Current So I've learned that I have low-level adult ADHD, and that's helped me understand a little bit why I can never seem to stick with an adventure for longer than a month at a time.

I've started the process of writing an adventure book for my most ambitious GUTS+ campaign, and hoo boy, it's exhausting.

I'm attempting to make some one-page adventures for my GUTS+ system. We'll see how that goes!

I'm not a spambot, I'm just excited about my hard work on my app and I want people to not use spreadsheets to make conlangs anymore because that sucks!

“Hold on,” she said, pressing an ear to the door and listening intently. If she heard nothing of suspicion—that is, nothing that made it sound like there was something moving behind the door—she’d knock on it, then listen to the tone it created. If the sound was light and travelled, it meant the door wasn’t blocked. If the sound didn’t travel, there was probably something blocking the door, and quite a big something too.

Thought 1, rolled 6

Pebs listens close, and in the silence of the room, she is able to hear... nothing. If there's anyone behind the door, they're either inhumanly quiet or not alive. The only thing she is able to hear the soft hum of the air conditioner from the vent above.

Knocking on the door reveals that it is one of those cheap, hollow doors made of thin plywood reinforced by a lattice of cardboard to make it feel solid. She once went down a rabbit hole while looking at online encyclopedias and ended up researching doors, and she's confident this is a hollow-core door. They're tough enough, but mainly only serve as ways to separate rooms in houses.
@Typical 6 is a Positive impact success, yeah!
@Typical Please roll Thought to see how Pebs is able to interpret her knocking. I think making the roll and editing the post should be good?
As if providing a grim reply to Duncan's confident motion, the door handle does not turn. Despite any efforts to turn it or force it, the thing simply will not move!

@Vertigo @Typical
@Alamantus is Mae’s character not in the same room as the other characters then?

Well, I haven't heard anything from them at all since last week, so I'm just assuming they're not gonna be playing. If they come in later, I'll just have them somewhere else, I guess. So no, they're not in the same room haha.
The lights blare on for several blinding moments as the fluorescent tubes settle in to a quiet hum above. When Duncan and Pebs' eyes adjust, they see a square room, roughly 20x20 feet, painted a drab beige with a gray linoleum floor.

To the left of the light switch is a gray door that, judging by the hinges, appears to open inward and has a round knob. To the left of the door is one of the walls.

Along the wall opposite the door is a countertop that stretches the length of the wall with cabinets above and below, a total of 8 doors on each set of cabinets. A sink with a tall faucet is situated on the left side of the counter, but the rest of the countertop is empty and clean.

The only other things Pebs and Duncan notice in the room are a small, circular drain in the center of the floor and a larger-than-normal air vent about 2 feet above the door. The ceiling is also feels unusually high for a room like this.
@Typical @Vertigo I'll get the room description up as soon as I can, hopefully today, and if not, definitely tomorrow
Hmm, for my next post-- should I end it with Duncan turning on the lights, or ask for a description of what he will see when flicking the switch in advance? Then I could incorporate him doing that and his reaction in my next post already.

I'd say go with the second one just to keep the flow going. It makes sense for Duncan to reply to what Pebs is saying before seeing the room.
@Alamantus Are the characters in the same room?

Yeah, all of them are there against that same wall but spread far enough apart that you'd have to reach to feel anyone.

//edit: Also, should we attach an updated CS to each post, or keep editing the one in the CS tab?

Just edit the one in the CS tab unless you really want to keep a history of what your items/stats previously were, in which case I'd say make new posts in the Characters tab.
As Duncan shuffles his way toward the pinprick of light, he encounters no obstacles on the ground. When he finally reaches it, he discovers that it's the dim light of a totally normal-looking illuminated light switch set to the off position.
