Bio

I enjoy a good story! Even more so if it's intriguing enough to suck me right into it, as though I were there alongside the characters. I've been through a wide range of characters over the years and often if I am joining a story I'll ask around as to what the others feel they are missing in the story character wise and develop one to fill in any gaps.

OOC chatter is good too if people aren't in the mood to be in character, right? Writing is based off a lot of things and how people are feeling at a particular time can impact their IC writing drastically. Some people prefer planning certain things out OOC and I'm ok with that also.

I guess I'd say I'm very opened minded. Always encouraging newer writers to just start writing. Details or the etiquette of their writing doesn't really matter much to me! only that they are getting it out.

I'm open to writing for a wide range of genres, but I will specify this though! I live in reality, so I do not enjoy writing about it. Mostly fantasy and anything that does not feel too real.

I'm a fantasy writer at heart though, and I enjoy planning out worlds to base novels and stories in ahead of time, so that when I am ready, I can just focus on the story writing while not having to worry about how anything in particular will fit into the world or worlds the story is set in. Probably one of the downsides to this preference is that world building can take a long time!

She's one of my Wild Sprites. She has to be able to use all four of them, but we'll tone her power levels down a bit to say novice level perhaps even lower since Earth's elemental energies would feel different to what she is used to. It isn't her homeland which is surrounded by pure elemental energies after all, so naturally she would not be at full strength until she develops a little more or adapts to planet Earth.

Deuce was a member of one of the Elemental clans so he only exhibited a connection to one Element.

Bumpity
here are a few excerpts from my early writings of the novel to show an example of how the elemental energies are used on Sentrance.

Excerpt 1: Akarious’s voice was a whisper as he replied with pause“...I merely did what my clan leader ordered”
“Ordered? You didn’t have to attack them, you could have refused” Telvaxious’s eyes burned with hatred “Enough of this”
The ground rumbled at his feet, as he broke several large stones from the cliff face behind him then altered their shapes into large spikes “Enough” he growled once more as the earthen spikes careened towards Akarious’ communication orb. They slammed into the orb and a few moments later several spikes erupted from the ground beneath the hovering orb and finally a large slab of rock crumbled down from above and completely encased the orb.
“You old fool” were the only words to escape the earthen tomb surrounding the orb before it vanished. Telvaxious spat on the ground as he turned his back on the orb and slowly made his way down the cliff towards the camp. Akarious had only opened a link to contact him, a simple feat for any of the elder elementals but none the less, there had been a feeling of some satisfaction in destroying the orb just as though he had destroyed a piece of the Fire Elemental’s clan.

Excerpt 2: The large cat like form of Silveria, the leader of the Water Elemental Clan paced back and forth in the center of the river as she curiously watched the green light fade away to nothing once more “What was that?” she muttered to herself before turning to her followers. Torrents of water swirled beneath her paws as she approached the waiting clan. “There’s a large water fall further up the river that will lead us right to a lake below the earth clan’s current encampment according to Vehltaria’s scouts,” she informed the clan raising her paw. A column of water slowly rose out of the river and soon after, a whirlwind of breeze seemed to stir out of all directions as it spiraled around the top of the water column and a pair of white orbs manifested within the small cyclone as it danced on top of Silveria’s column.
“Vehltaria, we will soon be in position to climb the water fall. What’s the status of the Earthen Clan?” She asked as she met the glance of the Air Elementals’ clan leader.

Excerpt 3 Brilliant shades of blue erupted about her as if she would explode as she thought of the day when she would actually see the great Genaceous in full manifestation and they could finally talk face to face. Amidst all of her excitement, the shallow pools around her had frozen solid in response to the release of her elemental energies without her realizing it and Genaceous chuckled once more
“See Daedra; see what you have done to the pools of water that you were gazing into earlier!”
As she turned and saw the frozen pools she squealed with delight “Wow, I really did that didn’t I?”

