"Thanks. Thank you," "I... I really appreciate it."
He made an attempt at a small smile when she thanked him, but it turned into him blinking a few times before rubbing the back of his head. A little uncomfortable... as it has been a while since someone said thank you to him. The last few times where it was warranted...it didn't turn out as well. But this time... he knew it was genuine, it felt, Refreshing. Memories of his days in Iraq, handing out food to a group of people he was ordered to protect. Reminding him one of the reasons he joined the military.
But before he could say anything a scream came from outside. He couldn't hear what was said, but as they moved to the front, Kat surprising him with her speed of getting in front of him. He held his FN Scar in both hands as he made his way just behind her to the front of the house. Glancing around he saw Walter with yet another girl. Jason didn't believe in coincidences, and with so many people meeting strangers within such a short time was strange indeed. Nikki had some of the survivors of the original group throwing debris in the way, she already managed to do quite a few things, but the Walkers were closer now because of it.
"Where do we go?" Kat asked, looking at both Ethan and he for answers. He looked at Ethan and said, "We stick with the plan Ethan said last night. Continue south till San Clemente. We will figure out something later." Meaning he will inform them of the potential safe place they could go. The Aircraft Carrier.
He then moved away and closer to Nikki "Nikki! Good Idea, but it's only going to hold them for a moment, They will move around it soon enough." he said motioning to the trees. Looking back to Ethan "Ethan! Take your group and just Go! I'll distract them while you all get a good head start. Ill catch up." He then went to a car that had it's trunk open. Shifting his FN SCAR behind him as it hung on it's strap he pulled out a rusted lug breaker bar, intending to make some noise to draw the horde's attention. If he was quick enough he would move around cars and buildings to try and slow them down by forcing them into a Z pattern. The idea was of course Extremely stupid and dangerous. But he survived Salt lake city doing a similar thing.
