Current I'm back for now. No telling when my laptop will die, so if I disappear suddenly, that's why.

I made this account, like, a year ago. I made it specifically because I wanted to RP as a particular Halloween themed character, but then I never did. Now I have more time than I'd like and nothing I really want to do other, so it seems like as good a time as any to revive this infant account.

Currently looking into The Ordinary Mythical Academy. No other RPs as of yet, still looking. I don't really have a preferred RP type or anything, kind of more of a case by case thing, though I do prefer to play as non-humans if possible. If you want to see some of my art, you can head over to my Tumblr page.

Get lucky and you might see one of YOUR characters there. ;)
If you want, that is.

... so... I was still on the first page, and she apparently posted before I did....
Guys, I just wrote a super cool response to Bones, Demon Boy, and Reaper kid, and now it's just not there! Did anyone see it? I posted it before Ruby replied!
@EurmalEye
Aha! Now it is YOUR turn to be too late! >:3

No, but seriously, Nelos made a shell of trees around himself and Shela. It's probably my fault for not referring to her by name, but Nelos doesn't know her name, so I didn't want to use it just yet.
Kyo was leaning back in his chair, head bobbing to the music in his head. He had stopped whistling after a bit, unable to breathe in quickly enough to keep up with the rock song playing in his head. He had just started whisper singing when he opened his eyes, feeling... something. He looked to his left, then his right. Nothing. On a whim he looked up, his large eyes widening even more.

A rainbow of lights danced above his head in long, thick ribbons. They were mostly blues, greens, purples; cool colors. Though he had never seen them with his own eyes, he immediately associated them with the phenomonon known as Aurora Borealis. At the same time, he could feel a kind of... coldness. It was familiar, like something he had dreamed. But, like a dream, the more he probed his own mind for answers, the farther away they slipped. He eventually gave up trying to remember where he had felt it, instead trying to figure out where it was coming from. He allowed his head to swivel wherever it chose, eventually settling in the general direction of Alex, the cute, quiet, comic book girl.

He got up from his seat and started making his way over to her. He sat down, leaving a seat between them for posterity's sake. "Hey. You seeing this?" He asked, pointing up at the lights above his head. He figured he'd try to keep his end of the conversation to simple yes or no questions, since she didn't or couldn't talk.

And then #10 walked in. Kyo referred to all of his Siblings by name, or at the very least, code name. But that guy? Fuck him. He saw his Siblings as meals on legs, he didn't deserve a name. He probably didn't care, either. "Jesus fuck!" Kyo whispered, nearly tipping his chair. What in seven rotting, bloody hells is HE doing out?

PLX-395

PLX-395 said nothing, just blinked, first one eye, then the other. He had never had an alternative designation before now. He did not understand why this creature would have an aversion to referring to him by his Zilnaxxian issued identification code. How were they supposed to tell the difference between him and the other three-hundred ninety-four Zilnaxxians designated PLX? And why would they refer to him as Plex instead of PLX? The non-human's version had an additional letter in it.

He supposed it didn't matter, waving his fourth finger over the sensor on his head piece. He added his new designation to his General Log. "Thank you for the upgraded identification code. I humbly request to know each of your identification codes, as well as a response to my previous inquiry; is this the team of humans and non-humans I was sent to accompany?"

The anatomical anomaly had not gone unnoticed. PLX-395, or Plex, as he would now refer to himself, had scanned humans before, his equipment revealing a skeletal system similar to his own, though much sturdier. This was one such skeletal system, but missing all of the other systems required for a functioning human body. Not only that, but it was irradiating a strange energy signal, similar to the one coming off one of the humans who, by all information given by scanners, was dead, and therefore should not be functional. Given the nature of these individuals, Plex decided to categorize this type of energy as "necro-phenomenal", seeing as neither of these humans should be functioning. As he did this, Plex couldn't help wondering how it was able to detect him without eyes, ears, olfactory receptors, tongue, or nerve endings.
Nelos Oakleaf

Just as the forest boy was about to reach the helpless girl, a man in a robe ran across the stampede, tackling her to safety. The boy's snapped at nothing as he followed them, anxious to get out of danger' path. The robed man produced a staff and, twirling it around, slammed said staff into the ground. The forest boy could feel magic emitting from it, and the entire stampede suddenly transformed. While he couldn't speak to animals, he could hear their confused and frightened cries as many of them suddenly burst into existence.

