Name: Julius Aldric Rees
Age:Twenty-eight
Gender: Male (he/him)
Race/Species: Human
Student/Teacher: Epsilon teacher. Julius teaches Criminal Law and seems to have experience outside of teaching with it. He’s encountered and overlooked criminal cases before and finds it useful to use them as examples for his students.
Physical Description:Julius has a very slender figure that is almost always hidden underneath a tight suit and tie. Even at the beach, you may see him wearing his suit, but without the jacket and polished boots. With the exercises he does, Julius’ back muscles and biceps are his strongest and most toned parts of the body. Julius has his left ear pierced though he doesn’t opt to wear the earring because it “interferes with his professional” look. He stands at 6’1, and with the small heel at the end of his shoe, Julius stands at 6’2.
Personality: Julius leans toward the strict side of the teacher spectrum. He emphasizes protocol in the classroom and has ruthless assignment policies. Furthermore, Julius keeps a stoic and unpredictable aura with students since he’s not the one to socialize freely. Julius does have a tendency of being guile, often snaking his ways around trouble. In the classroom, he’s best known for open ended debate that puts students and sometimes staff members into moral dilemmas- and he claims that this is an exercise when really, Julius enjoys mind games. He enjoys deep philosophical questions that could take up to hours of conversation to understand.
With his coworkers however, Julius has more of an open personality where he’s willing to respond with more than one word or sentence. While Julius would be categorized as a liar according to his own syllabus, he is nothing but honest. Sometimes, the amount of truth he tells is terrifying, since it’s a reminder from Julius that he’s not afraid of consequences. Whatever he did, he did it with full conscience and has no problem becoming his own lawyer if he needs to. Julius also gets a little playful when it comes to board games, a lighter side of him shows through as he’s laughing and smirking all the way through the game.
There are a list of things Julius has trouble with, one being control, and another being uncertainty. He seems to get anxious when things aren’t going along with a plan, especially on campus when he’s responsible for the lives of his students. Julius despises uncertainty and often is demanding answers if there’s an emergency and people don’t know what’s going on. It ties back to wanting to be the one in control over every situation. The happier he is, the happier his students will be.
Backstory: Julius speaks little of his past, often changing the subject or redirecting the conversation. (I plan to tease his backstory out through the RP!) What is known is that Julius’ parents were met with an unfortunate house fire and he was separated from his siblings. Julius was taken in by his maternal uncle, and raised by him until his uncle mysteriously seemed to disappear.
Powers/Magic: Power- Julius has wind power that he uses to his advantage almost everyday. Slamming the door shut behind him, cooling himself off during a hot day, but then there is dangerous territory in which he can use wind power too.
Abilities:
Wind Manipulation- It can be used as a destructive weapon as Julius is able to control the pressure, and the sharpness of wind whether that means to cut bark, give something close to a papercut, create a weak tornado. He can have the tornado mix with a body of water to potentially create some sort of tsunami, but Julius has never used his powers as a force of destruction. Instead, he usually uses it to get tedious everyday tasks done. Drying his hair, collecting papers, “cleaning” dust off the shelves.
Teleportation- Julius is able to teleport within a ten mile radius, usually to get errands done as well. He’s never late due to this reason, and has fun appearing behind coworkers in means of frightening them for a good laugh.
Pinpoint accuracy/killer combat- As a criminal law teacher, Julius teaches all levels of compliance to his students. Including the least ones as well, and for that- he has to polish his combat to tip-top shape. Being involved in criminal cases before, Julius has tackled the experience of shooting a gun and the quickest way to get someone on the ground. Though, there is rumor that he was once trained like an assassin, since the pattern of his movements match none of the federal government training regimens.
Potential Character Arcs:
Julius meets someone that instills fear within him rather than his cocky, guileful attitude.
The use of wind power finally takes a toll on his body when he uses it too much within an emergency, and he loses it for a little bit which leaves him feeling unqualified to teach and useless.
Julius is working on a minor criminal case closely involved with the school, and his morals and bias starts conflicting with his work because he starts to suspect a staff member/student.
