Bio

Hello! I'm a 20 year old professional ballerina and aspiring writer. I will be attending college next fall, for a musical theatre degree, and I want to explore myself as a writer while I still have a lot of free time to write. I have been RPing since I was 13, when I started with a Harry Potter story, and I've been writing fanfiction and original work since not long after that. I consider myself to be a high casual/advanced RPer... once I start writing, it's hard for me to stop! I had an account on here many eons ago, but I lost it and decided to start anew. My fandoms include HP, Supernatural, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Firefly, Merlin, Chronicles of Narnia, LOTR, SAO, Fruits Basket, Ouran High School Host Club, Pokemon, Marvel, DC, and countless others. I also am highly interested in anything that involves medieval time periods, magical creatures and fairies, or time travel.

Here are some of the details we have so far:

Rumors of an impending attack upon the kingdom of Leincrad are spreading faster than wildfire. The King of Leincrad fears that these rumors are true, because he has long known that the militant kingdom of Renado is constantly seeking to expand its reaches and power.

Prince Aidan of Leincrad has finally been entrusted with an important and crucial task: to extend the hand of alliance to the neighboring kingdom of Lyonsvarg. He must complete his mission before Renado has the chance to sway Lyonsvarg’s allegiance to their favor. Those forces combined would mean the end of all that is Leincrad.

Such an undertaking requires finesse. Prince Aidan must go with only a single companion in the hopes that a small duo will be harder to detect by Renado’s spies and soldiers. This companion must be excellent in combat and be willing to lay down their life to protect the Prince and complete the mission.

Prince Aidan is given the chance to select his own protector. Instead of choosing someone from the Royal Guard who might be too recognizable, he holds a tournament to see who is the best and the bravest of the trustworthy young knights with lesser-known faces who have recently proven their worth in both training sessions and skirmishes in Leincrad’s service. The winner will be taken aside and offered a handsome amount of money to escort the Prince to Lyonsvarg.

Little does he know that the winner of the tournament is not what he expected at all… But by the time he meets his new long-term companion, it is too late to enlist someone else. They’re stuck with each other; for better or for worse.
Tserelia walked purposefully through the village, not really bothering to look at anything that was going on around her. For the most part, things didn’t change very much from day to day in Hollien. The occasional interesting traveler would pass through, or someone might forge an impressive weapon she could gaze wistfully at, wishing she had the money and the skills to own something of the sort. But there was little else to keep her interest.

She had been preparing for a journey for over a fortnight, now. Despite her Auntie Janobel’s disapproval of the idea, Tserelia hadn’t been expressly forbidden to leave. Janobel had only told her to be watchful and to take care, because there were countless dangers out in the wide world.

But Tserelia had hardly ever even been much further than the Forest of Warlic, in all her hundred and eighty years on this earth. She’d visited various other Elven settlements and even a few Central Marketplaces teeming with humans, gnomes, warlocks, and all manner of peoples; but there was so much more out there. That was why she’d taken the time she needed to learn basic combat and weaponry, survival skills, and mystical healing arts, to prepare her for finally being able to leave. And today would be the day! There was only one more thing she needed: a better knapsack. Her usual one had finally busted at the seams, after eighty years of lugging it around. Tserelia had been able to commission a new one from Anoshka, Hollien’s resident master of leatherworking, mapmaking, scribework, and story-telling.

Tserelia didn’t hardly notice the elf who was waving her down until he stepped right into her path, and she crashed into him. “Mmph!” she exclaimed, smacking her face right into a strong chest. “What do you think you’re doing, Sammeran?” she asked, taking a step back to look up at him.

The tall, pale-haired elf smirked at the sight of her reddened cheeks and nose. “You’re not heading to that old map-maker’s shop again, are you, Eli? You must be growing weary of his company. Come and dine with me tonight. We can go scale some trees and… get to know each other. Just you and me, underneath the stars, alone in the forest."

Tserelia stepped around him with a frown. “I’ve told you not to call me Eli,” she reminded him. “And how many times have I told you I don’t want anything to do with you?" She continued on her way, but Sammeran fell into step beside her.

“Come, now. You’ve a pretty enough face, and you’re smart enough to know that nothing good will come of this wanderlust of yours. Why don’t you leave the traveling and battling to the men? You should be working on how to pleasure a man, not how to craft your own arrows.”

Tserelia froze and rounded on him, hands on her hips as she stared defiantly up at him, even though he stood nearly a foot taller than her. “Gerwenna the Bold. Ilessya, the Wandering Warrior. Dresedel of the Lightning Blade. Those are just a spare few of the Elven maidens who have made history and made names for themselves traveling around the world,” she told him sharply. “Countless others still journey these lands today. It doesn’t matter that none of them came from here in Hollien, and you’re a fool if you think a female is good for nothing more than welcoming you into bed. I suggest you get those close-minded thoughts out of your head before I bash them out for you. Now, stop following me and go find some featherbrained youngling to woo.”

