After an eternity away from you all, I have returned.
On a slightly more serious note, hi, hello, welcome, it's nice to meet you! I'm the one who stole Anathema as a username people could pick all those years ago before dipping out. So, I'm going to be real with you, I have very little faith in my writing abilities, it has been more than four years at this point since I wrote anything. If you don't mind this little fact, great, we can probably get along! Well, not saying we couldn't before this check was made, but you get the idea.
I am a simple man, I live in Central Daylight Time, I have a job that will take my attention away from you at 2 PM all the way up to 10:30 PM every weekend, and I cannot shut up about certain topics if I get started. I have a wide array of interests, some of which will make it here onto this interest check, most likely the Choose Your Own Adventures, the games, or the stories. That's assuming I can actually remember any of the titles, I'm awful at doing that. The few things I do remember really well are because I adore them, or they're just too messed up for me not to remember. Feel free to ask me about any of the things I know, even if you don't want to write a story with me, I'm honestly just lonely.
Anyway, serious time. So, what can you expect from me if we write together? Varying levels of writing, free and casual level writing is where I would excel at since I don't have to think as much about what I'm doing, but I can struggle my way through advanced level. try to name someone who couldnt excel at free writing i'll wait Hell, if I am especially inspired, I could do fairly decent with advanced writing. I suppose I could be considered casual-high casual if I had to mark down my level. I dunno, I'll leave that up to your judgement as we write together.
Right, anyway, this check is going to be full of the stuff I'm interested in at the moment, so go ahead and take a gander, see if anything takes your fancy any. However, before you do that, first you must learn...
The Rules
Life gets in the way at times, I understand, but if it gets really bad, let me know, alright? I'll do the same courtesy to you.
Mistakes are made when writing, we all make them at times, but please take the time and effort to correct them. This rule I will try to be lax about, but still keep it in mind all the same.
There will be times where I mess up, whether it be not giving as good as I get from my partner or a million other things. All I ask is that you try to find it in your heart to forgive me and let me know if it's a problem with our story.
Please do not reply to the thread, send a message instead. Questions, ideas, whatever, keep it to the messages, otherwise I'll be legally obligated to assume you haven't read the rules.
I would like for anyone who reads the rules to send a message to add their favorite fairy tale or folktale. If you don't actually have a favorite, just put something like Alice in Wonderland, Iron Hans, or Little Red Riding Hood.
I cannot write smut to save my life, so I'm afraid anyone seeking that will have to seek it elsewhere. If we get to the point it is inevitable, we'll just have the good old fashioned fade to black time skip happen.
There is no limit to how much you want to write, partially because of genuine concern for moments where text walls seem like they would be too much, partially because I would like to attract as many people as I can get after that no smut rule.
Talk with me, let's be friends! If we only write together, it would be pretty boring, don't you think? I don't know about you, reader, but I would love to have more friends. Who knows what we might introduce each other to?
Last, and without a doubt the most important, have fun, alright? If things aren't fun for one of us, then what's the point?
With all of that out of the way, we can finally get to the meat of this check, the things that I am...
Craving
Project Moon Universe/Distortion Detective/Library of Ruina/Lobotomy Corporation/WonderLab/Limbus Company/LC2
Well, I'll tell you what it is! Well, some of it, anyway, Limbus and LC2 has yet to actually release, so I know basically nothing about them, I only listed them because they exist apart of the universe.
Lobotomy Corporation is the first game made by Project Moon and can be described as a management simulator of sorts. You take the role of X, the new manager for Lobotomy Corporation, a corporation based around gathering energy from "Abnormalities", the SCP-like creatures kept contained within the facility. Every day you get to pick a new abnormality from a choice of three, find out how to safely extract energy from the abnormality in order to reach a steadily increasing quota, and hopefully keep your employees alive to see the next day. It's... rough, to say the least. There are also multiple endings to the game.
Library of Ruina is the direct sequel to Lobotomy Corporation, taking place in the same universe after the true ending of the first game. In this game, you play the role of Roland, who mysteriously ended up in "The Library", and subsequently forced to work there beneath the Librarian Director under threat of death. In the game you send out invitations to the denizens of the city, witnessing parts of their life and luring them to enter the library where combat happens. If they win, they get the books they want. If they lose, they themselves get turned into a book. Combat is a blend of deck building and dice rolling, and you unlock more characters to use as the game progresses, forty-five of which are actually customizable characters.
WonderLab is a web comic that is detailing the events of a branch of Lobotomy Corporation during, and after, the events of Lobotomy Corporation. As of the current moment, it is on hold as the creators rewrite it to be more serious than it actually is since it gained more popularity than they originally thought it would.
Distortion Detective is a web novel that follows the adventures of Moses' Office, and their boss, Moses, a woman able to see the distortion. The distortion is a phenomenon in which completely ordinary humans suddenly turn into monsters, usually wreaking havoc. Similar to WonderLab, the events that happen within take place during Library of Ruina.
I explained the media all of this takes place in, so now it's time for the backstory.
