Ariel, who had joined Iroryn in the water, gladly accepted the water skin and drank deeply. The cold water felt like the nectar of the gods in the scorching heat, sweat clearly visible on her forehead. She had been under no illusions that her journeys with the Company would be any kind of pleasant, and this was clearly no exception. But she had swallowed her apparent discomfort, not wishing to be seen as weak by the more senior members who had accompanied them. This, however, did not stop her from releasing her hair from its leather tie, proceeding to dunk her head in the water. When she pulled her face back out, water streamed down her face, leaving wet spots on the back of her shirt as they dripped off the metallic shoulder plates.
Hearing Stephan's words, she scoffed. "I don't doubt that he's dead, but life is full of surprises. And I'll be damned if I lose out on drinking money because this nobleman happened to be some kind of Ice mage like Ioryn and was able to keep himself cool in this damned heat, or stumbled upon a cache of liquor." What she left unsaid however was that she silently agreed with Olivia. This nobleman's wife must have loved her husband greatly to drop the amount of money that would have been necessary to send them searching for him, and she knew how painful the loss of a loved one was all too well.
Shaking herself from her grim thoughts, Ariel wrung her hair out and pulled it back into its usual pony tail and tied it up with a leather strap, the tie almost invisible as it blended in with her hair. "Now isn't the time to indulge in self pity. We have a mission to accomplish." She chided herself silenty as she pulled one of her daggers from its leather sheathe, examining the edge for signs of dullness.
Name: Ariel Lightwood
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Appearance:

She is 5 foot 7 inches. Unlike the picture, she has heterochromia, her left eye being blue and her right eye being brown. She normally keeps her hair tied into a pony tail behind her back so it does not get in the way.
Bio:
She was born in the City of Golden Shores, her parents being somewhat successful merchants and she herself assisting them in their work. At the age of ten, they were set upon one night by a gang of thieves, who had proceeded to relieve the three of all their valuables and profits of the day. Not happy yet with their haul, they then tried to steal her as well from them, presumably to sell her as a servant on the black market. Her parents, having attempted to fight back against the kidnapping, were stabbed multiple times in front of her. Before the group could take her however, they were ambushed by a rogue vigilante, his fiery blades cutting through cloth and skin like butter.
Nicholson, as her savior introduced himself, took her in, raising her as if she was his own. He taught her how to steal food and clothing without being detected, how to defend herself, and even continued teaching her how to read and write. For several years, they lived happily with each other, despite the harrowing circumstances they regularly encountered. However, after she turned eighteen, he had become very sick. During this time, she spent all the money she could find and steal on trying to find a cure for him. Having found nothing, his time came at the beginning of the next year. Before his death however, he bequeathed to her his pair of fiery blades and pleaded with her not to continue their lifestyle, wanting her to achieve something greater in her life.
Grief ridden, she took odd jobs in an attempt to follow her long time mentor's last wishes. After four years, she had begun to despise the city she had been born and raised in, having made very little progress in her attempts at an honest living. Then, one night while trying to drink her worries away in an inn, she heard tales of a company of mercenaries by the name of the Bloodrose Irregulars. The next morning, she gathered up what little possesions she had and left for Honimora, figuring anything was better than staying in her birthplace.
Now, being a new recruit to the company, she awaited her first mission...

Fighting Style: Thief. She has very swift and agile movements, focusing on dispatching her opponent as quickly and quietly as possible. Sneak attacks and back attacks are her specialty, and is not beyond the use of trickery to get the best of her opponent.
Equipment: A pair of Tanto daggers. Also carries several throwing knives.
Skills/Abilities: Her main blades are relics of the fire type, allowing her to spontaneously heat them up at will to a glowing, white hot temperature without damaging the blades. She is currently however unable to maintain the heat for more than a few seconds. She is also talented at remaining hidden and quiet.
Other Information:
Ah, oops. I just tacked it on for you.

I'm sorry if the bio is kind of rough. I'm very rusty.

I've been wanting Cyberpunk since it was announced at Witcher 3 launch. Gib gib, CDPR.

Borderlands 3 too, but I won't be buying it on Epic...
Would sooner buy it on UPlay.
Just gonna give this a small bump.
Name: Jesse Lightwood
Age: 23
Race: Elf
Race description(if applicable): N/A
Appearance(be as descriptive as possible/pictures are fine): He has different colored eyes, the left one blue and the right one green. He has shoulder length brown hair, usually kept tied into a braid that hangs over his shoulder. He is somewhat short, only being five foot five. He has a very slender, almost feminine build. On his waist he keeps a adamantite claymore, named Maellartarchen. On its blade is etched the runes of its name in elven script.
Ability(s): Summoner/Weapon mage
Background(why did they choose to join the ISF?): Among the elves, Jesse is what as known as a sensitive, one particularly attuned to the aetherial currents, which gives him even greater ability for channeling aether than the average elf. As of recently, he had begun to notice strange fluctuations in the Aether. And after a lightning strike ended up wiping out miles of the great forest in Alfheim, he went to the elven royal family to warn them of its possible cause. However, they did not take him seriously, frustrating him greatly. Wishing to prevent further disasters, he took the ISF up on their offer and jumped on the first airship to Idris.
Other(Put any other details you think are important to your character here):
I went ahead and made it because why not. roleplayerguild.com/topics/178300-idr…
On the table/counter/chair/tree stump in front of you lies a small tape recorder, received via messenger. And upon pressing the button on
the side, the surprisingly clear voice of a dignified young man erupts from the device.
"Greetings, <insert name here>, I am Commander in Chief of the Idris Special Forces, Isaac Miller. You are receiving this message
because I believe you would be an excellent fit for a new team I am forming, Task Force 10. In this team, you will be tasked with handling matters unsuited for brute force. I will not lie to you. You will be put in many extremely dangerous situations, and I can not guarantee your survival. However, your participation in this team will help assure the continued survival and development of all known sentient life. And you will be compensated heavily for your trouble, as will any persons you mention within your will should the worst happen. As I'm sure you know, there has been a variety of...disasters that have occured within the past year. Land slides, massive tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes, and strange entities appearing out of thin air and ripping apart villages. We believe it all to be related, and they are the reason why we are in such a hurry to form this team. If you are interested, please report to your closest Idris recruiter and hand them this recorder. Thank you for hearing me out. Isaac out." The device clicks then goes quiet. In the distance, you hear the sound of a lightning strike, despite the sky being perfectly clear....

Okay, I hope I didn't scare you off. Never been all too hot at this whole "introduction thing", but you have to start somewhere. Anyways,
this RP is actually based upon a series of stories I have been working on in my leisure time(No you can't read them, they're trash. Besides, spoilers~) After continually hitting road block after block, I eventually came to the realization that this idea may work out better in an RP environment, with the separate characters not all controlled by one author. Thus, I decided to turn it into a RP, so I may actually be able to see my ideas turn into something cool to write and read. As the RP goes on, I will add the events from the RP into the lore sheets linked below to make it easier to follow along for current and future players, as well as any guests who wish to just sit and read it. I will create the IC thread upon the creation of at least four characters, one of which will be mine of course. I will be putting a limit of seven participating characters at the current time, and may consider increasing this limit in the future depending on how well the RP goes.
Lastly, you may notice some heavy Final Fantasy vibes, FFXIV in particular, in the lore and the story itself. I am a huge Final Fantasy
fanboy, and currently have 2400 hours clocked in FFXIV according to steam. Don't judge me.
Races of Mithra(more to come)
Note: You are not limited to these races. But if you are using a race not on this list, I require a full description of said race so I can approve it and add it to the lore sheet.
