Sometimes I like to step outside and take a deep breath and smell the wonderful aromas our beautiful planet has to offer...
But most of the time I would rather shitpost on dank imageboards

Hey guys. It's been a while since I last even logged in to see what was going down. Luckily, my other OOC i'm in is pretty quiet for now, but I thought I owed you guys some apology. I've been kinda busy with personal emergencies and trying to write some short stories and I have not really been able to find to time to write up stuff for the RP. I am trying my hardest to stay up to date with the RP and I will try to stay as active as possible on the IC, but time may not permit. I will get a minimum of one IC post done a week and it will be decently long, but my really good posts wont begin for a bit. My character is still in the works, as I am having to go back and corrects certain aspects that I find while I write him and his crew.

Anyway, as I haven't been on, I figured I would use this post as a bit of a catch all, so here I go.

@President Taco Yo chill dude. We need your character to work BEFORE the IC starts, because I think I can speak for all of us when I say we don't want to have to retcon. If you're being sarcastic, don't. It doesn't transfer over text well at all (as I think you could see from Maxx's reaction).

@Maxx What do you think the biggest acceptable size for a ship would be? Would it matter if a ship had proportionate disadvantages? One of the major drawbacks to my ship, is that although it has big guns, the big guns are slow guns. They fire slow and track slow, so a faster ship could easily kite past the guns at optimal speeds and ranges. Also, I am sending you a pm because I have a question on my captain's story.

And lastly, I'm excited for the amount of support this RP is getting. I think that this is going to be one slam dunk RP.
@President TacoSo it's more like he moves around his cells and the radio would appear more like a 3D printed radio (no detail, just a collection of material shaped like a radio)? Is the point that he doesn't look like a radio, he just has the shape of a radio?
At this point, I'm just gonna focus on my own characters, I apologize if it seemed like I was trying to take the piss out of you @President Taco. I just wanted to try and understand this now, rather than deal with it down the road during rp. I still am not sure what the consensus is but for now i'm just gonna roll with whatever Taco has said so far.

If I am understanding it correctly, Claymoor can shift to be a hollow (or full if you desire) casing designed to APPEAR like an object, yet he can only imitate the object if he has the correct supplies? (Example, say you wanted to be a radio, if you had a speaker and some wires on you, you could also imitate the functionality of a radio?)

On my character sheets, still working on those. @Maxx I am going to send you a PM probably tomorrow if you are still around regarding a backstory element for my characters that will just help smooth some things up. Also a note to people making ships, if you really want to get into a good reference for your ships (things like tracking speed on weaponry), take a look at some of the stats and lore of some EVE ships. A lot of it is really in depth and I'm using one of the ships as a frame of reference. You can find a lot of it on Evelopedia.

Edit to fix mentions because I force myself to question my own intelligence...
Edited again because it's tracking SPEED not TIME...
You are correct in saying that it would be impossible to be a ship. Because it is not made of cells.

But neither is a lamp or a car...

At this point, my stance has boiled down to more concrete limitations on his abilities, as well as defining the abilities clearer. If he cant turn into a ship because he is made of cells, then it should be impossible to form into a lamp or a car or something small and unnoticeable such as a grain of sand. At this point, I would be okay if we agree he can shift into other living objects however the ability would still need to be refined.

EDITERINO: I just read President Taco's newest post. One of the biggest ideals in Godmods post is that you can APPEAR like an object, but on closer examination (you wouldn't actually have that objects function/you would be squishy) it would be apparent that not everything is as it seems. The items working I am once again not to sure about. I wouldn't call plastic squishy. Once again, need GMs on this one, but I would keep it human flesh consistency. Overall, you still need more elaboration. When I used to rp, I tried to stay away from shapeshifting because of this exact reason here... it's difficult to balance.

Keep in mind that I am not at all AGAINST you being a shape shifter, I just think that the GMs need to agree on what is acceptable and what isnt. And if they decide that you can shapeshift into anything and for me to shut the hell up, then so be it, but we need more elaboration, and concrete limits.

To reiterate, GM's call on this and I hope we can get this worked out.
Paging @Maxx, @Godmod, and @Mr Allen J

I don't know how I feel about the idea of Claymoor. It seems like he violates the rule of Powerful Telepathy, possibly Reality Warping, and he might as well have Omni-shapeshifting since it seems like he can change into any object whatsoever at any time. It feels to me like he's just some straight up terminator that can ravage everything. And being able to turn into a lamp? By that premise, he might as well just turn into God's Pen itself and kill everything. Why would he need to be a spy when it seems you've created a nearly perfect killing machine. If he can turn into anything then he can get close enough to any character that it wont matter if you can douse the whole universe in hellfire, because Claymoor will already have killed you. Why does he even need a ship, if he can just shape-shift into one? How would you even kill him, because even if you DO get a chance to crush him or launch a nuke at him, he can just turn into a gas and evade everything.

