@Kyrisse I think it's not just your post, but a few posts lumped together. Yours just got brought up as an example (Partially due to typos, partially due to the different times between your post and the next person's post).

You posted with Audrianna at 7am making breakfast, and the next post mentioned it was 11am. So Harley and Grayson and a few others are running around at 11am while we're posting and interacting at 7am. I can see how it'd be confusing.

And... rereading your post, clearly you already noticed that.

There is, in fact, a reason that I keep things vague and don't bother with time other than a generic: "Day X: <morning, noon, afternoon, evening, night>" sort of scheme.
this is actually a good idea. I will follow this scheme from now on.

But of course. I dislike specifics, they're so... final. Not as much wriggle room for interesting events.

Also, since I'm terrible at collaboration and synchronized effort (which would require a lot of strictness, organization and Wick running a remarkably (probably suffocating-ly) tight ship) I prefer keeping times vague-ish.

I mean, imagine how much effort it would take to make sure everyone was making posts for 7am at the same time. And to arrange all our IC posts in chronological order!

The horror!

Also, our posts would be backed up until the end of time, even if we were chained to our desks and didn't need to work or eat or sleep.

Still doesn't explain why the post jumped back an hour and a half from where it first started. Or why the next post is set even earlier.
I don't know if I can keep up if the timeline is going to be this confusing.
I'm a little confused too. Not so much by the twisty timelines, but about what to explain, how to explain it, and what specifically you are looking for (I can kinda think of a few things you want to know or might want explained).

@Aeternum

I caught her typo too but she corrected it later in the post.

Did she? Hm... I see, I didn't even notice the typo earlier :P

I kinda skim posts and only look at the time if it's relevant to my own postings XD

(i.e. they responded to me at 7am, it is morning when I make a response. Therefore, if we're having a meal it's probably breakfast and people are sleepy. Unless there are a lot of people who don't sleep in, there probably aren't going to be too many people in the cafeteria. If it's noon, there'd be a lot of people, probably almost everyone.)

Yeah, but some people are on completely different times it looks like, and it seems to move really fast. Like in this post it was 8:00 AM on day 6, but then in the same post it was simultaneously 10:30 PM the previous day and 7:00 AM the previous day. Then, in the next post, it's 6:11 on day 6. So we've gone back and forward in time no less than 4 times in the span of just 2 posts. And it just gets crazier from there. How the hell are you supposed to interact with anyone? Are we even in the same reality? I don't get this system at all.

Oh, I think Kyrisse might have mislabeled that 7am post involving Robert. Robert was passed out and didn't leave his room until Day 6, pretty much.

Technically it should have been in chronological order, I'm pretty sure. 8am on Day 5, then 10pm on Day 5, then 7am on Day 6.

It's not simultaneous, it's just a way around making three posts instead of one, I suppose you could say. I think Kyrisse was behind on her interactions, and was just trying to wrap them up super quick.

As for the time on the next post, it's supposed to be 11am on Day 6.

Anyways, as was mentioned before, some of us are kinda doing catch up posts so it's a bit like a flashback.

Some of us kinda missed the bus to the next day or time. (For example, I was late on my post for the timeskip from day 2 to the morning of day 5.) Since we missed the bus and the rest of the tour group is going on, we jump on the next bus we can catch and rush through everything until we catch up to the rest of the tour group.

There is, in fact, a reason that I keep things vague and don't bother with time other than a generic: "Day X: <morning, noon, afternoon, evening, night>" sort of scheme.

I'm not organized enough for specifics, and I don't want to break my brain trying to figure out proper timelines XD

Day 5, 7:00 AM

Interacting with: @Aeternum

It was nice seeing people with a healthy glow for once. The roasted pork Audrianna had served the night before had definitely lifted everyone's mood and she could only hope that it'd be that good every day. She looked at the remaining meat from the night before and was sure that everyone wouldn't mind eating it again this morning. Maybe a good sauce to go with the meat? She nodded to herself and then went into the kitchen to fix something up before people started filing in for the morning. A few minutes later and she was carrying out a bowl of brown gravy she made using a piece of the pork, some soy sauce she had been saving up and a few spices. She would have loved to make some bread to go with the pork but she didn't have any ingredients to make some.

Oh hey @Kyrisse, I just realized, this probably should have been Day 6 rather than Day 5. Thank @Oliver for that, if I'm right.
@Oliver Oooh, me too! me too!

It's why I've always been more comfortable with people younger than me by a couple of years.

People are people, some 15 year olds are super immature, some 7 years olds are wise beyond their years. Age is but a number. Some of it's also due to the place you grew up and culture/expectations, so. Whatever!
Oops, Sorry @Oliver!

@Wick I actually wondered if it was based on my image, but then realized that the picture I used could never even be mistaken for a twenty year old much less a forty year old person :P

I am okay with exceptions, they can make things all sorts of interesting! Hey wait, if no other 10 year old survived... oho... Then little Levi is something special ain't he. I need to check what his powers are again. Ooooh, the poison immunity could work for that. Hehe.

I dunno if he'd be much of a buddy. Robert's anti-social, and unlike me, he doesn't have a chatterbox manic mode!
@WickYuppers, I'm a little hurt though XD

You said I couldn't create anything younger than 15 or older than 40 XD
Rude!
Unfair!

