Current I'm back for now. No telling when my laptop will die, so if I disappear suddenly, that's why.

I made this account, like, a year ago. I made it specifically because I wanted to RP as a particular Halloween themed character, but then I never did. Now I have more time than I'd like and nothing I really want to do other, so it seems like as good a time as any to revive this infant account.

Currently looking into The Ordinary Mythical Academy. No other RPs as of yet, still looking. I don't really have a preferred RP type or anything, kind of more of a case by case thing, though I do prefer to play as non-humans if possible. If you want to see some of my art, you can head over to my Tumblr page.

Get lucky and you might see one of YOUR characters there. ;)
If you want, that is.

Jeofrey

As Jeofrey puffed on his pipe, he heard a loud, cluttering sound. Turning on his stool, Jeofrey saw what appeared to be two elven woman in very revealing clothes. They were much taller than the mystic elves, but then again, everything was larger outside of the mystic land. It didn't take very long for Jeofrey to discover the source of the noise; they were both quite drunk. One was stealing drinks and talking a mile a minute, the other one was laying across a customer's lap.

Just then, Lucy emerged from the kitchen. Seeing the elf girls, she turned to Jeofrey for an answer. "Well, I don't know for certain, but I'd guess thought they'd try some fae ale. Poor sods... I'm mystic and I don't touch the stuff. One shot of that stuff'll last you a week, maybe two." Jeofrey replied. He hopped off of his stool, careful not to spill the water in his instrument. "No worries, I'll take care of this." And with that, walked into the center of the room, cranking his glass armonica. Using the fingers of his left hand, he began to play a slow, soft melody.

While a beautiful piece of music, the song Jeofrey was playing was in fact a magical one. Anyone in ear shot would become calmed. However, it had an additional side effect that Jeofrey had only learned in his time playing in the inn. That was; anyone sufficiently inebriated when hearing it would be out like a light in seconds. Within a few minutes, the elf girls, and anyone else who had had one too many, would be asleep where they were, then it was a simple matter of getting someone with muscle to move them out of the customer's way.

Once the Princess was safely within the gauntlet's grip, both gauntlets rose slowly into the air, careful not to shift Eliphas too much as they did. Looking over at the princess, Eliphas couldn't help but let out a small chuckle that immediately became groans of pain. "I'm not going to die..." He said, his breathing already less labored. "I'll be fine... as long as I do what I do best; ...absolutely nothing." He decided to try propping himself up on his elbow, but he hadn't healed enough for that yet, so he laid back down. He knew that if he stayed like this, pretty soon his eyes would close, and then sleep wouldn't be far behind. If that happened, his gauntlets would disappear, leaving both he and the princess to plummet to the ground. To keep himself awake, he decided to make conversation.

"So, where were you going if you... don't mind my asking? And what... on earth do you need the seven deadly... sins for?" Eliphas asked. One thing's for sure. He thought. If she's searching for sins, she's lucky she found me first. Who knows what would've happened if she ran into Maximillian. Or Grimjet! Eliphas shuttered slightly at the thought. He couldn't remember everything them, but he remembered enough to keep the princess, and any other woman for that matter, far away from them. He considered telling her so, but decided to wait for her response. After all, the more he spoke, the longer it would take to heal.

The gauntlets drifted forwards, though, in which direction, Eliphas didn't know. He couldn't return to the swamp, that much was certain. Now that the White Church knew he was there, the entire place would be crawling with Holy Knights. Good. He thought. The more of them there are their, the less there'll be in the rest of the land. But where could he go? The only other place safe from the reach of the White Church was Fairy Island, and Eliphas was neither brave enough nor foolish enough to go there.

Eliphas turned his head, getting a good look at the princess for the first time. Her hair had been tied back in a pony tail, though the cord she had used now lay hanging useless from said hair. She was still covered in mud, but Eliphas could see that she was only wearing underclothes. Eliphas quickly turned his head back towards the sky, wincing with pain as he did so. Well, good thing is, I know where we're going first. "If you don't mind, your highness, letting me know if you... see a clean river or pond. I'd look myself but I'm a little... preoccupied."
They're all done, I just need to put them up. I won't be able to do that today, though, since I've got some irl stuff that I've got to do.
Hey, I've got stuff I have to do today irl that I've been putting off, so I won't be able to get on till later. Hope that's all right.

Okay, editing it now.