Excerpt 4: An eerie stillness had encompassed the earth clan encampment as the night dwindled and another moon waned behind the next thus signaling the night would soon come to an end. A host of gentle gusts of breeze had been pulsating downward for most of the night and continued to encircle the entire camp as the lullaby of the night held even the most restless minds at peace in their slumbering.
Deuce had long since fell asleep on the same ledge Telvaxious had retreated from earlier. Now the camp lay slumbering, from the youngest of clan members to the elders themselves.

Hope they help a bit

hmmm lets see. Well the elemental energies of her homelnds are Earth, Fire Wind and water. Given her race as a Wild sprite she can use them all at an equal strength. the elemental beast counterparts of Sentrance mostly use their own elemental energy. like an earth elemental beast would only use earth skills like rock spikes, shield walls of earth things like that. or a flame elemental would use fireballs and things liek that. A Wild sprite can use all of the elements at equal strength based on their current level of training. Dayna is comparable to say a mid level mage. At least on Sentrance anyway.

She could freeze a pool or small body of water, or rip apart and unearth rocks then alter their shape and use them as projectiles. Throw fire balls or set things on fire, and use wind as a weapon or to deflect projectiles. things like that. So all in all, a well rounded elementalist, but not super powerful in any specific element. It all uses up her elemental energy reservoir though: comparable to a typical mage's mana supply. But unlike say a fire elemental, she can tap into all forms of elemental energy. planet Earth's energies may feel slightly different than her homelands. perhaps she might not be as powerful at first unil she gets familliar with the ebb and flow of earths elemental energy forms.

so what say you all? will it work?
Sos' new CS sheet here for your considerations. Let me know if it fits
Dimitri had been hastily tossed a robe to cover himself, but not before drawing a few nervous, shifty eyed glances from the female staff member who had walked in on him as he stared into the only mirror in the quaint hospital like room he had awoken in.

she cleared her throat as he drew the robe tight around his waist
"Uh sir"
he threw up his hand top stop her mid sentence
"Please, sir makes me feel terribly old dear, Dimitri is fine" he interjected with a smile.
"Well OK then Dimitri, As I was saying, this is an infirmary. The search team found you close to a thousand feet below the ruins.
"What of the girl I was with? green eyes, red hair, solid build, littered with chain-mail. She should have been with me!"

She shifted nervously from side to side "I'm sorry...But I'm just a nurse. I have no information about the girl right now. There's a meeting in the conference room though. I could take you there if your up for a little walk. Perhaps they will have more information for you."
The monk's eyes narrowed suspiciously for a moment as he considered her carefully before letting out a long sigh.
"So no one's coming to interrogate me? Torture me for information?"
She shook her head, a bit unsure if the towering monk was serious or not. "At least, Not that I know of anyway"
"How disappointing!" he commented, with a smile in his voice.

Dimitri tapped his chin thoughtfully then continued after a long pause.
"Very well then! I'm not going to twist your arm for more information. Please lead the way to this meeting." He finished, air quoting the last words.

The nurse quickly exited the room without further words and Dimitri had to almost jog to catch up with her.
The facility was a labyrinth of hallways and corridors but after a while they reached the heavy double doors that lead to the conference room in which the meeting was being held.
the nurse pointed to the doors and with a slight smile as her eyes ran over Dimitri's body one last time, she made her escape.

All eyes seemed to fall on the towering monk and his hospital robe as he quietly slipped into the room then found himself a seat.
Name: Dayna

Age: Unknown

Gender: Female

Species: Wild Elemental Sprite

World of Origin:

Appearance: Although most wild sprites tend to remain in wisp form, They do have the ability to change their form and manifest in an elemental beast form whenever they see fit while still maintaining an equal balance of strength between all the elemental energies of Sentrance; Earth, Fire Wind, and Water. Dayna is seen mostly as a pulsating glowing ball of blue energy. Just like the other races of Sentrance, Dayna exhibits two concentrated orbs of light that serve as eyes. Her's are an emerald green in color and it is this specific shade of green suggests she has been marked by Genacious.

Abilities and skills: Ability to manipulate all four elemental energies, shape shifting capabilities.

