@AquaknightYou misunderstood a little on Vi's family. They have nothing against Faunus(or anyone really) they just believe in certain methods that others find extremely unethical. This usually isn't an issue since they mostly fight Grimm and only Grimm, but the old patriarch(when the family used to be a lot bigger and they had one) felt like keeping his Fainus serving goals and got them all involved. Things didn't pan out and a majority of the family was executed for War Crimes. Not sure how far back this would go however, maybe two generations at most. Recent enough to make Hyacin a known and somewhat feared/hated name.

Oh okay, I just assumed a bit there, sorry about that~
But Ig will still be uncomfortable with Vi's heritage, as any Faunus would be.
The two won't be friends for a long time or ever, if they're on the same team it would be tense.

Also, @Aquaknight, if they actually where on a team, it'd work surprisingly well from just a technical standpoint of all their powers and fighting styles. Ig and Sol are the flashy, flaming distractions while Vi stays in the back, waiting for the right moment to pop one right between the eyes of their enemy. In reality, Sol(only one I see asserting leadership) would lead them all towards their doom because Impulsive leaders are usually bad leaders.

Technically they could work with their semblances and weapons working well together, in theory. In practice, all their personal issues, flaws and lack of teamwork will make them doomed to fail until they start to work together. I think out of the three of them Ig would be the best leader, he's even tempered and think things though unlike Sol, and he's sociable, unlike Vi. But there's still issues with him as the leader, him being a Faunus might cause trouble with others (Particularly with Vi's family if they still harbor a grudge towards Faunus and most Altasian) and him being an Ex-White Fang might cause issues (and when I say might I mean definitely).

Also, another similarity is that they have strict parents. . . well, more like a strict, slightly unstable parent in Vi's case. Her mom is one of the scariest, yet outwardly sweet people you'll ever meet. Hyacin in general have a history of being a 'bit' off. I'm planning on this being a mark against them due to the fact that the Faunas Revilution happened and some of her family employed some. . . questionable tactics(can anybody say 'war crimes'). So yeah, that's going to be an interesting issue.

If Vi is teammates with Ignatius his inner white fang would scream for the next three years~ That would be amazing~ Not only that but Ignatius's semblance is dangerous to Vi since when she materialized herself she might find herself in a middle of a flame.

Personality

Never one to be outdone, Sol is known for his obnoxiously bright and impulsive attitude. He is a very self centered young man, acting on his whims and expecting everyone to follow. He's quite egotistical, taking himself for some kind of a leader. To Sol, everything is competitive. He can't stand to lose to anyone, leading him to over working himself in almost any task for the sole purpose of being able to be the 'best' at it. He's known to be quite hostile and bitter towards anyone who tries to take the spotlight from him.

Sol has issues following commands, which is quite surprising for someone who grew up in Atlas. He's known to butt heads with other team mates and leaders; never being able to settle for someone else's strategy. No one would deny that Sol is a skilled fighter, but he lacks any real form of coordination or teamwork. He tries to win every fight by out muscling his opponent, growing more and more frustrated if he is failing to overcome them or if his team members try to assist him. He's stubborn as a mule and rarely shows interest in anything other than his own escapades.

Despite what it may seem, Sol is a kind person. He is able to show compassion and even remorse for the times he takes his antics just a tad too far. He's incredibly driven with a point to prove. This ambition can be detrimental at times, but anyone who knows Sol will tell you that his drive to always be pushing himself is downright inspiring.

Trismegistus

Sol's weapon, Trismegistus, is a pair of dual longswords that can be combined into a large greatsword. An additional feature of each sword is the inclusion of special Dust chambers that make up the guard. Each sword has separate chambers, allowing Sol to utilise two different elements at once. When he combines the swords together, the Dust combines to create a different element. For example, having a Fire Enhanced Sword with an Earth Enhanced Sword will combine together to create a Lava Enhanced Greatsword.

Icarus

Sol's Semblance is Icarus, which causes him to glow incredibly bright. In his illuminated form, Sol is able to move much faster than normal and can blind enemies with intense flashes of light. Overusing Icarus can cause Sol to overheat, which puts enourmous strain on his body and prevents him from using his Semblance for a while.

Strengths

Sol is an adept fighter with above average strength.
Sol's weapons give him access to a variety of Dust related attacks.
Sol's semblance makes him lightning quick whilst making it harder for enemies to keep their eyes on him.

