The shower of cats kept on pouring for a full three minutes before the magic circle closed up. As a result, the ground around the four was littered with little furries. Perhaps thinking that Nekoboro was their leader, many had climbed atop Gog's bulky body and snuggled with the talking cat.
"They are real Gog, but not too real. I don't know, maybe they're not real. Watch, meow," Nekoboro pulled out his sardine and smacked the closest cat around him. It let out a cute screech and disappeared with a poof. The others didn't seem to mind it so much. "No bigger stuff, Lia. Cats are cats after all, meow."
"Sorry...I don't think I can hold on much longer..."
The moment Kyouka uttered those words, all of the cats disappeared. Poof, meow, poof, meow, poof, meow...the only cat left was Nekoboro.
"You okay, Kyouka? You still have some magic left, meow?"
"Ah, I'm good," she replied.
"Okay then, you need to rest though," Nekoboro tapped Gog's head, "how much further until the forest, meow?"