Sammeran actually looked taken aback. He didn’t reply, but it was clear that his pride had taken a blow, thanks to the chuckles of surrounding passersby who had witnessed their exchange. Tserelia quickened her pace and kept walking, shoulders tense from their encounter. She didn’t turn back to look at Sammeran, who, thankfully, didn’t come after her. She knew that she’d likely have to deal with people far worse than him in her travels. Perhaps she would start with exploring the forests and caves instead of other cities. She’d much rather face a rabid wolf-bear or a giant spider than another guy like Sammeran. Perhaps Anoshka had some maps of the wilderness that she could borrow or purchase along with the new knapsack.
Hey! So since we mostly chat via PM, I figured we can put our Characters here in the OOC tab and not worry about them getting lost among all the posts. We just need basic info like names and appearance.

Oh, and if we need a map reference as we go along, I can edit all our new places and directions we create into this post, so we have a general idea of where things are. I may even sketch out a basic layout (it won't be anything fancy, though. xD)

The Western Mountains are the furthest West ridge of mountains. Nestled at its base is the town of Hollien, where many Wood Elves dwell. To the East of Hollien is the Forest of Warlic.

Name: Tserelia
Appearance: Curly brown hair, hazel eyes, slim build, about 5’3”
Age: 180 in Elven years, 18 in human years
Origins: Lives in Hollien, an Elven settlement past the Forest of Warlic, at the base of the Western Mountains. Tserelia was raised by an aunt-like figure who doesn't understand why she wants to see the rest of the world when everything she could ever need is right in Hollien.
@Red Helix Yes, definitely! Shoot me a PM whenever you want to chat.

@Bozo My preference is typical Tolkien-esque style with a hint of Dragonlance Chronicles; so all the different races you can think of, plus all different kinds of magic. I do like adding in steampunk and more advanced technological elements if it's done well. PM me and we can talk it out!

@EthTenshi Sweet! Send me a PM.
Still interested and working on my character.
Hello there! I’m ariplotter; a 20-year-old ballerina with some RP cravings and a lot of free time over winter break. I generally write High Casual to Advanced, and I’m looking for someone who is literate and has similar interests. I’m currently involved with a few RPS, but most of them are moving fairly slowly. If I feel like I’ve taken on enough, I’ll update the Topic with a “Currently Closed” addendum, but there’s always the possibility of it opening up again.

I pretty much only RP as a female, and I really prefer RPing with male partners because the possibility of a romance often makes for a better story, and it can help with character development along the way. I’m a fan of all kinds of romance, whether it be love at first sight, friendship blossoming into more, improper but intense sexual tension, or good ol’ “I can’t stand you argh you’re so insufferable oh wait I’m actually really attracted to you take me now”. Also, bear in mind that I find world-building very important; meaning that I want to have an established setting before we jump right into writing.

I’m open to light smut and violence, but please, no rape, abuse, etc. If you feel like a more intense scene will add more to the story, talk it over with me and I might be open to it.

My main interest is medieval/fantasy adventures, but if you have other ideas, don’t be afraid to make a suggestion. And if we do wind up RPing together, and you have to back out or quit, just be decent enough to let me know instead of dropping off the face of the earth ._.

I’m totally open to chatting OOC and planning and figuring out parts of the storyline as we go along. Also, my characters can range from submissive sweetheart to stubborn tomboy to feisty vixen, so if you already have a specific character you want to play with, know that my characters are flexible and I can adjust mine to work with yours.

A pair of * means that I’m especially craving this kind of story, bold means that I have a plot in mind, and ( ) indicate the character I would prefer to play.

Also, I have many more ideas in mind; these are just the ones I’ve thought of right now. Check back for updates. Thanks for looking!

Kieran stared up at the lady who had introduced herself as the Headmistress of the castle-like building that was looming behind her. Off to the side, there was a boy who looked a little younger than Kieran, and seemed just as confused and nervous about being here.

“Uh. Hm.” Kieran stood to his feet and brushed himself off, making sure that everything was still intact. “I’m Kieran. Did I just fall into a painting?” he asked, gazing around to get a feel for his surroundings.
Awesomesauce. Placed Kieran in the CS tab and posted my "falling in" post.
Kieran locked the doors to make sure that no straggling customers would try to enter the shoppe even though it was clearly marked, “CLOSED”. That happened far too often.

Sighing nonchalantly, he stuck a lollipop into his mouth and looked at the painting his manager had left for him. She’d left it on the floor, propped up against the baseboard of the wall she wanted it hung up on. Honestly, it didn’t look like quite the right fit for this place. It was a cool painting, sure, but what did a medieval castle floating amid a bunch of clouds have to do with ice cream? And why was it so sparkly around the edges?

Kieran moved closer to the painting and knelt down, to get a better look at it. The blue sparkles were seriously getting a little bit out of control. And what exactly did that plaque say at the bottom? Caldwell’s... Academy…

Kieran rocked forward on the balls of his feet, squinting to read the rest of the words. Only, he rocked a little too far forward, and grabbed the painting to regain his balance.

He didn’t get a chance to finish reading the plaque, because as soon as his hands made contact with the painting, he felt a strange sensation, like his whole body burst apart in a blaze of light and was put back together again in a completely different place.

Kieran blinked dizzily, noticing that he was now on his hands and knees, and his hands were pressed against a surprising amount of spongy green grass. Somehow, the lollipop had remained intact in his mouth. The painting he'd touched was nowhere to be seen. Come to think of it, the ice cream shoppe was also nowhere to be seen.
