Trouble is that a name change from an existing user will take the presence of the admin to go into the database and make some changes which will happen... who knows when. So it depends on the admin popping in.

While this could be nifty in the event of active development, I'd imagine this would be pretty low on the development list, and development is currently anything but active. In other words, I wouldn't expect expansion to GM tags anytime soon.
