Personally I like 3 better. But they're both great games. Neither is a waste of money.

I thought I had a good relationship with my mom. But the way she's been treating me today makes me think otherwise.

I'll be 20 in a little over a month and know exactly what I want to do with my life. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

After sending out her messages, Ashi didn't have to wait long for the door to the Temple of Time to be opened. She saw them, before they saw her. Silently, before she was noticed, she examined each of three chosen. The Hero was Hylian, which was to be expected, but like the goddesses had told her, he looked nothing like the heroes before him. He sported silver hair and eyes, as opposed to the usual blonde hair and blue eyes. The Guide was probably the most surprising of all. He, at least she thought it was a he, was a Lizalfos, one of the dark creatures created by Ganon. The Musician was the least surprising, simply because she had never dealt with one before. Judging from his joke and manner, he was a bit carefree, but his rugged appearance said that he knew how to handle himself.

The hero was the first to approach, Ashi stayed sitting where she was and let them come to her. He sat down just a short ways away from her and spoke. "That is correct." Ashi answered, eyes sweeping across the three once more. "But I will explain no more than that until all of the chosen arrive. We are still waiting on two." It was exciting being near people again. Ashi wanted nothing more than to jump up and hug each of them. But she stayed sitting by the Master Sword for the moment. Keeping half her attention on the Princess and the Sage, while the other half was on the people in front of her.

It was only a short time later that she received the first message back from Sage. Then the second one letting her know that the other two were on their way. Then again only a short time after that they arrived. The Sage was a Sheikah male, something that Ashi was glad for, the Sheikah had always been important parts to the quests of the heroes. The Princess was very different than any of the other princesses she had met. They were all either blonde or brunets, this one had black hair. But Ashi could still sense the Triforce of Wisdom in her, not to mention the powerful light magic of the royal family.

Both the Princess and the Sage apologized for being late, and Ashi finally rose from her sitting position. "It is quite alright, your duties are important Princess." She said with a small bow. "As for why you are all here... You must have heard of the stories, about the heroes who go on great journeys to save the world from evil. Then the world becomes peaceful again before it happens all over again. This is the next part in that cycle. The goddesses have gathered you all here, the chosen, in order to end the cycle for good. It will be the six of us who destroy Ganon once and for all." Ashi paused, letting that sink in for a moment before she explained further.
I'll post again either tonight or tomorrow morning. It depends on whether I fall asleep or not.
Isa tsked and shook her head as one of the armored brutes completely ignored her comment and proceeded to say something about staying behind his shield. In return, she muttered something very rude under her breath which was directed at him. This is why her least favorite characters were always the tanks. Protecting may have been what they were good at, using cover on someone who had just used blink was a complete waste of time, health, and brain cells. If he was really going to be dumb enough to get in her way, then it would be his fault when they both ended up dead.

So the boss was slow, two handed, weapon user huh? That information would have been nice to have before the plan was made. Isa could do a lot of damage to a slow opponent, and not take a single it. Using her as a distraction in this case would be very smart. Let the armored brutes do all the damage while she kept the boss busy. But, the plan was made already, and she doubted the armored brutes would want her fighting on the front lines, if the ones reaction to her comment was to be believed. It looked like they were about ready to set out, so Isa opened up her menu and equipped her spear. It was annoying carrying it around unless she knew she was going to get into combat.

The Sonic Spear appeared out of nowhere, Isa grabbed it with her dominate right hand and held it, blade end facing the ceiling. It looked like there was one more thing to do before setting off. They had their badges to collect. Isa strode over to the table from her place against the wall and took one of the badges, her five foot ten frame allowing her to reach the box easily. After glancing down at her body, in order to figure out where to pin the stupid thing, she took a step back. Finally deciding on pinning it her chest, on the white cloth material she wore under her armor. Her long, green, tresses half covered the badge, but to be honest, she didn't really care. There weren't exactly many places she could pin it.