Strengths and Weaknesses: Being a ball of energy herself, Dayna is very sensitive to other forms of energy, and strangely in tune with the emotions of others. On the other side of the coin though, this leaves her supsceptable to forms of energy leeching or draining. Although Dayna can use all of the elemental energies at equal strength, she was still being trained to control them before entering the rift. She would be comparable to a mid level mage as far as strength right now. Enough to do some damage, but not as strong as a more developed Elemental Sprite. Some of her stronger skills would be executed with mixed results, sometimes successful, sometimes not. On rare occasions strong spikes would equal more devastating attacks. Dayna is unable to alter her form much at this stage of her training. She is able to alter it enough to say materialize and arm or two, some fingers etc. but is constantly seeking and training to be able to manifest as an elemental beast.

Equipment Requests: None

History: Since she was merely a spark, Dayna has been very close to Genacious, the Guardian of Life on Sentrance. Once she was matured enough, Genacious introduced her to Deuce, a local Elemental Earth Clan member. The two have been trained by Genacious' hands and are marked by the Guardian of Life to fulfill great things.

Personality: The Wild Sprites of Sentrance have very explosive personalities and generally live a solitary life. They are formidable opponents should one pick a fight with them and most often the wild sprite will leave the fight with little injuries. They do not focus on war so they are always neutral when it comes to other wild sprites and their respective elemental clan counterparts. Dayna is an exception as she has been marked by Genacious himself. she is fiercly loyal to those she is close to. Dayna is kindred spirits to a member of one of the Earth Elemental clans of Sentrance and up until the rift, the two have been inseparable. A very unique relationship by Sentrance standards. She has a very curious and determined nature and shows little fear.
Well I've got an idea for an RP that revolves around elemental beasts. I'm thinking a casual RP so there isn't too much pressure on the post lengths and such. Here's a brief write up to see if anyone would be interested. Feel free to ask me some questions.

Sentrance is an elemental plane, not that different from earth in regards to nature and the environment. It has four seasons that cycle just like earth has. For countless cycles the inhabitants of Sentrance, known as Sentenials (Sen-ten-ial) have been locked in wars between the various elemental clans; Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water. No one seems to recall when or why the conflicts first arose, and many of the clans are slowly but surely becoming war wary.

Rumors have begun to spread across the clans that a rogue band of elders have joined together from every clan and isolated themselves from the general population. They have discovered a new source of energy known as magic, but little is known about the actual details. Life and Death magic exist as a separate form of energy in comparison to the Elemental energies that all of Sentrance have access too. These two newly discovered magics are extremely potent and dangerous.

After a brief period without battle between the four clans, the Air and Water clans decided to join forces and assault the Earth clan. The leader of the fire elementals Akarious attempted to contact Talvaxious when news of the planned attack on the earth clan reached him. However, due to a violent history between The earth and fire elementals the earth elemental leader refused to heed Akarious's warnings.

The first portion of the battle was devastating for the three clans initially engaged in the battle but in the end it was the earth elementals that took the largest amount of casualties before Akarious and his clan joined the reluctant earth elementals. By the conclusion of the battle, all four clans experienced heavy casualties.

Due to an unexplained absence of the Death Guardian, Genacious the guardian of life has been unable to generate new elemental sparks for Sentrance because the cycle of life and death are currently unbalanced. This means that whatever is left of the four clans can not be replenished for now and their populations are at an all time low. The first chapter of our story will take place quite a while after the last war.

Dimitri and Dzel Then

The tunnels were dark, a series of corners and cross sections. It was an elaborate escape route for anyone that knew the way. That of course excluded Dzel and Dimitri. The rumbling protests of the avalanche outside echoed eerily within the tunnels making it seem like a thousand creatures were growling with discontent.

Dimitri stopped short suddenly as he felt a strange, unnatural energy ripple far above them and was soon met with Dzel’s solid body as she slammed into his back forcing the two of them to the tunnel floor in a tangled heap. He rolled over underneath her with a smile and they were nose to nose for a moment as her armored chest met his solid frame. “My my Dzel, is now really an appropriate time for this?” he queried with a grin before pivoting his head to the right. and nodded “Let's go that way? or we could just stay like this, it’s your call! Though I must admit, this armour of yours is far from comfortable!”