Plex heard Michael's question, but chose not to answer until his scan was complete. "All background readings come in normal. As for the silver, each of those boxes contain something metallic and silver. We'll have to check them individually. We should start at opposite ends." It was then that Plex heard Griffin's warning. In response, he began another scan. "I'm conducting a scan of the gases in this room. Until the scan is done, Michael, I suggest you not discharge your firearm." And with that, Plex walked over to the boxes and began opening them, searching each for the chain.

"Should you feel the effects of an airborne toxin begin to set in, please let me know." Plex calmly requested as he searched. "I do not breathe oxygen, like your species. My space suit comes equipped with a hydrogen sulfate tank that hooks into a mask in my collar. As a result, I can not utilize my sense of smell any more than I can become poisoned by air borne toxins. If this air were poisoned, I would not know until the scan came back. You, on the other hand, would have been breathing it from the beginning." He finished, opening and searching through his sixth box. The first two boxes had been filled with silver jewelry while the last three contained a silver dish set. This sixth box was filled with silver flasks. Plex plunged his thin arms into the box, feeling around in the bottom for the chain, but he came up empty handed.

Would you mind controlling the five soldiers. I was worried about making my post too long, so I cut it off with the lieutenant giving the order to attack.

Eliphas sighed as he sat in his giant gauntlet, slowly floating towards a net of thrashing fish. Everyday was the same thing, in and out. Wake up, sleep, wake up again, eat, check traps, kill food, free the rest, reset the traps, wait for the vines on his roof. Is this really my life? He asked himself. He supposed it was, since he didn't dare leave this swamp, for fear of recognition. Not that he even knew if anyone would recognize him, he just didn't want to take the chance. He had just finished pulling said net out of the water using his free gauntlet when he realized he hadn't heard anything for a while now, which was peculiar as he had become accustomed to the sounds of the swamp. Eliphas stopped what he was doing. He could just barely hear the sound of voices over the fish' desperate attempts to return to the water. At first, he decided to ignore them, returning to the task at hand. As long as they didn't bother him, he didn't care. Then he heard a woman's scream. After a moment the voices continued. Eliphas tried to reason that someone had just pushed someone into the water or got frightened by a snake. It didn't work, and the next thing Eliphas knew he had dropped the net back into the water and was drifting towards the sound. I'm just gonna look. He told himself. I'm just gonna look and see that everything's alright. And when it is, I'll feel like an idiot and go back to living alone. In a swamp.

Eliphas slowed just before reaching the voices, trying his best to remain hidden. He could see several soldiers, all clad in silver. One of them looked like he might even be a lieutenant. How Eliphas could recognize this was beyond this, so he chose not to question it. Lastly, he spied a young woman on her knees. No, not on her knees, she was sinking! She must have fallen into a pit of quicksand! Lucky for her she's got those soldiers with her. He thought to himself as one of them picked up a branch and began to help the young woman to safety. The lieutenant said something, however, and the soldier dropped the branch. Wait... Eliphas thought. They're not... they're not going just let her die, are they? He watched as the sand swallowed the girl up to her neck. Isn't someone going to do something!?

The young woman's mouth was now under the mud, and yet the lieutenant forbid his men to help her. Just before her nose was enveloped, leaving her suffocating, a massive gauntlet smashed through the trees. It reached down into the quicksand and, with a sickening squelch, pulled her out. "What's the matter with you guys?" Eliphas asked the soldiers, his voice just barely registering anger. "You see a lovely young lady drowning and you just watch? What are you, a bunch of deviants?" The soldiers all gawked at the sight of this purple haired stranger floating in a giant gauntlet. All but the lieutenant. "Eliphas Voltaire; the Deadly Sin of Sloth." The lieutenant breathed, his eyes glinting with intent.

"Do I know you?" Eliphas asked, cocking his head to one side lazily. It was an honest question, in his case. "No, but I know you." The Lieutenant replied. "Listen well, Sloth! I am Lieutenant Lucien, and I am going to give you a choice. Hand over the princess, and we will leave you be. I will not breathe a word of our meeting to anyone, and you can go on living in your... charming little home. We only want to return her to her own." He said with a genuinely friendly smile. The smile disappeared, however, as he continued. "If you refuse, you will be arrested for kidnapping her royal majesty, the princess, from protective custody. Choose wisely." Lucien finished, giving one final smirk.

