Summary: In a parallel world, Europe is ruled by tyrants and dictators. The government is corrupt and people are either wealthy, or suffer from poverty, while the rest of the world sit and watch, too scared to do anything. The story takes place in a large town in alternate universe Scotland called Ryaes, where the dictator who rules the British Isles creates weaponry. However, when the Scandinavian Ruler, who was blackmailed into supplying him with the materials, suddenly refuses to give any more, he goes mad planning revenge upon the former. He doesn’t have enough troops to patrol the towns while attacking the French, so in an attempt to frighten the other, he sends two of his elite groups of assassins to burn down Ryaes, which is located along the coast, extremely close to Scandinavian land. The story starts the day before the annihilation of Ryaes, and follows the characters through their lives as they meet up, form a group, and try to find their place in the world. (Eventually they will take down the assassins who destroyed their homes and their leader)

Scavengers: People who have resorted to finding abandoned towns, corpses, and no-longer-used stores for things to steal and sell, mainly at the black market.

Seals: Patches that - when in contact with living cells - can drug the target. They are clear, circular, and have the drug name printed on them.

Crystals: Vibrant-colored material from deep inside the Earth in various shapes and sizes. They have special properties, and can manipulate the kinetic energy of one element each, mainly the basic ones, and have one factor depending on their element. They are mostly put into weaponry. (Example: It’s like having a kinesis. Put a fire crystal in a gun: INSTANT FLAMETHROWER!)

Elements and their properties:

Fire- Overheat. Basically causes peoples insides to burst in flame, depending on the crystal strength. If the crystal is weak, all it does is cause them to feel like they’ve been standing in the sun too long.

Water- Serenity. Acts like a sleep drug, but can put people into a coma. Weak crystals will only slow the opponent down a bit.

Earth- Gravity. It causes the gravitational pull on a selected target to rise. Can squash people flat, and possibly split organs from the force.

Air- Disperse. Causes targets molecules to try to move away from each other for a time.

Dark- Desynchronize. It can desynchronize certain parts of the target, such as control over limbs. Strong crystals can detach the soul from the body.

Light- Coordinate. Pretty much opposite of desynchronize. Light acts kind of like a leader, and can gain control over other peoples bodies, if strong enough.

Sub-elements: These are extremely rare and only belong to those who can pay enough.

Ice-???

Lightning-???

Metal-???

Solar-???

Lunar-???

Affinities: When someone has an affinity for a certain element. It depends on their personality, really. Also, everyone will have an affinity for one element and one sub-element, but it must match their personality.

Anyone interested?

Very interested, but I do have some questions - In what country will this be set in? Are we going to be regular people just having fun, or will we be like, hackers, mafioso, criminals in general? When you say night life, will we be only RPing about what happens at nightclubs, or about our daily life, too, and how it affects it? Lastly, will this be slice of life, or will there be something major that happens, or what?
“Hey!” Lilith yelled. There were three people in the fight, currently, though some bystanders had flocked around. Her exclamation caught their attention. “You guys”, she pointed at the bystanders, “Better stop crowding or some police-involved justice shit is going to catch wind of it and disturb the peace. You two,” She set a glare on the drunk’s two friends, one of which was getting up from his slumped position next to the apartment building. “Need to get the fuck out of here or you’re just going to get the shit beaten out of you, not to mention that your friend is clearly in no state to drag his ungrateful ass back to whatever shit-hole he crawled out of.” Finally she placed her attention on the yakuza. ”Please refrain from launching annoying drunks at my house and leave. Your kind isn’t exactly welcome here.”

The guy blinked. “What do you mean my kind? Aren’t these sort of places filled with gang members? Besides, I didn’t hit any houses, just that apartment – oh.” Lilith rolled her eyes. “Yeah, I live there. Don’t worry; there are plenty of idiots out there who think I’m a spirit. As for your other question, gang members… I normally just let them loiter about, as long as they don’t disturb the peace. I don’t really like them about, but even I’m not stupid enough to go against five dangerous people who aren’t doing anything wrong, no matter their affiliation. Now you know the rules, so leave.” She walked back to her room. A notification came from her phone. One of her associates warning her a few yakuza had come to her part of town. A little late, but hey, it showed they cared… somewhat. Sometimes the lack of human contact and communication got to her, but it was better to stay incognito, in case someone targeted her for her services and didn’t want to pay.

