@Lucius Cypher@Kol@JedlyAs Syshia wandered further in the direction of the disarray, the tree line thinned and she laid eyes upon an entire kingdom in destruction. There were cannons, tanks, walls, magic spells and lots and lots of metal on metal clanging. As she was standing on a cliff overlooking the kingdom, her vision was unlimited and she could see for miles in any direction. Being a new player, she had not yet been involved in a fight. Her curiosity of course got the best of her and she found herself rushing down the steep Cliffside towards the battle.
I really hope I can be of SOME help to my kingdom. This is where I belong after all. . . If I can just get to that wall over there, I can help them defend. she thought as she ran past a group of frightened citizens. She skidded to a halt in her tracks as she passed them.
Maybe these people could be of some help. As long as they don't freak out and run away. . She turned back and approached them in the least threatening way she knew how and leaned down to the older woman sitting in the dirt to ask her a question about the chaos surrounding them.
"Can you tell me what's going on here? I want to help but I don't know exactly how. I'm a brand new player and I PROMISE I won't hurt you. My stats are so low, I couldn't hurt you even if I tried." she tried to put some sort of chuckle in with the last part and a slight smile to make herself sound even less threatening.
The woman drew a very labored breath and responded in a rather raspy voice,
"The Black Kingdom is being attacked. The warriors and mages are trying their best to defend it but the monsters and Outlaws are putting up a hell of a fight." Syshia took the woman's hand and thanked her before taking off running again towards the tremendous noise. As she finally came to the clearing where most of the fighting was going on, she realized she needed to hide herself somehow. Remembering her camouflage skill, her anxiety lessened as she made her way towards the wall on the other side of the field. Someone would notice her eventually. Some of these people's detection skills were pretty high so she quickened her pace. Not paying attention, an arrow from someone's bow grazed the back of her neck. Wincing in pain, she hurried along trying not to bump into anyone, or the end of their sword for that matter. Fighting her way through the crowd of people who were ALSO fighting, she saw the monsters the woman had been talking about.
Wow I hope I don't have to fight those. Someone else should TOTALLY take care of THAT problem . . . Just as she thought, she then noticed a team of players fighting a monster that looked pretty damn indestructible. Seeing an opportunity, she ran up to the player that seemed to be leading the battle and asked if there was anything she could do to help. She wanted to help somehow. . .
