It may have been not very much time to plan the murder of Lord Spencer, but time was of the essence. The longer they waited, the riskier it was for him to find out and thwart their plan. She felt somewhat guilty at having to resort to using Vail to dispatch her enemy. However, she could not do it alone and she was rewarding him her entire lifetime of blood as recompense. As Vail explained to her to wrap the silver in cloth, she nodded at his request. “Do not worry, I will ensure you can handle the merchandise. Just make sure to wear gloves.” She assured him confidently. “I know how…disgusted you are by it.” She almost chuckled thinking back to how she teased him with the box of ammo on their walk home last time. How he jumped, he couldn’t get far enough away, like a phobia. Seeing an all-powerful vampire succumb to something as simple as a piece of metal.
She listened to his proposal of dispatching the Lord Spencer. Both were plausible. Yet her shot was not accurate enough with a pistol. “I have only just began training with a pistol. I have a much better shot with a bow and arrow or crossbow with silver bolts. But those items are harder to conceal on my persons.” She would have to be ready to point blank shoot Spencer in the heart should Vail’s shot miss, however. “I will be the one to distract Spencer long enough for you to pull the trigger, I’m not confident with the gun yet, I could easily harm you in the process. But I shall be prepared to shoot nonetheless.” She turned on her heel to leave. “One more thing though, Lord Hygrace….should he have to feed on me, I will let him, try not to get jealous….as it will cloud your judgement…” She instructed the Lord firmly. She didn’t want anything to compromise her mission.
Although she wondered if he would only get jealous if another vampire fed on her blood when it was promised to him. He certainly didn’t like that other vampire trying to feed on her. She had an inkling that he already had a possessive nature toward her that came with addiction. She was his drug and he wanted exclusive access….yet he did not stipulate that others could not have her blood. Or in other ways. Would another vampire’s touch ire Vail if Victoria reacted in that same pleasurable way that was not by his hand? She could be wonder…
“Until we next meet…” She bowed lightly before departing from the summer house with hand firmly on her wound as she walked out of the door.