The sliding chainmail was the only sound for a moment as the avalanche above finally hushed. Dzel imagined the thick blanket of snow settling over the ruins, tucked in like a child before bed.
She stared down at Dimitri with her bright green eyes, curiously. She wasn't quite sure what he meant, but was quite sure he meant no harm, and even quite certain that she didn't mind.
“I don't know the way” she admitted.

Resisting the urge to continue laying there and perhaps a little reluctantly Dimiri spared a long glance into her green eyes then shuffled himself into a sitting position as she lay across his stomach, not entirely sure of what Dzel was thinking at that moment.
“Seems I don’t know the way either, but let's head down this way and hopefully we’ll find something or someone.” He glanced around the tunnel and listened for sounds of any footsteps but could hear nothing. “I guess the avalanche has subsided for now.”

He gently guided her body to the side of him and dragged himself to his feet extending a hand to help Dzel up she paused for a moment then reluctantly took hold of his hand. If it was not so dark in there Dimitri would have given her a smile, but instead, he lifted her to her feet somewhat effortlessly despite the added weight of her armor.

There were many pathways to chose in the depths of these tunnels all darkened now as what remained of the avalanche had filled the exits. Something was urging Dimitri to head down a steep sloping tunnel to the right for now and for lack of a better sense of direction, he followed his instincts. After a long seemingly eternal walk, which Dimitri figured had been about an hour or two he muttered into the darkness “It seems like we’ve been wandering through this darkness for hours” he spoke, a little weary of the darkness.
“Yes but It seems as though the tunnel is growing warmer though” Dzel offered rather distantly. In the brief conversations the two had engaged in thus far, Dimitri had gathered that although Dzel was physically there, her mind seemed as though it was elsewhere. He had grown accustomed to their long periods of silence, but he did manage a smile in the darkness upon hearing her voice once more. “Yeah it does”

At last the darkness of the tunnel began to lift and the monk could see the opening, sighing in relief that it had not been blocked during the avalanche. It was still dark outside and there were signs of a light snow falling outside, but it was nothing compared to before. He looked back at Dzel and chuckled “Seems Lady Luck has finally found us a way out my dear, let us not keep her waiting.”
Dzel furrowed her brows “ Who, or what is Lady Luck?”
“Uhh nevermind!” he answered, gesturing towards the exit of the tunnel.

They emerged on a reasonably flat plateau, a good distance below what was left of the backside of the looming castle. The two treaded lightly at first for fear of being swallowed up by the blankets of snow but soon realized the ground was firm enough and the snow only crunched in protest under the weight of the two warriors, but held its own.

Dimitri stirred his chi, surging it with enough strength that a faint green glow erupted around his body in hopes of reconnecting with the catalysts inset into his one handed mace. He missed it dearly, and suspected that right now he might even miss it more than his flask, but after a moment's thought he shook that thought out of his mind. If he could only connect with the weapon,. It would light up like a beacon that he could track for miles.
************************************************************************************************************************************************

Now

A violent surge of chi then suddenly Dimitri bolted upright! He looked around slightly confused as things slowly began to come into focus once more. The first thing he realized was that he was no longer cold! Infact he was quite cozy, and apparently completely nude under the covers of a bed in a room that reeked of medicinal herbs. There was no feeling of death looming around, no snow gathering about his eyelashes and much to his dismay, there was no Dzel. Yet to make things worse, he was completely sober! “Damn it! where am I, how long have I been out?” he queried out loud. He swung his feet to the floor and threw the covers off of himself, completely unashamed of his nude form then moved cautiously towards the mirrored glass and rapped heavily on it, whilst squinting to see if it was simply just a glass window, or something else.
who is this deuce you're speaking of?

if you miss him all that much, well he is an elemental beast so perhaps he could be from Dimitri's homeworld. Large elemental beasts are quite common in some parts of Temperance!