She turned on her computer screen, opened her email and began composing a letter to her dad, informing him of the damages to the building. He never responded, and the repairs had only been made twice in her time of living here, so it was safe to assume he ignored them all. Not that she cared. The letters took time out of her precious day, but it had become rather like a tradition for her. Hoping that maybe it would finally break through to him, make him realize he had a clever daughter who could hack a company into ruin to balance out a son who was terrible when it came to academics and would probably lead a company to ruin instead (Lilith had hacked into the Union’s student information files. It was kind of sad, the fact that a prostitute could bear a child more intelligent than some high-ranking wealthy bitch). “I have some major daddy issues” The ravenette laughed bitterly to herself as she sent the email.
Lilith’s phone vibrated as she got a new text from one of her regular clients, requesting information on the more illicit activities going on in some famous phone company. She glared at it, grabbing it and texting them to bother her during her work hours. Right now was her downtime. She took a sip out of the bottle of rum that she had stolen from Adrian’s house, making sure to keep herself fairly sober. To be fair, she had left a twenty on his kitchen counter, in the spot where it had stood before. Besides, it was his fault for not locking his window before he went out, even if his apartment was on the second floor of an inhabited building with actual staff. Something the raven-haired female was lacking. To her defense, there was a tree beside his window, and many thieves lived around anyways, so she did him a favor by locking it on her way out. She had used the door this time, once she was sure no one was there at the moment.

Currently Lilith was wrapped up in her quilt, her arms free but still somewhat restricted, just enough so that she could still take a drink and tap her cellphone screen. Her eyes were fixed to the window beside her bed. There were drunks, thieves, and gangsters alike littering the gray, gloomy streets, each going about their own business. The thieves and pickpockets stole from the gangsters, who in turn beat them up once they found out, while the drunks laughed, cried, told their life stories, and screamed at her window, shrieking that there was a ghost in the building. Okay, maybe she didn’t look that great, considering there were light circles under her eyes, she was pale from lack of Vitamin D, and her hair was tangled up. Still, they must’ve been really drunk if they thought she was a specter, either that or mentally retarded, which was a valid excuse. She smirked, watching one of the gangsters beat up a drunk who had screamed about her in his ear.

Her apartment wasn’t that far from the ground, only the third floor, so she clearly saw Asian characters on the gangster’s arm. Japanese, if she was correct. She’d seen the characters before, when her dad had invited an Asian man to dinner so they could talk about some mafia-related business. He had a similar tattoo on his neck. Lilith opened up Google Translate to make sure. The tattoo was Japanese for yakuza, Japanese organized crime. He was probably visiting. The apartment building shook and plaster rained down from the ceiling. Lilith looked out of her window once more. The yakuza member had just thrown the drunk into the building, and the drunk’s sober friends had started fighting with the guy. They were dangerously close to the building. She honestly didn’t care what happened to them, but she couldn’t let them destroy her house. Lilith jumped out, brushed her hair quickly, grabbed her protective gear, her dagger, her imported Beretta 9000S, and ran out the door.
Hey guys, I won't be able to post as much after this weekend because I have finals. If the strike actually cancels them, then I'll go back to posting more.
Lilith threw an experimental punch. The man dodged it pretty easily, and swung his right fist at her chin, to which she responded by countering it. Her fist met the man’s upper lip; however, she was too slow to counter his fist to her collarbone. She took a few steps back to analyze the surroundings. There was the counter in front of her, the fridges to the right, and shelves behind her. The store was small and the exit to her left. She gave the guy enough time to get out from behind the counter, and then rushed him, aiming a roundhouse kick to his solar plexus. He tried dodging it, but it clipped his elbow, and he quickly jumped out of her range, and then broke out a knife. Lilith’s eyes narrowed. She had also brought a knife, her switchblade, but she had no intention of killing the employee. It might lose her a valuable client. The grip on his knife was very loose – he had no conviction in his grip. He was afraid of killing another person.

