Enasi decided not to question Seishu's beliefs on what being perfect was. That was a petty and rather silly argument anyway. Enasi also knew he probably wouldn't win that argument either. Instead with a usual bashful smile, he continued following in their dance.
We'll both figure this out. Eventually at least. . .
It wasn't as if they hadn't been in quite a few ruts before. Enasi was sure they could work out whatever was wrong between them, instead of hiding it all. This didn't even fall to the two of them arguing or anything, so they should have been fine. It was. . .less detrimental in the guardian's eyes. The other times, the ones around them were more likely to be hurt by their actions. Enasi kept his hopes up. With those hopes, he decided to ease his questions and just enjoy the moment. There was nothing to worry about. There was hardly anything that they couldn't fix.
I wonder. . . When was the last time I danced?
His mind wandered from Seishu's inner turmoil to something more happy to ease himself. He thought of a time dancing with his minions around a bonfire. They were celebrating something he couldn't quite remember at the time and it wasn't anything formal as it was now, but the tribal feeling made him smile nonetheless. Besides the occasional blushing bouts, this dance made him smile too. From the gentle sways back and forth to the fun twirls he was rendered to, he enjoyed the surface of it all, letting it distract him from his worry. He realized he didn't do much formal dancing, and yet he was able to pick up the steps with ease.
Enasi smiled proudly. As he was twirled back his small laugh echoed and lingered in the air for a few moments until the music slowed once again leaving them close together. He complied with stealing his arms around his counterpart's neck without any indication of being embarrassed by it. As dorky as it seemed, Enasi was proud of the little improvements. His second compliment made him smile. He wasn't sure how to respond to it, feeling a thank you wasn't good enough. As they slow danced, Enasi took the time to openly stare at Seishu and examine his features. He had seen him plenty of times before, but he never really took the time to notice the simple things.
He noticed how pale Seishu's skin was compared to his own. His eyes wandered to Seishu silver ones and he smiled again. The compliment could definitely be returned. He leaned a little closer as if to kiss him, pausing when something flashed under Seishu's hair. "Hm?" He rocked on his toes, pausing their dance. The music still played, now a bit softer. Enasi's fingers gently brushed against Seishu's cheeks before pushing his hair out of the way. "Hey. . ." He spotted the dangly silver earring with a tiny silver dagger at the end with a sapphire in the hilt, along with an ear cuff inlaid with a sapphire that matched the ones in the daggers on the shell of his ear. "I didn't know you had this. It looks nice." He then moved his hands, doing the same for his right side. He noticed the cuff was only on one side. "It suits you." He wondered why he didn't notice it before. . .