Isa lingered on the edge of the group as the others finished up whatever they needed to get done. She regarded them all in her usual, cold, manner. The butt of her spear was planted on the ground and she had to resist the urge to tap it on the ground in a bored manner. She was hoping this game was more difficult than some of the RPGs she had played recently, otherwise it would be boring. Things couldn't keep her interest for long unless they made her think. One of the reasons she liked turn based combat so much, unlike other game genres, you had to think about your moves before making them, and didn't just have to react to whatever came your way.
Narrowed, bored looking, green eyes stared out from behind the helm. Her long, slender, armor clad frame leaned against the wall of the room, as she examined the people around her. Though she had joined the guild, she didn't trust a single one of them. There was only so much that a single fighter could do though, if she wanted to survive, then she was going to have to play with others for once. She, the Queen of RPGs, knew that better than anyone. The main protagonist needed allies to win. She may not have been the main protagonist in everyone's eyes, but she was in the eyes of the person who mattered most to her.

Isa had been invited to join the guild by a man named Arthur. She accepted because she had no other choice. She kept a weary eye on each other member of the guild, the Golden Dragon, as their leader quietly leaned over a map. Probably strategizing. Honestly, it didn't do much good to strategize right now, when they didn't know what the boss was like. But unfortunately, this wasn't just another RPG where she could use a scanning skill, or die over and over to the boss while she found the best way to kill it. They only had one life in this game. Lose it, and it was game over for real. As scary as it was, it also added a new level of intensity to gaming.

Arthur gave them his plan, it seemed solid enough. If the first floor boss was something vanilla. They had been trapped in a game where they could actually die, who was to say the first floor boss was a typical first floor boss? For all they knew, it could have been made to wipe out everything that came it's way. The leader asked if anybody had anything they would like to add. Isa spoke up, her voice sharp and cold. "I don't need protecting. If the boss attacks me, let me handle it. Having some armored brute in my way will just make things worse for both of us."

What a person with better social skills would have said was a bit different. But the point was the same. Isa was a nimble fighter, she could dodge attacks with ease. If somebody got in front of her while she was in the middle of a dodge, it could trip them both up and cause them both to lose HP. At least if she messed up her dodge, then only one person would get hurt. She had chosen her ability set up for a reason. Because her favorite game class was dragoon, she knew how to play them better than any other class out there. And at least this way, twelve years of dance classes would help her survival and not just be a waste of time like her parents had thought it would be.

Gender(In game): Female

Level: 5

Short Bio: Mikoto has loved video games her entire life. All through elementary school, she was the one everybody came to when they needed level grinding done. She earned herself the nickname, The RPG Queen, for her love for turned based combat. When the announcement was made that there was a virtual reality MMO in the making, she jumped on the chance to beta test, but unfortunately never made it in. Instead she had to wait until the game came out. Becoming trapped in the game honestly didn't bother her that much, death was a threat everyday anyway. But still she wanted to work her hardest in order to get back out to the real world. The sequel to her favorite RPG of all time was coming out in six months, there was no way she was missing that.

Personality: Mikoto/Isa, is an extremely quiet and serious individual. She is focused and disciplined, putting her all into everything she does, even if she doesn't like it. She's intelligent and gets bored easily with things that don't make her think. Observant and level headed, she is known to be stone faced almost all the time. She can come off as cold and uncaring, and in some ways she is. She's socially awkward and doesn't really do well with other people, she prefers to get things done on her own and not rely on others. Something that is going to have to change if she wants to survive the game.

Skills:

Dragon Dance
A skill that basically sums up Isa's incredibly unique fighting style. While most spear users focus on strength and defense, Isa focuses on speed, agility, and jumping power. Making her a self proclaimed dragoon. Her fighting style is very light footed, nimble, and graceful, thus making it look like she's dancing with the enemy.

Dragon's Flight
A leaping skill that makes it look as if Isa is flying for a short period of time. Isa jumps high into the air, then comes back down spear first on top of the enemy. Great for grounding flying targets, or bringing large targets down to size.

