- Said to have mild talent for a number of pursuits but has trouble
applying himself with any amount of passion
- Trained by Robb Reyne Haegon is a capable Knight but may not be
reaching his full potential due to a lack of interest
- Is a novice poet, singer, Archer and artist among other pursuits
- Although often at odds with his brother Daemon, he holds little
enmity towards him
- Has a good relationship with his young brother Aenys
- Can be rather petty and unruly, even a bit cruel. His uncle or
tutor often need to reign him in
- Although quite beautiful his often sullen or smirking demeanor
are detrimental to his charm
- An efficiently practical man he is not prone to daydreaming and
not one for prophecies or legends

A young man of two and twenty, Haegon Blackfyre looks quite a bit like his father Daemon I, blessed with his Valyrian beauty. His High Valyrian features are apparent with his platinum white hair and dark violet eyes. His skin is pale and without blemish and he is tall with broad shoulders. However, his lifestyle is beginning to catch up with young Haegon as he is a bit plumper than his brothers, but he could not yet be called fat. He often wears his hair long but will occasionally have it cut quite short for periods of time. He does not ever have his hair braided as he dislikes what he considers the 'girlish' look it gives. He keeps his face clean shaven. He has bedded a number of women thanks to his looks and status with the Archons palace and may already have a bastard, but no women who he may have had a bastard with have yet come forward.

Haegon often wears rich, darkly colored clothing. Dark crimson tunics with black and gold chasings and details. Deeply died greens, blues and golds are common sights and he often wears more than just a signet ring. But his wardrobe is not flashy or ostentatious,
Haegon prefers his wardrobe to be more practical and flexible. His armor reflects this being made of simple steel with golden colored trimmings and chasings. He has two helmets,
one a simple bascinet with Aventail and a closable visor. The other is a gift from his grandfather, an artfully crafted great helm in the shape of a snarling dragon. The dragon's eyes are large, smooth rubies while the wearer peers out of a vision slit in the nearly closed mouth.

Born merely two years before the first Blackfyre Rebellion Haegon knew very little of his father when Aegor Rivers came to take him and his remaining siblings across the sea to Tyrosh. Unlike his older brpther Daemon Haegon does not even remember Westeros

- A brutal warrior, trained in the fashion of a Westerosi knight
- A mere few months younger than his elder brother Daemon II with whom he has a rivalry
- Noted as an often melancholic and angry man, prone to violence and often thought to be aloof
- Covets Blackfyre which is in the possession of his uncle Aegor Rivers, otherwise known as 'Bittersteel'
- Ambitious and driven, but can sometimes be led to foolish action
- Firmly believes in his right to rule the Seven Kingdoms over his brother or anyone else, all of whom he refers to as 'Pretenders'
- Though often mislabeled as dull Haegon is possessed of a low cunning on and off the battlefield, an amateurish and brutal planner

'Imposing' is perhaps the most appropriate word for Haegon Blackfyre. A young man of twenty and two Haegon is noticeably larger than the common man, a head taller than most men in Tyrosh and twice as massive of the shoulder, described as having a 'chest like a large barrel'. His High Valyrian features only add to his intimidating form with smooth pale skin, long ivory hair and violet eyes he is said to have that in-human Valyrian beauty much like his father. He carries himself upright and with an air of authority, a man who expects others to fall in line behind him.

With the patronage of his grandfather, Haegon has his own armor.
His dark black mail is topped by an artful helm of an enraged Black dragon with red chasings. Massive, intimidating and difficult to deny Haegon I Blackfyre is dangerous to stand against.

Haegon was young when Aegor Rivers carried him, his siblings and his mother to Tyrosh a child only four name days old. He remembers very little of his father or his life in Westeros. If not for the stories of his uncle and mother he may well have forgotten both completely. Of course, he was curious, asking questions of his lineage and parentage, where he came from and why his family couldn't live there anymore. For a long while it seemed as if he'd be happy to simply remain in Tyrosh, his childhood was quite comfortable after all.

However, as he grew Haegon began to realize what it really means to be a Blackfyre. He grew larger than either of his brothers and most other children in the palace of the Archon, and read further into his father's rebellion. What it was for, who fought in it, and why it mattered to him. The more he studied it the more it enraged and frustrated Haegon that his father had lost and that his family had been forced into exile. Why should one so weak as Daeron have ruled when Haegons father was so superior? It was unfair, and simply not right... so Haegon decided he would do something about it.

Still young he began to train with the exiled Westerosi Knights who had accompanied his family to Tyrosh. He was a quick study with the blade and became a capable warrior in short order. Without the trappings of chivalry, however, Haegon grew to be an underhanded fighter who has no qualms about using dirty tricks and honorless tactics to gain an edge. Of course one cannot spend so much time around knights and not gain some amount of decor, Haegon is noted as being honorable off the field and showing kindness to the downtrodden.

As time wore on Haegon, egged on by those who support him, has developed a rivalry with his older brother Daemon II who he sees as an unworthy heir of their father's name and of the Blackfyre family. He is prone to loud outbursts and arguments with his brother about who should lead the family in exile and whether or not Daemon is fit to lead at all. He refuses to relent, intent on taking his brother's position as heir and viewing Daemon as a pretender.

Haegon will not be denied his self-proclaimed birthright by anyone,
especially not his lesser brother. He is determined to one day claim what his father could not and sit upon the Iron throne as rightful king of the seven kingdoms.
