The key to roleplaying, I think, is to have fun helping others have fun. Therefore, let's work together to enjoy ourselves.

Basically the explanation I had with my character was that the populace believed he had achieved immortality through faith and mastery of rejuvenating holy magic. In reality he could not use holy magic to heal, as an undead creature cannot create life.

He did use it to summon a kickass pair of wings though.
Pretty in line with what I had. If you really want to use your character, you should go ahead. It is kinda weird that two characters are vampires, but with some justification it should feel fine. Like maybe there's various strains of vampirism (just like in Skyrim) and we get the idea that there's lots of undead in this world, which honestly would be a legitimate problem for the UEGNC since they would have their own people/soldiers (provided they're not all androids like Axel) turn on them. That would spice things up.
What if we got the ability to respond to statuses? That would be much more difficult and only add on to the long list of planned features, but it's something to think about.

I wouldn't want to clutter up a character concept at this early stage, when there's still so much variety possible.

I had an interesting idea though. What if say there's a continually perpetrated myth of how outstanding individuals in this world are gifted with immortality, when it's just vampirism?
Ah, dammit, there's already a vampire.

I had been in a GATE-esque RP before that never really got off the ground, and I wanted to use my character from that, since I put a lot of attention and effort into it.

The concept was basically a "vampire paladin," a Lawful Good character that used holy magic as well as his inherent vampiric power to be a formidable force on the battlefield. After over a thousand years of service he was appointed as the Lord Commmander of the fantasy faction's entire military, but his vampiric nature was kept a secret.

If you want we could figure out the specifics of the vampire race together.

@Hostile The personality and history sections are not yet done, but can you give the rest a look over to make sure it's okay? Please be merciful with the atomic bomb to the face.