Equipment:

Sonic Spear
Made from a light, but durable metal, it is the lightest spear in the early game. Increases attack speed and can be wielded one or two handed. A rare drop from a wind slime enemy.

Wind Armor
Light weight armor made from the same material as her spear, it gives equal boosts to defense and agility. Received as a reward for completing a quest.

Interested! Will have a character sheet up after I'm done eating dinner.
Okay, I'm going to come out and say it. I don't like Undertale. In my opinion, it's just another bullet hell, with linear RPG elements. The dialogue and the story telling isn't that great. It tries to use feels too much to get people interested, instead of putting together a balanced story. It's full of memes and tropes and I don't think it does a good job balancing the silly and the serious. Though while I don't like it, I can still say there's some good things about it. Some of the characters are very well put together, but not all of them. And the music is fantastic. But for me, it really isn't worth the money to buy it. I can find games that I find more fun for cheaper.

I'm not looking for trolls, or for people to harass me because of my opinion. I am genuinely asking why you like Undertale. I want to know just why people think it's the best game ever. I want to understand why I can't go anywhere on the internet without seeing Undertale plastered everywhere. Give me some detail on it, don't just tell me that's the best game ever and not tell me why you think it is.
Slowly the chosen began to move, two of them made their way towards the temple as soon as they heard her call. The Hero and the Guide. One more, the Musician, followed shortly after. But none of them entered the temple. They stood outside the doors, far enough away from each other that they probably hadn't even noticed that more than one person was there. The Princess and the Sage stayed where they were, The Princess did have a country to run after all, and the Sage likely had duties of his own that stopped him from coming. Still, she'd send out another message to them, just in case. It was nice talking to people after so long anyway, even if they didn't reply back.

She wasn't sure why the chosen who were outside the temple weren't doing anything. Maybe they were waiting to be invited inside? Usually the heroes just barged right in, startling her more times than not. Ashi rose from her spot next to the Master Sword and walked to the edge of the large room, reaching her hand out, it hit what seemed like an invisible barrier, one that only stopped her and nothing else. Her tie to the Master Sword meant she'd couldn't go too far away from it. And this large room was as far as she could walk. She had been wondering if perhaps she could move further away if it meant going towards the hero, but that didn't seem to be the case. Reaching out telepathically again, she sent a message to the three outside the doors.

"Go ahead, you are the chosen, you can open the doors. I would open them for you, but I cannot get to them."

Maybe it was a little cryptic, but she would explain all once the entire group had arrived. No use explaining bits and pieces, only to have to do it all again. Ashi returned to the Master Sword's side, brushing her fingers against the crystal that housed her spirit when she chose to enter that form. The only form that she was immortal in. But she liked it better that way, knowing she could one day die was comforting. Once this journey was over, she wouldn't have to stay trapped in the Master Sword for eternity, completely and utterly alone. As she waited for the three chosen to enter, she sent out two more messages. One to the Princess.

"I understand you duties are important, but so is this. Please Princess, try to sneak away some time today."

The other to the Sage.

"You are near the Princess yes? Do the land a favor, help her get away if the need arises. Ah and, if you want to talk back to me, just project your thoughts towards the Temple of Time. I'll be able to hear them."

The last part Ashi added to the Sage's message, because she knew that with his magic, he would be able to pull of response telepathy. He may not have been able to start the conversation, but when their minds were connected like this, it would be easy to hear him. Some of the other chosen may have been capable of this as well. But the Sage was the best one for it at the moment. He was near the Princess and could keep Ashi updated on the situation. If they did have to wait until tomorrow for the Princess to get away, then she would have to tell the three who were already here. Perhaps they would be willing to spend the night in the temple? It would be nice to have some people around again.
I'll have another post up in an hour or so. It might be a shorter one, since Ashi doesn't have much to do until somebody actually enters the temple.
