A mythbuster is involved. Howe and Howe Technologies are involved. Special effects guys behind Starwars, the Matrix and the Terminator are involved. NASA is involved.
HOWEVER!
Your Giant Robot needs you(r money) in order to punch the Japanese one in the face.
Please consider. Apart from the fact that by donating you can tell your kids/peers that you, personally, helped pave the way for GIANT ROBOT COMBAT there are tons of benefits involved. You can get anything from a sticker to a chance to personally pound a Toyota Prius to scrap (better hurry though, because 16 out of 18 spots are taken).

Lastly, for the mods: No I am not paid for this. I will not spam people to death with adverts. This, to me and a lot of others, is something very special. This is the future, so close by one can almost taste it. We, as a species, are on the precipice to becoming that much more awesome, to accomplishing one more long lasting childhood dream. It may not be as memorable as the moonlanding or as much of a relief as the invention of penicillin, but for so many people this has been and still is a dream come true. The shooting star has passed us by, and now our wish is on the verge of coming true.