The Project Moon Universe takes place on an alternate Earth many years into the future, humans have exhausted nearly all resources of the planet. Suddenly, powerful technologies known as Singularities are discovered and harnessed by various corporations. The Singularities advance technology so greatly that what was thought science fiction becomes reality. Examples being teleportation, nanotechnology, androids, and other sci-fi tech. These mega corporations would grow to control vast sectors of cities, becoming the dominant force and government, known as Wings. To control these corporations would be The Head, a mysterious group that rules the world with a dystopian grip. These all gather in one gigantic urban complex, known as The City. It is split into 26 districts among the 25 Wings and Head. With this advancement in technology and power, comes a massive gap between the rich and poor, to the point where there are two different urban sectors splitting the castes. The poor live in the Backstreets, a labyrinth of crammed alleyways and streets where crime runs rampant and human mortality is at an all time high. Meanwhile the upper class live in the Nest, a place where bright-lit skyscrapers and neon lights line the streets, but hidden behind the glamour is a corporate world as unforgiving as the Backstreets. These two sectors make up the District, controlled by their respective Wing, although the Backstreets are all connected together and ruled by a group of Syndicates known as The Five Fingers. Outside the City, is a barren wasteland known as the Outskirts, where outcasts, some cannibals, and exiles live, and even further beyond, is a forsaken place known as the Ruins. In this cutthroat world, mercenaries known as Fixers rise to solve any problems citizens have, whether be simple chores or assassination. They combat the Syndicates and perform corporate work for the Wings and Associations.
TL;DR Post-Apocalyptic Earth, City of 7 Billion, Horrible Place To Live
i am craving this far more than anything else on this list if anyone is interested in an rp or just wanting to see the games or find a place to read the web stuff hit me up i got you
Anyway, should you choose this option, we can talk it out, there's quite a few options we can write out and if you need more information, I am more than happy to provide. I'll admit, this one would probably fit better if it was a group, but I would prefer to be judged by one person rather than multiple right now. Maybe eventually it can be a group story, but for now it'll just be the two of us.
Fairy Tales
Well, you see, I played an RPG Maker game recently, a game that I got bamboozled into downloading. While far edgier and erotic than my usual taste in games, a certain aspect of the game caught my attention. What happens when a fairy tale character doesn't like the way their story ended? In the case of the game, they escape from the pages of their book and into the real world. What they do from there varies from tale to tale, some of them being helpful in your journey while others are a hinderance that you must defeat. I find this idea rather interesting, potentially something worth stealing for a story.
Of course, that's how it all started. After the game, I was in the mood to see different versions of fairy tales, so I went around the internet looking at the various versions out there. Little Red Riding Hood is really popular, I couldn't tell you how many versions I found inside comics, games, shows, and stories, but there is a lot. Funnily enough, one of those Little Red variations is actually in the Project Moon universe, more specifically Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina. A key thing I noticed is how dark most of these Fairy Tale variations are, even the original stuff is dark. Some people want their light, fluffy tales, and others want the story to be dark and twisted.
If you select this option, we can brainstorm what we'll do. I have some ideas about what we can do, but it's also nice to see what my partner has. Heck, I could even be introduced to a new fairy tale I didn't know before, or a new variation.
Following up the Cravings is the Do It Yourself section, otherwise known as...
Now, moving on from the CYOA section, we're gonna hit up fandoms I know and remember at the time of writing this. Ask me about any fandoms that aren't listed, I might know them.
Finally, we get down to the generics, the most unplotted of the unplotted. No plots, no plans, just completely random pairings. Do they have to be romantic pairings? No, they don't, they can be anything from enemies to friends to strangers or whatever else might tickle your fancy.

We're at the final stretch of this thing, I hope you're ready because we are at...
Plots
Okay, to be honest, I don't actually have anything in mind just yet. I promise that I will eventually update this section and give you plots, so bear with me for now.
After a long journey, you've made it, you finally reached the end of this post! Good on you for having the patience to read all of this, assuming you did, anyway. I don't know why you would skip over everything to the end, but you do you if that's what you did. All the same, thank you for taking the time to check out this post, I hope you found something that would interest you. For now, I'm afraid this is where we shall part ways, but I will wait with bated breath for your message. Have yourself a pleasant morning, a good evening, and a wonderful night.
Warning you ahead of time, most search results will probably be about a project by a Russian musician and Flower Punk by Frank Zappa if you don't add punk genre to the search.
Honestly, I didn't really have a specific RP place, I just kinda hopped around the web until I found an active site where I just hung around for a bit until the site died out or moved to some other place. It's all cool, feel free to ask whatever. Flowerpunk is a punk that is based around the consumption of living beings. An example of that would be harvesting fairies for their glowing blood and using it to make lightbulbs or soul-powered electricity. Like I said earlier, Flowerpunk isn't really as nice as it sounds.
Also, thanks for offering to help me, I'll be sure to take you up on that some day.
Joke title aside, hey everyone! I'm Anathema, although I'll probably be going by An or Ana. Ignore the fact those are feminine names, I'm actually a guy. I am an RP vet of about 7 years now, although it's been about 2 years since I've actually wrote anything. Prepare for the disappointment that'll bring and try to help me git gud, please.
Anyway, that bit aside, some of my RP interests consist of that almighty and ever-present fantasy that everyone knows about, sci-fi except hard SF because I'm not nearly smart enough for that, the crowd favorite fandom, the various punk genres that aren't Flowerpunk which is not nearly as nice as it sounds, and finally, super heroes/villains. Of course, there's more things I like, but those just happen to be the stuff I decided to list.
Now then, stay safe everyone and let's get to know each other!