Before the boy could catch his breath, another girl, older than the one he was now crouched next to, appeared, killing some of the people in the stampede before shouting to someone on top of the massive, snake nosed creature. Then a large beast similar to some of the ones the boy had just fled from came up and began speaking to that same individual, who then began shouting hostilities at everyone around him.

The boy's hair was already standing on end by this point, but things didn't calm down. No, things only seemed to be getting worse. Without warning, one of the younger people became a monstrous demon, only to be encased in ice. At the same time, an unnatural beam of darkness shot into the sky, turning day to night. And then, as several people began falling from the sky, the older girl went through a transformation of her own!

By this point, the boy had completely forgotten about the strange parchment he was carrying. He was terrified! None of this made any sense! Was this normal for the world beyond his forest? Not knowing what else to do, he grabbed hold of the girl on the ground next to him. Screwing his eyes shut, he asked the plants to protect them. They obliged, several small trees sprouting around them. The trees grew rapidly, weaving together and forming a kind of protective shell around the two of them. Despite this, the boy felt no safer, and couldn't help whimpering, occasionally even howling out of fright.

During all this, Streak had been trying to get around the stampede to get to the boy. Once the hatred and malice started spreading, however, she turned tail and ran. She didn't stop until she was in the safety of the trees. She howled insistently, terrified that she had just lost her pup, the only member of her pack.
ALright. I'm getting ready for work right now, so I'll edit my post when I get home.
Idk. I kinda feel like we should establish a posting order so this kind of thing doesn't happen. In the meantime, I guess we have to figure out who saved her.
You know, I had a feeling someone would post their character saving Shela before I did. Now I just feel awkward. :/
Nelos Oakleaf

It took nearly a week of travel, not including the frequent breaks to eat and sleep, but Streak and the boy found their way to the end of the scent's trail. The adventure hadn't been very exciting, but it had been nice. They had crossed hilly country side, hunting rabbits, sleeping curled up next to one another for warmth. After a solid week of calm travel, they were both shocked to find what awaited them.

They could smell most of the creatures before they could see them, the ones they couldn't smell they could feel, or sense. There were many unnatural things just over the last hill. Streak began to turn back. The boy couldn't blame her, he was just as uncomfortable about it as she was. However, he was much more curious. "Do not be like that, Streak. Think of all the things we could learn from this! We wanted to see what was outside our forest, did we not? We have seen hills and rabbits. We have seen rocks and rivers filled with fish. But we have seen those things before! Beyond that hill are things we have never seen, nor even smelled! Things we can not even imagine!" Even if Streak could understand him, she'd have still turned away. Whatever was beyond that hill was not something she wanted anything to do with.

Streak did eventually climb up over the hill and into the valley below, though it was not due to the boy's coaxing. No, she ran over the hill to get herself and the boy as far away from the stampede of strange animals that had suddenly arrived. They were all very loud and very strange, one of them being as large as a tree, with a nose like a serpent! All the while, the boy clutched Streak's mane, simultaneously fearful and ecstatic.

The boy's excitement left him, however, when one of the animals knocked over a small girl. The girl cowered as the stampede raged around her. One of the larger animals was headed straight toward her, and the boy knew she would be crushed if no one helped her. He leapt from Streak's back, causing her to yelp in surprise. The boy landed on all fours, his arms turning into a pair of legs, like Streaks. He sprinted toward the girl, his mouth widening into a large maw. Reaching the girl, he bit down onto the back of her clothes, pulling her out of the way of the stampede. He dragged her along in his mouth until he was sure they were well out of harm's way.

Streak watched all this in horror, far to smart to dash into a stampede, but worried for the boy none the less. She howled anxiously, calling out to him to make sure he was okay.

"Awh ooh ahwight?" The boy asked, his mouth and limbs slowly returning to their previous forms.