Eliphas was quiet for a moment. He lowered the Princess, placing her on a dry patch of ground behind him. "See, if I were you, I'd say I was gonna do that, but then arrest me anyway." Eliphas explained slowly. "So, I'm going to have to say... no." Lieutenant's expression went stony once more. "Very well. Men, secure the princess, then arrest this filth." As the soldiers began approaching Princess Evelyn, the gauntlet that had lifted her out of the quicksand slammed down in front of her, landing on two of them. It then picked those two and, throwing them at the other three. All five men ended up going under the water.

"Enough of this!" Lieutenant Lucien spat. He drew his weapon, a long sword whose hilt was encrusted with emeralds. The lieutenant leaped from his dry spot on the ground, swinging his sword over head as he sailed towards Eliphas. Eliphas didn't move at all, just sat there as the gauntlet he was on tilted upwards. Suddenly it shot into the air, leaving Eliphas to tumble backwards into the mud. Lieutenant Lucien saw it coming and just barely evaded it, twisting his body mid air, like a cat. The motion turned his sword into a deadly propeller. Just as the blade was about to come down on Eliphas' mud covered head, the left gauntlet came soaring past, punching the Lieutenant hard enough to send him flying into a tree. Eliphas stood up and began wiping the mud off. As he did, he saw the five soldiers climbing out of the water. The right gauntlet swooped back down, knocking them all back in.

While Eliphas had been preoccupied with the soldiers, the lieutenant had held his blade in front of him, his eyes closed. Suddenly his eyes snapped open and, before Eliphas could register what had happened, the Lieutenant was directly in front of him, his armored knee pad slamming into Eliphas' stomach. Eliphas fell to the ground as his gauntlets descended on the lieutenant. The left one had tried to grab him while the right attempted to crush him. Lieutenant Lucien jumped straight up, pulling his legs up just far enough to avoid being caught. Landing on top of the left gauntlet, he hopped backwards off of it, causing the right one to slam harmlessly into it's partner. The gauntlets continued to pursue Lieutenant Lucien, never quite fast enough to catch him. After allowing himself to be chased a good ten feet away, the lieutenant turned around, sprinting past the gauntlets as they tried swiped and punched at him. He dashed towards Eliphas, who hadn't moved from his spot on the ground.

Eliphas looked up. Seeing Lieutenant Lucien coming towards him, he knew he had allowed himself to be baited. He brought his gauntlets back to him as fast as he could, but the lieutenant was faster. Stopping just in front of him, Lieutenant Lucien lunged forward, asedf plunging through Eliphas' lungs and coming out his back. Eliphas stared down at the blade sticking through him as if he didn't understand what it was doing there. The Lieutenant pulled his blade back out, letting Eliphas fall to the ground. "Come along now, your highness." he said, turning to Princess Evelyn. "This has gone on long enough. Come back with us and we-" He was cut off as the gauntlets finally caught up, each hitting him at the same time. The lieutenant went flying into a shallow pond. Eyes blazing, Lieutenant Lucien stood up, only to have his left foot dragged out from under him. He had been knocked into one of Eliphas' traps, and the lieutenant was dragged screaming off into the swamp.

One of the gauntlets gently picked Eliphas up and laid him in the other's open palm. He was hurt bad, but so long as he didn't move, he'd be alright. The gauntlets both floated over to where Eliphas had left Princess Evelyn. "We'd better leave..." Eliphas said through a groan. "... that's not gonna keep him busy long... probably cut himself free already..." The empty left gauntlet hovered near the princess' feet, beckoning her with it's index finger.

Plex took the device from Michael, secretively appreciating the man's curiosity. He didn't often get to externalize his thought processes. He usually had to save those for status reports and updates, and even then they had to be precise and to the point, containing only fact. "In simple terms, I am upgrading our equipment." He stated as a long robotic arm emerged from his pack. Attached to the end of it was what looked like a small laser pointer. Plex took this in one hand and the cell phone in the other. Removing the phone from it's case, he began blasting it's inner workings with the alien tool. "The majority of my instruments can be operated via my HUD, but this requires more precision." He explained. "With this upgrade, I will be able to connect to your cellular telephonic communicators at any time. This way, we can communicate, even if we are separated. Unfortunately, my best tools are in my quarters, so for now, the range is very small. If we are separated by more than two hundred fifty thousand miles, we will lose communication." Plex replaced the phone's outer casing and handed it back to Micheal. "Come, time is a factor." And with that, Plex turned and entered the room. He performed a quick scan of the room. He was mostly scanning for the silver, but he had also included heat signatures, radiation, and general information.