“You’re bringing a fucking knife to a fistfight; hiding behind a blade to protect your shit when the enemy hasn’t the same luxury. How pathetic. I bet you have to pay people to even be in your presence.” His features went scarlet. “Don’t try to fool me, girl. I know you have a knife, too. Stop babbling and pull it out.” Lilith smirked. It was men like these who were too easily riled up. If she played this right, she’d be home-free sooner than she thought.

“This started out as a fist fight, shit stain. One does not involve knives in fist fights. Well, apparently some fuckers do, but you can’t really blame them for having their brains in their ass!” Lilith dodged a stab, using his momentum to crash him into the fridges. His boss wouldn’t be very happy with that. “How was I to know that you weren’t going to pull it out? Women are deceptive little liars. They should know their place.” Lilith raised her eyebrows, flicking away a piece of black hair from her eyes. “That’s fucking sexist. Someone’s had lady issues.” He managed to strike her arm, ripping her hoodie and causing her to swear. He grinned and moved in to stab her, but she swiftly rammed the heel of her palm into his temple, knocking him out. The man fell to the floor. He would be up in a few hours, plenty of time to run. She sprinted out the store and through the streets, reaching her apartment. The owner would be back soon and she didn’t want to be there when he chewed out the clerk.

Settling down on her bed, she bandaged herself up, getting some rubbing alcohol to disinfect her cuts, soon realizing she had left the Bacardi at the store. “Shit!” Lilith hissed. After the fight she had looked forward to getting smashed, but in her haste had forgotten to grab the rum. She packed up some extra weapons to ensure that she wouldn’t get injured like that again, concealed her bruises, and headed off. She could always get a bottle off of Adrian or something.
Hey guys, sorry I've had a lot of homework lately so I haven't been checking here as often (I mean, probably everyone does cause of the strike but I'm in an art school so I have to choreograph and memorize a solo dance) so anyways I went back and changed the time to eight. Sorry about the post, I mean, I'm really busy. I had to write it in a short time. I can change it if you like
The streetlight flickered, and then went out, going back on after a few minutes. It was like this with many streetlights near the apartment building, no one had done maintenance on them for about three years. All the electricians and shit were entirely too scared of the street gangs who lived in the area, and the staff who were still alive had been too old. Some of them still lived in senior homes, and even an elderly couple had gone insane from the gloom and had been sent to an asylum. Not that Lilith cared, it was just that the lights seemed intent on letting her eyes adjust to the dark, and then flicker back on, blinding her. She was walking to a liquor store nearby her home, (because she had self-control and wouldn’t get hopelessly and utterly sloshed like somebody) and had stopped at an old bus stop to check the time. A light drizzle had formed a little before she left, and she had thought she could rush to the store, grab a bottle of rum (vodka if they had none) and hurry her ass home. Of course, once she had reached the stop, the drizzle had developed into a downpour. She cursed.

Not knowing what to do, Lilith pulled her hood down once more and ran the rest of the distance. It wasn’t far, so she was only in the rain for about thirty seconds. Still, it was enough for her hoodie to get soaked. She walked to the back, ignoring the creepy forty-year old clerk (probably new, considering she’d been here several times and she had never seen him before) who was staring at her lecherously. There she checked for her favorite brands and grabbed a 1.75L bottle of Bacardi that sat haphazardly on a dusty plastic shelf inside a fridge, leaning on some other bottles. A dust cloud rose as she picked it up and settled on her hoodie sleeve, causing Lilith to wrinkle her nose. She walked back to the cashier to pay for the bottle, taking out her wallet at the same time. The man leered and rang it up. “Thirty dollars, doll.” He was thin with his ribs showing, as many peoples were wen they were out on the streets, and definitely lying about the Bacardi, which was twenty dollars and always had been. Lilith wanted to smash his face in.

