The Djinn was captured. She let out a long and very loud sigh of relief.

Ezri glanced around at her comrades as they all boarded the ship. Never in her life had she been on such a mission. She was amazed, they knew nothing about each other, yet how they all managed to band together in the end. Looking at each of them, she was sure they each had their own story, and gosh was she interested to know them. But instead she remained quiet on the trip back.

She was a curious soul, through and through. When the ship returned, she returned her things and quickly left to wander the base. Such extraordinary things, such extraordinary people. She was still unaware of any promotions, and more or less just simply happy to be alive. She wandered past the medic's office, peeking her head in for a moment. It wasn't anything she hasn't seen, so instead she turned to explore more of the base and its operations. And then she found their bio labs, this she knew nothing of. Bleached white, bright rooms, men in lab coats. She had heard the rumors but never actually thought they were true. "Maybe they can make me not be such a clutz" she thought, chortling quietly. She almost went in when she heard something. Around the corner was one of the new robots. She saw one just before the ship took off for base, but never got a good look. "Science is such a wonderful thing she thought to herself. Peeling her attention from the robot, she went to further explore the base and see what else she could find.
"There is no need to shout, I think you've established your dominance in this situation, buddy" she growls, throwing the dagger to the floor by his feet. Her demeanor suddenly changed. She was certainly scared at first, though never quite showed to be this quivering, frightened little half-elf. She was more out of her element, a child caught with its hand in the cookie jar, with no escape out of the kitchen. What she showed now was certainly discontent, but she had grown tired of being treated like a child, and some petty criminal ... if he only knew ...

"I'm sure the elf was quite irritating to him. Not many elves are much else, my own life was threatened by them. But that man was a bully, and I don't like bullies. Not to mention what judgement would he had received? hm? He was quite content going back to his drinking after he beat the life out of that elf. I only did to him what he deserved. There is a saying, what you put out into this world, you get back upon you ten times over.". Standing before him, she began to snicker quietly, walking towards his sword. "Are you here to deliver my judgement then?", her lips curl into a slight smirk. She just couldn't help herself. Possibly staring death right in the face and all she could do was laugh. "Had I my sword, we would have a proper fight, but as you can see I am without it. So if you're going to kill me, get it done with already. I answered your question, what more do you want?"
Julia jumped up from the position in which she rested, grabbing the dagger from under her pillow.

She was dressed in dingy white cotton trousers, and a white peasant shirt, blue ribbon strung through the seems. Jules stared at the man for a few moments, there was a look in her eyes which shouted disbelief and rage. She held the dagger out towards him in the same manner he aimed his sword at her, but it was clearly an instinctive move. Her eyes darted around the room as she looked for a way out of this. The art of seduction was a cheap trick, even she knew this. And while it fooled the man downstairs, it was clear it wouldn't do anything to Corvus. The room was dark, but what he could see of her, she looked no older than perhaps 20? The slight point of her ears poked through her fire red hair. She was sure no one had followed her, how could they be that quick?! Obviously he was, otherwise he wouldn't be standing there in her room, his sword looking to draw her blood. She moved slowly from the bed, her step was shaky at first. Only a fool would think they could defeat this man in her state, with only the small dagger as her weapon. But her words came out quicker than her thought process took to access the situation.

"I better explain myself?!" she repeated slowly, anger seeping through her words, "What business is it of yours?"
Lol I work in food service, I deal with that crazyness all year round. :p

But good luck to everyone :)
"Packston, behind you!", Ezri yelled over the com.

"I have a shot", she quickly warns, firing a shot into its last legs with the hopes of bringing it to its knees and stopping any hit on Packston. If successful, this might also make it easier to capture.
Beware though, as jerks go, I am the worst :part I broke the one rule of the den :p

By Jove, I think I've got it!Why not stop by The Den? If you're a traveller after all, you'd like some place to stay, wouldn't you?And there you get to meet Julia, or maybe if you were already there from earlier in the day, and a witness to the bar fights or whatever, you could have been trailing her or something. I know it seems a little OP, but it'll probably leave her some interaction. Someone knocking on her door in the dead of night and goingOr something like that. And then cue an intense scene full of unresolved implied sexual tension during the forceful interrogation as to why she killed the man, because when you travel alone for so long and so far...No? No. I'm only...joking....I think. You may do as you please, Feig! I shan't...crowbar way into anything. >>

Roflmao, I officially <3 you. That was probably the best thing I've heard during my horrible night at work :p
"Roger that" settING up a shot, she held her ground, paced her breathing and pulled the trigger of her rifle. "Firing at the Djinn" -BANG- Aimed another shot and fired once more for good luck.
I'm actually really excited for that one Feig :) awesome back story! Hope you have better luck with him.
With the help of the team, Xue was able to stabilize. There was a moment of clarity for Ezri. Bullets flying, buildings crumbling, explosions, through all the noise, she looked around her and a smile crept on her face. But it was that of a genuine happiness, a state of control, of purpose. No one could guess the thoughts going through her head but, something about it all, about what was going on, for a split moment, seemed right to everyone. They had done something together, and there it was.

Still crouched over Xue, securing his safety through the battle and holding her cover, she leaned up on her feet to glance around her. As the smoke cleared, there it was. She pulled out her rifle once more. She chuckled at the clicking sound as readied the weapon. "You see it guys?" there was a determination in her voice, "What's the plan?"
