where is your gospel? Ahh, it is confusing. I don’t like confusing things, so I figured you could clarify it with me, seeing as we are friends, right?”

“Well I suppose none of that is too important. I simply am glad to have gotten an ally who enjoys disarray as much as I do.”
<Snipped quote by Lucius Cypher>

On the other hand, barging in and seeing her face might give him the courage to ask if she was serious or not about needing a good man for the night. Hah.

@Claw2k11

More or less. Can't say I've ever seen lightning used in either the anime series or mentioned in the light novels, so I have no idea what the possibility for it is. Sometimes I think that Lightning is more associated with wind then fire, or possibly even water if you want to associate lightning with clouds. But I'm not denying it either, so let's just say that once you get to that point IC, I will decide if it's doable or not.

The only lightning ability used in the series is a blessing from a champion of another nation.
@Lucius Cypher

Wait, so will my character be able to use lightning in the future?

Also, I suppose my character will be able to materialize fire, correct? I mean, I doubt you find fire as easily as you find earth, so a fire user would be more used to materialize fire rather than manipulate it. He would still be able to manipulate it, but it would be easier for him to materialize it than to search for a fire source to use.

Sorry if I don't make sense, it's 2 A.M and this is the second night in a row I have not been able to sleep...

Think of fire as "Making fire but instead of fuel to light my fire I just use mana as a fuel source"

At least you aren't discriminating against the Bishoujo. Otherwise I would have to use this clip:

My review for: Alexander Sky

Gender

Male, Bisexual.

Don’t think that “Gender” is “Sexuality. You should probably just explain that in the personality section or in the likes section.

Divine Protection

Blessing of Investigation - Alexander's eyes can see, and see through all magical illusions, effects, blessings, curses and even alterations, as well as detect what kinds of Magic, Divine Protection, or Authority have been used or is being cast. The drawback to this, however, is that Alexander's eyes cannot be healed by magic, or can they be strengthened, weakened, or otherwise influenced by supernatural powers. The rest of his body, however, can be attacked just as fine…

So basically he can “see” that “something is happening” in regards to magics, and if it is an illusion he is able to see past it? I’m alright with magical abilities, but things like divine protections and authorities are off limits in terms of “understanding how they work” or “Understanding what they do”, but I would allow you to “understand they exist” if you see them in action in the sense that “You can sense something that is inhuman”, if that makes sense.

..and that was when he found the mystery that would satisfy him - the mysterious disapperances of people around the globe, disapperances yet unexplained

I don’t see, logically, how he would be able to make the jump that somehow the disappearances in the Americas would have barring on the disappearances in other places where the characters are from. It seems like a huge logical leap. What are the connections? People suddenly vanishing? Because though there have been an influx of people recently, according to the latter sections of your biography you have been in Lugnica for some time now.

But while investigating the disapperances, Alexander was drawn to 'evidence' that pointed towards a connection with the occult, and as said evidence mounted, and was shortly dismissed by skeptical professors and police personnel as 'a hoax', Alexander changed his majors from criminology and investigation to 'mythology and history', with side-specializations in the history of the occult, cults, and deciptions of magic in both pop culture and traditional stories.

I don’t think there is an outside force within the confines of the “Earth” that would lead anyone to suspect occult findings. It seems to be a huge logical leap here. People go missing all the time, but there should not be a large enough missing persons report from the time you went missing according to your profile, as well as the glaring fact that there should be hardly any connections between the cases, as they are isolated, few in number, and should not carry the same traits as each other, aside from sudden disappearance.

Chemistry was also another passion, although Alex was only able to memoize the formula for gunpowder by heart.

Well I feel that if his only skill would be the memorization of the gunpowder components he is probably a terrible chemist. From a Chemist. It would also be a strange choice to study, but I mean I won’t really question it aside from the fact I feel it is simply tagged on to give your character potential towards constructing simple bombs and guns. Note that the metallurgy of the world should not be able to make anything sophisticated.

Get up... he would hear, A God commands you. Continue your quest; find a way to return those who didn't want to go.

Who told you this? What sort of force wants to return those who have arrived? I don’t see any reason that there would exist an NPC in the world, god or otherwise, that understands the confines of the “other world”, bar Satella, in the canon.

to return 'the missing' back to Earth, though only if they want to, of course.

I am fine if he wants to find a way to get back to his original home along with those who would want to go, but I don’t really like the “divine mandate” idea you have going on here, considering that my previous point should still stand.

My review for: Myst Neumann

Gender

Male, Bisexual.

Don’t think that “Gender” is “Sexuality. You should probably just ex… Wait I said this already.

For one day, he made a chance remark criticizing the kingdom's treatment of Elves, which reached the ears of those jealous of him and who wanted to take him down a peg.

Equality of peoples has been in Lugnica after the civil war 50 years ago, though the discrimination on the personal level has existed for years. Institutionalized discrimination has long not been the practice of Lugnica. That doesn’t mean that personal discrimination exists, but the royal family signed a constitution to prevent more civil unrest with the ever-looming threat of the Witch.

There, he began delving into the other side of Water Magic, the side that twisted life and healing into blood and mutation.

Know that water magic needs to influence through touch, like all magicks, and someone can dispel “Blood magic” through diluting your influence with their own mana. But against people who hardly know how to control their mana, it should still work. And if someone is weakened, since mana directly correlates to “life energy”, this “barrier” should subside.

And, as he prepared to make his move, Myst began hearing rumors, rumors of people from another world entirely, rumors of people who spoke of a world called 'Earth'. And an obsession rose within him, an obsession to control first Lugnica, then the rest of his world, then the universe that those 'Earthfolk' came from. But he was going to need help, he was going to need those who would aid him.