“What?” She hissed,” I don’t fucking think I heard you right, sir. A 1.75 Bacardi is twenty in this store, and the owner never changes his prices for it.” Mainly because he was one of her best clients for both hacking and info, but those were small details. “You heard right, doll. That beer is thirty dollars. Owner changed it last night.” Lilith grabbed his shirt with her right hand, slamming the other into the counter. “I happen to know the owner, pedophile, and you know what I think?” She pushed him so he stumbled and steadied himself on the the wall opposite. It wasn't hard, considering how much he probably weighed. “I think you’re trying to earn a bit extra, shit-ass.” A ten dollar bill was sticking out of his pocket, probably from some person who fell for the trick.

The clerk punched her on her jawline. For a scrawny man he was pretty strong. Up close she could see lean muscle, unlike the gunsmith she had seen to the other day. He wasn't messing around, either. Shit.
The bacon sizzled beautifully as it hit the frying pan. The heavenly aroma permeated the air of the small apartment, and little drops of oil flew about, causing Lilith to hiss as some hit her hand. She was just turning them over when someone knocked. However the sizzling of bacon and the heavy metal music coming from her cellphone drowned it out, causing the interruption to go unnoticed. They only knocked harder, which rattled the door dangerously. Lilith noticed this time, as she had turned off the stove and was setting her snack onto a plate. ”The doors unlocked, shit stain and stop banging on it or you’ll break it off its fucking hinges!” She was really pissed at the moment. Later she had to make sure to bill whoever was at the door for repairs.

A moment later, an eighteen year-old boy stumbled in. He was probably fresh out of college. “You aren’t a regular here. The fuck sent a son of a bitch like you?” Lilith asked, stuffing a piece of bacon into her mouth. The kid turned pink, his brown-green eyes flicking to the floor and back. “Adrian sent me. I’m his cousin, Javier. He told me you were a hacker and an information broker.” Lilith choked on her bacon. “Like hell Adrian sent you. You probably heard it from him when the fucker was rambling after five shots of Budweiser’s, Carlsberg if there’s none of that.” Javier reddened. “It doesn’t matter where I heard it; I have money and can pay you.” He held out a wad of cash. Lilith held out her hand and he placed it in. She quickly counted the money. Five hundred dollars sat in her palm. The kid must be desperate. She mentally sighed.

“Okay shit stain, what job do you need done?” He swallowed nervously. “I need information on someone. I have their email right here. My email is underneath.” He handed her a slip of paper. “Alright, stay here and don’t move.” She grabbed her bacon and booted up her computer. Hacking in was easy. She quickly collected all the files and copied them, emailing them to Javier, then wiping her trail. “I’m done” She said, walking back in. “And only this once will I help you stalk the girl you like, and this was only because you’re that child-fucker’s cousin. If you show your shitty-ass face here again, I will shove my knife in. I can hack fucking companies and you ask me to hack a little bitch’s computer through her email, God damn it!” The kid practically rushed out of her apartment. Lilith glared at the door, and then picked up her cellphone, calling her ‘friend’ via Skype.

“Hello?”Adrian’s heavily accented voice rang out. His face appeared on the screen.

“Adrian. Your delightful cousin Javier came over today. He was so fucking nice that he offered me five hundred dollars if I helped him stalk his bitch. Isn’t he so. Fucking. Wonderful?” Lilith seethed, the slight British accent coming out in her voice, though it was marred with the Italian one she acquired from speaking with her dad. Her blue eyes flashed. “He told me you still have a very loose tongue when it comes to drinking, too…”

About fifteen minutes later, the rant was over, Adrian had gone to get some more booze - he never learns - and Lilith lay sprawled across her creaky single bed. It was only eight and she was still severely pissed. She started taking it out on some innocent online gamers, who were complaining that the boss in one of her games was invincible and no one had ever beaten it, and then really dished it out to some guy claiming he had defeated it. Lilith eventually got bored of modifying his Facebook, grabbed her sketchbook and a mechanical pencil from her nightstand, and started on a new design.
Very interested. SAO is one of my favorite anime:D
