@Jones Sparrow well my sheet either way, I can always make him not pilot
Name: Skorax AKA: 'Kell' Age: 19 Race: Veeraxi
Faction: Marauder (former criminal) Role in Team: Pilot Personality: Skolas is irritable, self confident, underhanded, clever, and occsionally could be called delusional. His time spent as a captain amongst his people before being captured has led him to curse his new position. He is quick to anger and slow to cool off. He believes himself to be extremely important and that no obstacle can stop him, possessed of extreme pride and self confidence to an occasionally annoying or worrying amount. He does things his way, the 'way of his people' and lives by their old tenants faithfully. It does not help that a fair amount of those tenents are rather violent. He restrains himself well enough for fear of death or censure, and because deep down like many of his people Skorax is a coward. He has no qualms with abandoning a venture that has gone to far south and counting his losses, but if pumped up enough he can convince himself there is no such thing as defeat, and will stand till he stops breathing.
Skorax was born much like all Veeraxi, on a ship. The Veeraxi are a piratical race of raiders and mercenaries, most are born amongst the stars. His father, Skraxis, was a Veeraxi cptain or 'Kell' and led a small fleet. Early in his life Skorax was given command of a boarding party, being the youngest son of Skraxis, and therefore never expected to take Kellship from his forebearer. Skorax was not content with this, and led his men on many a daring action in order to earn the favor of his father and stand out amongst his thirty or so siblings. Time and time again Skorax proved his worth, taking many trophies and victories for his Kell and father. Eventually, he was lifted up to be one of his fathers four lieutenants, all of whom were the Kells children. Skraxis was not long for the galaxy though, and perished during a raid not long after.
When a Kell dies, his children will often vie for his position and fight amongst themselves. They skeem, plot and murder one another until a new Kell has secured his throne. After the death of his father the fleet split under the 'rule of four Kells' in which he and his most powerful siblings vied for control. One by one skorax outwitted his foes, tricking his brother Skrixis into a raid only to have his ship crippled and abandoned by the fleet. His sisters, Skrikit and Velsis squabbled between eachother, giving Skorax time to rally his weaker siblings and others in the fleet ti his bannner. He ambushed their ships whilst they fought one another, destroying Skrixis and forcing Velsis to surrender and be taken as a prisoner. With this act, Skorax had claimed the Kellship and took up his fathers armour.
He led his fleet for several fruitful years, before one ill fated encounter with Galactic committee forces. The battle turned sour, and Skorax attempted to flee. But, unkown to Skorax his sister had escaped and had his ship crippled while the rest of the fleet fled. Cursing her name, he turned to try and fight but was overwhelmed. He was declared a criminal against them and found guilty on multiple charges of piracy, murder and theft of committee resources. Rather than die, Skorax declared he would become a member of the expedition force. Skorax became a marauder, and has piloted the Monroe ever since
Weapon(s) :
Family/Relationship: Any of Skorax's family who still live are likely unaware he is not dead, and Veeraxi do not form strong family bonds with those not on their crew Other: - As a Veeraxi, Skorax stands rather tall at Eight foot five inches - All Veeraxi other than the lowest amongst them have four arms, Skorax's are enhanced with cybernetics like most Veeraxi 'Kells' - His mask pumps a concentrated chemical breathed on the Veeraxi Homeworld. Though their lungs can breathe oxygen for a time, Veeraxi weaken when breathing it, and are only at their peak when breathing their own air. The Oxygen will eventually kill a Veeraxi, but it is a relatively slow burn - Veeraxi mature quickly, and tend to live short and brutal lives. Skorax has lived to a fairly rare age, as only Kells make it past about 15 and most never reach 20
This. I don't think anyone needs to die or get maimed really. That probably wouldn't be the aim of anyone in fight- Assuming there actually was an all out melee which is less than likely anyway.
zak wouldn't have 'held' the doorway anyway; the plan was to sandwich Lugft's men between two groups, effectively leaving them trapped in the doorway area/alcove while getting poked at from both sides with spears and as such get them to begrudgingly surrender and agree to leave (I don't think either party would want to kill the other. That would risk a blood feud and war. At worst they would want to capture the other for ransom I imagine.)
weeeeeeeeeell Lugft isn't rational or forgiving... but honestly a fight might not happen at all, I don't know if we need more than a mexican standoff that just sorta ends honestly, especially if we don't need/want anyone to get injured. Lugft came unprepared for a fight with few guards so would probably bluster and threaten before brutally Murdering Talli within earshot/sight of Aery and blaming it on her before angrily leaving to get new brides (See:Nadia/Amalia and such)
@Vesuvius00 lol probably either brand over it, or use it as a trophy that he got someone else's bride xD But yea I'm with taking Nadia if thats what we want
@RomanAria so the original plan was to kill off my only character before leaving the RP statting area...
Ok moving away from that, the whole defending bit is a bit off considering several elements. For one, your comparing a door as equal to a mountain pass in defensive standing is ridiculous. Mountain passes have room for a defensive force to maneuver and defeat a larger force, no one can maneuver effectively in a door except for one person either way.
Aldo drakken have elemtal powers tailored for combat, why rush s defended door when you can set the door on fire?
Its not as stacked a fight against Lugft as you think.
Regardless a maiming is fine with me, but zaks forces getting off largely uninjured is absolutely unfair and makes no sense. I'm not asking to win, losing is fine but as the odds are not as stacked as you think it needs to make sens. Zak should take more serious injuries than superficial scratches, that's ridiculous