I'm gonna tattle on you to someone!

Messing with who? I don't know what you're talking about, no sirree! You be talking crazay talk.
@AeternumLol nah you are okay. You don't make me nuts. It takes a pretty good amount to make me nuts. And yes Robert is awkward but that might be partly because you and Oliver have the only kids in the rp.

@Oliver You should start him in the cafeteria and have him sit down with Robert. He is only 6 months in age different than your boy is.

Oh you'll regret that. I'm a rebel, I push them boundaries! You're supposed to lie and say I drive you up the wall! It's reverse psychology!

...or something...

Details!

Robert's not a kid! He's a strong independent 15 year old who needs no adult!
(Proudly declared as, in the background, he buries his head in a toilet bowl due to the "flu.")

Actually, Robert's 15, and Levi is 10. That's 5 years, rather than 6 months.

Like I said, I don't have a problem with eliminating players from the game, given that they were honestly causing problems.
But even then, it would be nice for the GM to notify the player of why they're being kicked instead of just offing their character and telling them to "leave". Even if that person is just a pointless troll, but ESPECIALLY if there is any chance that the person might honestly not know what they're doing wrong.
Believe me, that doesn't mean the GMs have to be eternally patient, but is it really too hard to let people know the reason they're being demanded to forfeit?

Yup, notification would always be nice, as well as an explanation. (i.e. This is how you screwed up. This is when I warned you. This is when you did it again. Therefore, die.)

I'm 'bout to squee from the badassery, I'm sure. So gruff and stoic or something :P

And nope, it's not too hard. At the very least, it shouldn't be.

Tbh, I was pretty sure it wasn't meant that way, at least as far as @Wick goes. After all, Dragon Lady hasn't bitten my head off yet, and I've been making things lively in ways you really, really shouldn't. Or maybe more like, lighting tempers on fire and running in case the fireworks go off.

(I wish. That'd be all sorts of interesting, it's more like I mouth off like a little kid and then get sat on and put in time out. Dragon Lady Wick probably just sighs, rolls her eyes, massages her temples and then possibly goes to get a glass of wine as I whine :P)

On another note...

Man Robert... so awkward. I know I'm awkward too, but Robert... man...
Robert Moore
Day 6:Morning

"Uh, thanks." Robert mumbled.

Six days!? He wasn't sure he remembered anything after the second day. How long had he been out, and this only raised more questions about when he'd last eaten.

Robert glanced at the plate she was loading up, and tried to determine if he should say anything.

With the way he was feeling, he wasn't sure he'd be able to stomach the food. Honestly, he'd been looking for something lighter, and more easily digestible, like soup. This food, on the other hand, was heavy. He'd actually been thinking of slipping directly into the kitchen area and attempting to fix something up for himself. In the end, he couldn't decide before she'd handed him the plate and then a peach too.

"Oh, uh, thanks. Um... for the food."

He wondered if he should ask. Who was Jae? Maybe Jae was one of the cooks? He wasn't sure. After a moment he realized he'd taken too long to think it through, and felt as if things had gotten awkward. It was time to retreat.

"Please tell Jae 'thanks' for me too."

Robert managed a smile at her and found a corner to put down the peach and the plate. It was slow going, as he swayed a little on his feet. He made a second trip to retrieve a fork, a knife, and some napkins. Maybe if he cut it into really tiny pieces, it'd be okay. He stared at the food in front of him, and picked at it and poked at it. He really wasn't feeling all that well. In fact, he already felt like emptying his stomach, and he hadn't even eaten a bite yet.

The food smelled good, but something about it made his stomach revolt. At least, he thought it might be that it was revolting. He wasn't sure if it was that his hunger was causing his stomach to try to jump up his throat and grab the food, or if it was that his stomach was trying to escape.

He steeled himself and cut off a thin slice of meat, and popped it into his mouth. He let it sit on his tongue for a bit, chewed and then finally swallowed it. After a minute or two, he found he didn't need to rush for the restroom, and decided that it might be fine to keep going. He was starving.

He winced a little at the loud voices near him. His head was pounding, and he was thirsty. His eyes searched around for the water bottles, and was about to get up and retrieve one, when he suddenly processed that someone had said something to him. Right, it was the Asian man.

"Oh, uh... yeah, thanks." He mumbled, but he had already missed his chance to really respond. The man was already talking to another.

Smooth one Robert, smoooth.

He slowly shook his head. It felt like it would be rude if he just got up and left even if it was to retrieve some water. He eyed the peach. Maybe he'd try that. He hoped it was juicy enough to quench his thirst. At the very least, it would give him a moment or two before he went to get some water. At least leaving wouldn't seem so abrupt, he hoped.

He nibbled at the peach and chewed carefully. He still felt fine after a pause, so he nibbled a bit more until the sweet juices started to rush into his mouth. It wasn't quite as sweet as he expected, and the taste and texture felt somewhat different from the peaches he remembered. Then again, for the last year, the only peaches anyone got to eat was the canned kind. It was odd, but pretty good.

After a minute or two, the sweetness was starting to get a little overwhelming, and so was the saltiness of the pork. It wasn't that it was too salty, exactly, it was more like, he really wanted some water. He put down the peach, wiped his fingers with a napkin, and then went straight for the water.