Hell, if something like Claymoor really DID exist, why don't all the factions team up to eradicate him, because he seems like the most clear threat, seeing as how he is practically a demi-god, if not God himself...

I'm not a GM, but I feel like you character is simply too op. Assuming he can turn into other inanimate objects as well as a lamp, it feels like he can just do anything and kill anyone. It's up to the GM's, but I think your character either needs greater restrictions on his capabilities, or you need a huge overhaul to his weaknesses because I'm not too keen to the idea of a nearly invincible shape-shifting terminator...

I am in the process of writing this all out. I ended up writing a metric ton and now I have a massive wall of back story all about my characters species.

I will post it tomorrow but i'm not sure when.

Please help... my backstory... its too massive...
No problem! I will more than likely need to edit somethings to make them clearer. I had surgery recently and I wrote that while I was on pain pills so I can guarantee you it won't be some of my best work...
NOTE - In the "name" category, I wasn't sure if you wanted a traditional name or some badass demon name like "The Killer of Souls" or something like that, so I just gave him a generic name. If you need me to change it just say.

Basic Information

Name: Sebastian Osbert Key (Oz)
Age: 28
Date of Birth:
Height/Weight: Human - 150lb, 5'5 | Demon - ???lb, 6'0

Human Form: In a neutral human form, Oz appears as a lanky and vertically challenged man at first glance, however, upon closer inspection, his only outstanding feature is his purple eye color. He commonly wears a solid black hoodie with one vertical, off-centered stripe going up the front about 2 inches in width and purple in color, paired with a pair of black sweatpants that have obviously seen better days. He has a mop of black hair that stay unkempt for the most part.

Daemon Form: In the Daemon form, Oz keeps a humanoid form, however there are many changes in his appearance. During a shift, bystanders have observed a black figure - described only as a "shadow" - that seems to have the visual properties of an object from which light cannot escape (i.e black hole). The observed black figure seems to be released from the rear of Oz as if escaping from a force which is pulling it inward, as illustrated in exhibit A. The shadow is then "sucked" back into Oz and the colors invert on his clothing (purple to black, vice versa). Oz' eyes also shift, the purple color formerly observed will then expand to cover the entire eye.

Battle Characteristics

Ability: Due to his side effect, If Oz is able to touch an enemy, he can enter a physical representation of the hosts mind and use the hosts fears to hunt in side this representation and cripple him/her psychologically. However, this leaves him vulnerable to attacks in the physical world and is unable to leave the hosts mind until he breaks them, due to the subconscious need for the host to protect itself, meaning that using this ability is quite risky if there are still opponents hunting him.

Side Effects: Oz has the ability to understand the fears and weaknesses of his opponents, but only is he is within seeing range of them. Oz has night vision, but his vision is impaired when in direct sunlight.

Equipment: Oz has little need of equipment outside of human essentials. Oz carries a small hunting knife, however, most conventional combat is done in his demon form, as he is able to turn either his arms into claws with three sharp extensions (resembling daggers) on command.

Additional: Oz is an assassin at heart and his abilities complement that. He strikes quick and clean. However, he was NOT designed to
A) fight more than two or three enemies at a time or
B) fight a prolonged battle
Oz tires in battle exceptionally quickly, allowing for only a handful of clean cuts before he begins to be sloppy, allowing for only a few more attacks after that until he must retreat to regain his stamina.

Personal Information

Relationships: Although Oz is a quite jovial character, he prefers to keep his circle very closed, as he never knows just who he will have to fight next.

Personality: Oz' human form would lead you to believe he is a very upbeat guy, however, in his demon form, he becomes cold and calculated. He prefers the company of others, but does not want to befriend them, for fear that he may someday be tasked with assassinating them.

Background: Before the creation of Island 13, Oz worked as a bodyguard for the rich and famous. Escorting many celebrities and millionaire playboys taught him caution, as his paycheck hung in the balance of how idiotic one client would be under his supervision. However, he fell ill with cancer and was forced to quit his position. In the following years, though he miraculously stabilized, his condition had deteriorated greatly, taking his finesse with him.

Or so he thought...

When demons began attacking Neutral City, he hid in the subways of the city with other refugees. The haven only lasted for a few days, however, and while his wife and newborn child were slaughtered before him, he went into a fit of rage, ultimately revealing his status as a demon. He brutally ended the lives of the attacking demons and mourned the loss of the two people closest to him. He soon realized that he couldn't sit in an abandoned subway tunnel forever, and left to find his place in the city, and to come to grips with his newfound status.

Other/Notes: Oz's golden years as a bodyguard left him abruptly, however, he still retains the knowledge he gained during that time. Oz has proficient knowledge on modern weaponry, particularly small arms.
Same.
@Maxx Then maybe it's not so bad.