Weaknesses

Sol is entirely melee focused, having no ranged attack options.
Sol's defensive capabilities are sub par.
While he's still fast by most standards, he's a lot slower without his Semblance.
Incredibly stubborn and doesn't work well in a team.
His Semblance draws a lot of unwanted attention to him and his allies.

History

Sol is the second eldest child born to a pair of high ranking soldiers in the Atlas military. As is customary, Sol was expected to follow in his family's footsteps and train to be a soldier. His parents were firm, yet loving, in this regard. Sol was expected to maintain proper etiquette befitting of a young cadet at all times. From the time he could hold a sword, his parents had begun grooming him with extra lessons and training. From an outsider's perspective, it would seem as though Sol was the perfect child; obedient, respectful and dedicated. In truth, Sol had grown so afraid of his parent's disapproval that he only listened to them out of fear rather than love or trust.

Everyone has their breaking point; repressing such negative thoughts and feelings would only take Sol so far. His first acts of defiance started out as small, petty things he did to get back at his parents. Not doing up a button properly here, having his stance be ever so slightly improper. Of coarse, his parent's sharp eyes picked up on such mistakes and mercilessly reprimanded Sol for being sloppy. The years went by, and Sol's rebellious nature only continued to grow. The once quiet, respectful boy grew to become loud, defiant and stubborn as anything.

He argued with his parents on almost a daily basis, ran away more times than he could count and even began skipping days at his junior academy. His parents were told that if his attitude continued, he would not be accepted into Atlas Academy to train as a Huntsman. Upon receiving this news, Sol felt defeated. Training to be a huntsman was all he had ever done. His parents dangled the potential of crushing his dreams as a way to keep him in line. Unfortunately, Sol was no longer so easily manipulated.

If studying at the Atlas Academy meant he would need to spend the rest of his young life following his parents demands, then he would become a huntsman somewhere else. Sol ran away from home and from Atlas to the Kingdom of Vale. There he would start attending Beacon, relishing in his newfound freedom. Unfortunately, most have come to know him as an egotistical show off.

I finished Sol. I've left his Relationships clear for now though. Once he's accepted when the OOC is up, I'm sure there will be some prior relationships we can discuss between our characters.

I think Ignatius and Sol would have interest dynamic~
Sol is like the hot sun in a barren desert, blinding and overbearing, and Ignis is the flame that keeps you warm at night but might burn down the whole forest if your not careful~ Also they have that whole light and flames motif going on~ But the two would be terrible on a team, as Ignis flames might hasten Sol's over heating and both are close range fighters.

That's pretty much exactly it. The way I'm doing it should make it pretty powerful though. I'm leveling it out, though, by making her have to shut off her aura in order to do it, so the bone can actually pierce the skin. Not only that, but it actually causes her physical pain, and leaves scars where the bones came out of. Luckily, she can heal herself with her aura once she's retracted the bone.

That's right. A rocket jumper, at least, in theory. My character will propel himself up into the air and rain down explosive power onto people below him.

Yes! It is a Rwby tradition to have a plucky comic relief that turns out to be an awesome fighter and a psychopath in a transparent closet!

@Raijinslayer Leaf is force of pure combat instinct. He doesn't throw strategy completely out the window but overwhelming enemies with an unyielding offense is his preferred method of battle. He does like to tease and push the buttons of his opponents to dominate and control the flow of battle. Something close to mid range with, by RWBY standards, basic functions.

The one idea I already have is a pair of tonfa that releases a bladed chain from the back end of it and can be electrified with dust.

@Vongola_HasayoTonfa's are good, though the blades chains suggest a measure of skill, forethought, strategy and control that I don't really see from you character. Maybe you could go with clawed gauntlets or Katars(maybe they shift into one or the other), So as to get that more primal feel by hitting and slashing, with some other thing to give that RWBY flair. Another idea would be shortswords/daggers for rapid fire attacks, that then turn into automatic pistols/SMGs to help keep up the heat at range. Just a thought.

Like Raijin says a bladed chain might be out of character for Leaf from what we know of him. So maybe he should have a poke like attacks that scatters the enemy team, so maybe rockets or grenades for long distance combat? And a close range weapon that's brutally fast? If you want to use something like the bladed chain maybe use a great sword that changes into a bladed whip for close to mid range and for ranged combat turn into a grenade launcher?