I mean, there would be no proof that a planet called “earth” exists, so I am not sure why your character would believe it would like some sort of Shangri-la or Shambhala or Ys or … well I think you get the point. Unless he just believes that some fairy-tale land exists that he had heard of from … “people”, I suppose. Though I am not sure how such rumors have spread so rapidly. Just considering it from a rational perspective. Even if this is a series based on a light novel that includes a flying whale, people who worship dragons [fucking pagans], and a witch that can rip through dimensions, I still feel such rationalizations are to be expected.

Maria von Hohenzollern

Royal Capital Lugnica

@liferusher

Impossible. What had happened last night was something that Maria could hardly comprehend herself, but she knew the events had “occurred’. There was a part of Maria, childish and youthful, that wished to believe the events of the previous night to be nothing more than a terrible dream, but such escapism would not solve any of the issues she had been faced with.

Knights were expected to die. Well, perhaps not quite “expected”, but rather they existed to protect their lord, and the people whom their lord lords over. From the highest governmental position to the basic farmer, those Maria was tasked to protect would be protected if she was given the ability, but she had been unsuccessful in subduing the “man of the golden blade”.

The blade was a strange object. Maria felt something … painful. Something alive within the blade when she had touched it, trying to worm its way into her subconscious and take over her body. Maria was stronger in terms of mental fortification compared to others, and thus the vain attempts held little effect upon her mentality. However, the blade did try to reject Maria, and she had been separated from the blade.

She had lost most of her recollection of what had happened after she had the blade taken from her, but she presumed for whatever reason the “man with the golden blade” had allowed her to leave.

But those who died…

Perhaps where she was now was a form of purgatory? At the very least, it appeared that she had figured out, in her confusion, a means to get back to her room and fall asleep. She had slept in her armor. Something she had not done in a long time.

Maria was afraid She could never forget what she had done. Her inability and lack of strength;. they were ingrained upon her body. Her failure had caused the death of two of her most trusted allies, along with countless civilians. Their lives would be taken from the world, forgotten to the sands of time and left to antiquity. But Maria knew who they were. She would have to carry their weight around with her for as long as she lived.

Exiting her quarters and entering the connecting room that was her office, Maria saw someone who she didn’t recognize.

Another individual with strange clothing … it appeared there was an influx of foreigners recently in this city.

Of course, as the Knightess Captain of this branch, Maria could not allow herself to be lowed in from of another. As much as she wanted to cry for those who were lost, she knew that there would be nothing to gain of it. Of course, if given a bit of provocation, she could have broken, but she understood her duties as a knight.

Clearing her throat, Maria spoke to the girl.

“Uh hum. I am sorry for the delay for our meeting. I am the Knightess Captain of this branch. I had been told that you had arrived in the castle and that you wished to meet with me. I shall give you the time you wish now, though might I ask who you are?”

Could she even call herself a knight at this point? She had to. It was her job, but she had failed to protect what was before her. She was a failure of a knight in the standards she had set for herself. But to those around her, she could not break down. To her own psyche she could not break down, lest she forget who she was.

“I am Maria von Hohenzollern, heiress to the Hohenzollern household and Commander of the Iron Bell Knights. If there is anything you would need, please do not hesitate to ask.”

Even though it was but an introduction, her melancholic undertone was still apparent in such a basic speech. It wasn't much different than those she had given to another set of new arrivals into this city.

Was her base just a hub for new travellers? Was she just doomed to constantly meet strange people? Truly this has been a roundabout path.

Chastity

Royal Capital Lugnica

@Zelosse

Chastity was a strange existence. His appearance would mark the end of any actions done by those who would find him, and his ability to hide himself within the cracks of society from those who would wish to identify him was one of his greatest skills.

He was, after all, a master of disguise.

Systematically he would eliminate anyone who had discovered his face, but thankfully to his recollection there was no one who was able to have seen his face. He had defeated the elf-knightess with ease and without her having discerned his position, considering how effortlessly he had eliminated her.

Those who were against his Fair Lady’s plans would have to be killed, regardless of who they were.

Someone who didn’t truly “exist” in the world, being simply an agent of chaos as an acolyte of the Witches. Perhaps the world would have been better if he was never born. The position of the Bishopric was something that existed to cause troubles for all. However, even if this “Chastity” didn’t exist, the position would be filled. So long as his power, the Authority given to him by his Beloved Lady existed in this world, the world would be worse off. But the synergy between this rendition of the “Chastity” title’s claimant and his authority, the world would be worse off.

There was a time long ago where the rage that existed in his heart was never formed, but his hatred of this abhorrent kingdom, the Kingdom of Lugnica, and the corrupted bastions who are herald as it’s bulwarks and heroes were nothing but disgusting people who should be eliminated for their transgressions. His madness stems from a certain point where his mind refuses to remember, but a feeling that his body would not forget.

The room he sat in was very simple in construction, perhaps looking as if the house of a laborer or perhaps even something as simple as a farm worker. Though his dress was definitely more than that of a commoner, his appearance being rather staunch and perhaps his features being rather handsome. His dresses were clearly made from the nicest textiles and dyes the area had to offer.

To pass the time he would smoke to himself, taking his time methodically with his recreation.

He couldn’t leave the city. With news of dead knights and the perpetrators not being captured, there was sure to be blockades on all major highways. Not that his face had anything to hide. But if that Knightess who had survived was at one of the checkpoints, he would not be able to leave with his newly found friend. He had given the knowledge of this hideout in the city to his friend, and he would await for his arrival. There was also the issue of concealing the sword, but he had plans.
