@Starsteemer I have no problems with that. We can discuss the specifics next time, but coming across that beast wouldn't be an issue.

Our overlord may allow two or more characters.
Maybe in the future, but as of now, it'll probably be 1 character per person.

@Eklispe@Starsteemer@Duthguy@LokiLeo789@Light I was considering of altering the premise and going with a light novel kind of feel that instead of being inhabitants of this world, you're simply humans who have already died. This is just something like your second life and unfortunately, its a life as a monster. I'm kind of taking some inspiration from novels like Shield Hero, Re: Monsters, and Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken.
@Duthguy All of those seem quite acceptable.
@Light We just need to work on dome of the technicalities but I don't see why you can't be one.

@Eklispe I'll see what I can do about the whole non-humanoid issue.

@Starsteemer I guess we'll discuss the specifics once the character sheets come out.

I mean, he didn't really plan it per se. When he destroyed himself, his essence dispersed throughout what is now the forests of Revea. Those who are blessed by his powers are more of lucky than chosen. The more his influence spreads, the stronger he becomes. The more who pledge thheir lives to him, the faster his revival. I planned to explain more during the RP itself.
@Starsteemer That's basically going for hard-mode on the difficulty rating, but I wouldn't mind that if that's what you decided on. Just wanted you to be aware. Also, like I mentioned earlier, I want everyone to start from scratch. So if you want to start with an artifact like that, I'd prefer an interesting backstory on how he acquired such an item and his reasons for choosing to take on a form that is looked down upon by the rest of their people.
@Eklispe The problem is, I won't be relying on a definite system, so granting them better options isn't really something I can do. I want this RP to be player-driven when it comes to the growth of their character both physically and personally.

If a Goblin had a fixation on burning things, I would eventually grant him an affinity to learn fire-based magic which would allow him to transform into some sort of Hellfire Demon. What I'm trying to say is, the opportunities for growth that I'll grant to a character would be relative to the effort they give. If a non-humanoid and a humanoid traveled together and decided to explore a dungeon, the treasures they'd find would probably benefit the humanoid more than the non-humanoid. Jewelry or accessories might be open to either, but when it comes to weapons, armors, and the like, the choice on who it goes to or who'll experience some sort of power boost, is definitely obvious.
@Eklispe I was considering that but I'm trying to avoid people complaining of non-humanoids having a disadvantage. I mean, I can mention that they were well aware of this at the start, but it still wouldn't avoid those types of sentiments from being brought up.

@Starsteemer Hmmm. The way Anathema culture works is that among the various races, tribes and clans usually exist to subdivide them amongst one another. Given their history with the humans, the Anathema have grown to despise them. So having one of them relying on an artifact to transform them into a form that would be more similar to that of a humans, would definitely be looked down upon to say the least.

@Starsteemer I didn't know you could just upload from your PC. Interesting.

Anyway, I don't mind going with an original monster design; I just wanna suggest to maybe choose something humanoid? I mean, I'm not gonna hide the fact that there will be artifacts and equipment that you guys can come across.

I just feel that being a quadruped would probably hinder you in some ways.

This thought has made me contemplate on where to just allow humanoid beasts or have everyone start out as human with Anathema blood. Basically making them social outcasts and giving them a reason to abandon humanity and serving Typhon.
@StarsteemerYou have to upload the image on photo sharing or image hosting websites (imgur, photobucket, etc) then they'll generate a URL for that image which you can then post here.
@Starsteemer Whether they're evil or not, its really up to you. Typhon won't really control anyone; he'll just bestow select monsters with his power but what they do with this is really their choice.

You can post that original design here or send it to me in a PM so that we can discuss.

@Lady Athena Nah, job class and monster-type wouldn't be synonymous here. I mean, you could start as a Goblin and end up as some sort of Shamanistic Vampire for all I care. Its really up to you. I won't really create predetermined paths. I'll make use of what you guys give me.

Let's say you start of as an Imp. Went through certain milestones like getting tortured with electricity and devouring a clan of lizardfolk, it wouldn't be that odd if you turned into some sort of scaled lightning demon.
@RedLeather Certainly, you just have to make decisions throughout the RP that would lead you that path. I just want everyone to start at a low level; progress in this RP will be relatively fast.

Werebeasts are acceptable, but not incredibly monstrous from the start. Spirits are fine too, as long as nothing too overpowered is done by the players.
